  1. Something to do with the Tourist Visa exempt stay being for 30 days perhaps.
  2. I put my faith in some wine and an after meal Drambui!
  3. Ron Perlman
  4. Great, I can get stuck behind one of those going up the hills in the National Park. Perhaps we will get the towed caravans too to add to the fun!
  5. Jude Law
  6. The profit margins are generally much better on Biz Class seats and to reduce the size of the cabin makes it less appealing I would expect. LHR is very much a Business airport.
  7. No rain at my place for a while.

  8. More than likely, there has been continuous construction in that area (soi 15) for a few years now and you see more cement trucks than ice-cream sellers. I always though it to be a good place for a condo, central and just cut through The Avenue and you are practically on the Beach. If it is 4 years since you saw it there has been a lot of construction since.
  9. It is a bit 'busy' out back as there are a couple of condo projects ongoing there. At one time I counted 6 cranes around that area.
  10. Quite a few reviews on Trip Advisor...... Personally I would go for a hotel slightly away like the Areca as I like to get the odd night of sleep and it is just too busy around Soi LK Metro at night.
  11. I think you will have plenty of time. You will have no issues getting out of Pattaya so early and leaving from Naklua are already North of the tunnel works. Motorway traffic may get a bit heavy due to rush hour but for me that is worst in an evening after some holidays with people returning to the City. It is over a month since I saw it but there was some resurfacing work near Laem Chabang that was causing tailbacks for both directions, and Northward looked particularly bad.
  12. Good, I have to go through that way on Sunday! On Thursday I got in a bit of a mess trying to come into town..... I normally turn off the Railway Line Bypass just before the motorway flyover but the junction was all blocked up with stationary idiots so I carried on to Soi Siam CC and U-Turned back and got onto the motorway then to Sukhumvit. That junction was all choked up so the lights weren't doing much good.
  13. Thanksgiving day already. Time does fly.
  14. Yes I have seen them a few times and I got a mouthful when I warned another passenger. Did you happen to notice whether they paid the baht bus driver when they got off? If the driver knew what was going on why didn't he call the police?
  15. Brooklyn's Finest
  16. How was it? Barry Upton has formed a Ladyboy singing group and will take them on a tour of the UK, called Gurlz? Will you be going to see them too?
  17. Just to let you know, girls are most certainly allowed on the board.
  18. Clear blue, hot and sunny.

  19. Billy Bob Thornton.
  20. I must admit that if I am early enough I will take the diversion on these days and come all the way north to Soi Siam CC on the railway line bypass, pop into the bank opposite Numchai and then join Sukhumvit there. It isn't too bad on the bike. Then I take the first U-Turn to come back south to Klang, or maybe turn at the boxing stadium. The North bound choke point is pretty bad, particularly when it includes the diversion onto the old south bound carriageway (pic above thank you forcebwithu). It is quiet in town of course now, December will be a different matter. Looks like they are really going to do this....... I thought they might postpone it after a few months under the weight of complaints and inconvenience! I see minibuses still pick up and drop off near the gas station, also coinciding with where Klang traffic filters in. Particularly slow on Sunday, an obvious reason, the police were there controlling traffic!!
  21. Butch there are a couple but they also want to sell a limo service. http://www.limousine.in.th/fasttrack.php http://www.bangkokfasttrack.com/payment.html I have not used any of these as I always had the complimentary Fast Track.
  22. They look very nice but could you rotate the picture next time please.
  23. A little light rain, cloudy and cool. I will take it.

  24. I know the walk to/from the Qatar A380 boarding place is a long one! Won't have any specific impact on immigration queues leaving Thailand, there might be a longer wait on arrival if you are a slow walker, but it should be spread out amongst several lines. There was a bit of a mess due to remodelling going on when I landed early June.
  25. Big storm coming......
