I think you will have plenty of time. You will have no issues getting out of Pattaya so early and leaving from Naklua are already North of the tunnel works. Motorway traffic may get a bit heavy due to rush hour but for me that is worst in an evening after some holidays with people returning to the City. It is over a month since I saw it but there was some resurfacing work near Laem Chabang that was causing tailbacks for both directions, and Northward looked particularly bad.

Good, I have to go through that way on Sunday! On Thursday I got in a bit of a mess trying to come into town..... I normally turn off the Railway Line Bypass just before the motorway flyover but the junction was all blocked up with stationary idiots so I carried on to Soi Siam CC and U-Turned back and got onto the motorway then to Sukhumvit. That junction was all choked up so the lights weren't doing much good.

Yes I have seen them a few times and I got a mouthful when I warned another passenger. Did you happen to notice whether they paid the baht bus driver when they got off? If the driver knew what was going on why didn't he call the police?

I must admit that if I am early enough I will take the diversion on these days and come all the way north to Soi Siam CC on the railway line bypass, pop into the bank opposite Numchai and then join Sukhumvit there. It isn't too bad on the bike. Then I take the first U-Turn to come back south to Klang, or maybe turn at the boxing stadium. The North bound choke point is pretty bad, particularly when it includes the diversion onto the old south bound carriageway (pic above thank you forcebwithu).It is quiet in town of course now, December will be a different matter. Looks like they are really going to do this....... I thought they might postpone it after a few months under the weight of complaints and inconvenience! I see minibuses still pick up and drop off near the gas station, also coinciding with where Klang traffic filters in. Particularly slow on Sunday, an obvious reason, the police were there controlling traffic!!

I know the walk to/from the Qatar A380 boarding place is a long one! Won't have any specific impact on immigration queues leaving Thailand, there might be a longer wait on arrival if you are a slow walker, but it should be spread out amongst several lines. I have a Daikin Inverter unit in my bedroom. It seems to be pretty economical compared to the Samsung I chucked away. it is a few years old now but for your spec you would need a FTKD12HV2S indoor and RKD12HV2S outdoor. Rated at 10,900 BTU and EER of 12.28 It seems to have 5 speeds on the indoor unit but I normally switch it to night mode when I go to bed (it comes on in auto mode about an hour before then). I still have the booklet on that model. Daikin Inverter won't be cheap (Daikin are good but pricey). If it is only for your computer room maybe you are overspending? The Pattaya Homepro had a special offer on a Daikin 12,000 BTU unit only last week, but a non-inverter model, I think it was 19,000 baht but not sure on that, she wrapped Pappaya in the flyer! You got a Homepro up there? We got a big new fancy one on Sukhumvit!

I was just thinking as I grabbed a Schweppes Mai Niaow out of the fridge..... These buggers and their deceptive ways...... Along with the Dry Ginger Ale and Tonics they are all now 325ml, down from 333 and in a taller but much thinner can! Which made me have to move the shelves around in my fridge a while back. Well I still make one can handle 2 mixed drinks by adding 1 more ice cube and perhaps a finger more of liquor. So you have not helped your profits, more my drinking issues. I will be on neat gin at this rate, anyone for a dry martini? There is a rumour beer volumes will be decreasing, isn't the Carlsberg bottle already smaller than the 330ml? The ones in the Qatar lounge at Manchester were tiny, about 250ml, I looked at it hard and decided to take two.

As I was wandering around Jomtiem yesterday I noticed that the Baht/£ cash rate being offered at the exchanges was about 25 satang higher than posted on my banks website. And that both the sending bank, and receiving bank would charge me for the privilege of making a 'telex transfer' between UK and here. Makes it tempting to bring one's spending money over in cash, change it at TT exchange and then deposit it. It isn't all about the couple of thousand baht one might make over the risk of carrying large amounts of cash... cutting the banks cuts is tempting too!
