Would Soi Xcite not be better, the speed bumps seemingly less of a danger than the Chaiyapoon, pot-holes? I will admit I do the assault course when in the mood for an MP dalliance to have a look around. Some of the places on that Rd have abysmal facilities though.

You know very well it used to be on TV when we were kids. I was sat in the Bangkok Bank today, rather longer than I wanted to be but a complicated request from me and 2 mistakes from them forced it. It gave me time to look at the exchange rates, which tell me I would have got 3000 baht more had I waited a few days to send my money over. Enough for a BB LT or a GGB ST, o-well! It wasn't too bad, there is some dandy eye-candy in there, and it is nice and cool, about the same temperature as a Walking Street GGB beer! Cooler still than some!The apologetic young lady was pretty, and polite, and spoke well. But was surprised I hadn't any children, and offered to be my daughter. Wasn't sure how to take that, offended as being seen as a daddy figure (realistic actually), or was there more to it as she had seen my bank accounts? I was offered 'insurance policies' by 3 different staff members, some deal about getting 3% interest and life coverage for about half a million a year, and some-money back on maturity. There was a 5 year and a 10 year option, and I declined saying my 10 year plan was staying alive and no more. Sorry, my mind wanders more these days, pretty girls and short skirts sparked a few neurons, and nothing else flinched.

I don't think there is much difference between the banks, and the kiosks belonging to the banks match their posted rates. You will see small differences, for example, I just checked and Bangkok Bank offer 0.2 baht more than SCB for cash notes. But if I had cash notes I would be going to the TT kiosks which are consistently better than banks. Don't the ATMs just offer the standard Visa rate?

I was on Soi Honey Inn on Monday, close to midday. I was going to try the second place down from Bua Khao but it was full of monks eating. I tried next door and a nice lady said, 'Massage, no better you try soi Bua khao, here we do xxxx job, xxxx job and xxxx xxxx'...... jeez honey, the mystery is part of the enjoyment.

Thanks, helpful if annoying! I tried my Windows 7 laptop and that wouldn't seem to work at all with the site. BBC IPlayer worked fine and I ended up watching that. So could be my ISP (although the VPN should eliminate that), Adblock (but I turned it off and I do not have it on Internet explorer)., or my Virus protection I suppose. Still problematic this morning......

I use this as an alternative to yet another box under my TV, but thank you for the suggestion. I also believe Lanzalad said his box didn't work with 'True'... which I have.

I use this site, http://www.watchfreeview.com/ to watch UK TV, along with the BBC Iplayer. BBC is OK, but I am having issues with the http://www.watchfreeview.com/ site, in that after 5 minutes, whatever I am watching just frrezes, whichever channel. I normally use a VPN and a UK based server (as that allows me to switch to the BBC which is blocked to non-UK IPs). I get the 5 minute freeze in both Firefox and Internet Explorer..... On a Vista laptop and a Win8 pad. Problems with or without VPN, and also using VPN servers elsewhere. It is blocked in the USA, so a US server is no good. Can someone see if they have the same problem, or whether I need to screw around more. Perhaps the issue is Flash Player, which I heard had security issues, was blocked by Firefox, and then got updated. Maybe Opera or Chrome can be tested for me.

I know they do it at the BHP as I was discussing that very subject only yesterday... (don't ask). I got an opinion of it being an unpleasant and painful experience and it was 10,000Baht /polyp removal! (it being painful may have been due to this person having a problem).
