It may be different in the USA! Friday Night is traditional 'ladz night out' in the UK and has never been a night for football. I wonder if it is another nail in the coffin for the pubs if guys stay home to watch the match. In the USA,if shown live West Coast, would it not be rather early for the pubs at 11.45am?

Yes I see the differences in time of year. I have a large blind on my lounge window, which is pretty much East facing, yet I have to move it towards the South around September and back t'other way as we pass through say March. I even fitted extra hooks to facilitate this silliness. I was also recently shocked to find my gas cylinders were in direct sunlight and pretty hot up against a North facing wall. Houses of course are built with overhanging roofs to keep the sun off during the heat of the day but condo and hotel walls don't have that protection. Another difference is that in Europe you may want the sun on you, here I avoid it!

Well a particular girl at a MP wasn't around yesterday and appeared to have gone off for a few days. But still plenty of others still working, I guess that those that can afford to went home. I do nothing special for my TGF, as she isn't a mother, but she did go off to one of those organised candle holding sing-song events for an hour. As to her own mother, lives rather far away so trips there not taken lightly. I got a few 'hints' in the preceding days but I was in the village only in June so it isn't happening again some time soon.

I was thinking something similar but along the lines of a guy wearing a long sleeved shirt and work-pants likely on-his-way-home from work and not quite getting there. Sitting outdoors in Bangkok of an evening not advised in Feb-June. Good collection of girls isn't it, has me thinking of having 'one last night in Bangkok' to make me humble.

True, nor I, but I actually meant the portion of mushy peas. I once had Fish and Chips at the Golden Ferret which is in the New Plaza, it was pretty good and very cheap. That was a year ago, is that still worth a visit?

I wouldn't suggest going out there on your rented bike.

I think it would be useful for leaving Thailand as sometimes the security queues are very long. And of course some days the arrivals queues are very long too and you could carry on walking to Fast Track area. If I remember correctly the flight crew line is also a specific one within the Fast-Track area although are you required to be in uniform?

You are paying 500 baht to simply avoid the queue when you arrive. There is also a possibility there will only be a few people waiting when you arrive and it will not help, really depends on the time. Then you are waiting for your suitcase.
