  3. I always let them pass, then I can fall in behind them and try to keep up.

  5. Yes I think I saw some UK Tea Bags in there myself but they were past their sell by date. I usually get by with what I bring on my own trip in the summer, supplemented by scrounging off keyman when he comes out in winter. He actually brought me 2 big packets last year, rather more than my needs. I don't have 6 cups a day here like I do in the UK, more likely 1 or 2.

  7. I am somewhat amazed that it even worked, and un-amazed that it was totally ignored.

  9. Seems to be moving along well! Quite sure the underpass will need to be able to handle trucks and coaches..... but you have given me an idea for a future sweepstake. How long after opening will a vehicle over the height restriction take to hit the tunnel roof?
  10. Yes, you can pop into soi 6 afterwards or have something to eat at Simple Simon!
  11. Nice mornings lately, still afternoon rains though, perfect!

  12. Hey, I have hunted for the towels too and found them on the bed. Towels should be kept in the bathroom!
  13. When I read it I did think it was 'right'...... sorry it goofed up your later extension. Obviously you cannot exit on a re-entry based on the old extension, and then return based per the new extension. (I hope I got that right). It would make sense to cancel prior (unused) re-entry permits on issuance of a new extension. You have reminded me to watch out for something similar, I usually get a multiple re-entry permit straight away after getting the new extension.

  15. You do right, I had a stone switched in Saudi Arabia. I never really checked at the time, you sort of don't expect things like that to happen in a country where they chop bits off for criminal behaviour.

  17. Quite a downpour yesterday. Remember to go out by the lake this weekend for the boat and buffalo races.

  21. Had a bit of fun getting rid of the tookay yesterday, normally release them in a casava field 2 km away (they come back if released nearby). I released it from the plastic basket and it about turned and jumped on my foot, then ran up my leg, horrified I knocked it off and it scampered under my bike and I couldn't see it. So I set off thinking it was gone, and luckily decided to get rid of the plastic basket rather than go straight into town. Just as I turned into my street the damned thing climbed up onto my instruments and looked around and at me. I turned around and drove slowly back all the time worried the damned thing would decide to start climbing up my arm while I could do little about it. Got to the casava field again, knocked it off and it climbed straight back on my bike and into the plastic pocket by the knee. A Thai man came over and jabbed a stick at it until it it dropped down and ran off, he must have been as disinclined to touch it as me. (They bite and refuse to let go). Earlier, disposing of the snake, I scared the hell out of a few monks passing by sitting in a motorcycle side car.
  22. Looks painful, some of these insect and snake bites actually dissolve tissue. You might need a shot, be it anti-biotic, tetanus or something!
  23. But you do incorporate a big lump of fat in there!
  24. No weirder than maple syrup my friend!
