  1. I expect or hope that the Thai Embassy or one of the USA consulates would be the best source...... Reading the Thai Visa forum too, although that can be time consuming. (Lot of rumour, hyperbole and yakking to go through). It doesn't sound sensible to me though if you have no current plans or likelihood of travelling in the next month or two. So many things could happen in the interim, perhaps even an accommodation for using vaccination 'passports'.
  2. As far as I know it there are a couple of topics written by people who went through this process. Yes a quarantine in a ASQ facility of 14 days (or is it 15 if the day you arrive does not count). At this moment proof of vaccination is not a criterion, Covid free tests and COE are required. I thought it had to be reserved before travel and probably paid for too. The ASQ that is... Covid insurance is also required which should cover hospitalization etc. There is just too much talk of ideas to make it easier for tourists, for example the quarantine was shortened before, but went back up again when the situation in India and Thailand deteriorated. There are ideas for Phuket and Hua Hin to allow people in for holidays, but hard to keep ahead of the gossip. I have sort of given up along with the Expat vaccination process saga and adopted The Man Who Knows Too Little approach, Que sera sera.
  3. I thought of you the other day as I rode down Bong Koch towards 3rd Rd. Those drainage gratings just beyond Bong Koch 8 do not look cycle friendly.

  5. Does that suggest the old pumps weren't working? No, couldn't be so.
  6. And right on time, it rained quite heavily at my place.

  11. Yes quite an experience..... I think I recall seeing the runway out of the window once and wondering where we were going. Cathay, non stop from LHR.
  12. And there we have it.......
  13. Well Bullfrog must be salivating as we sniff the underside of 44 baht/£....... Highest since 2018.... (Nowt to spend it on.....)
  14. I had my pool surround cleaned up a while back..... they use acid, I think sulphuric but might be anything. One dead Leelawadee tree.
  15. They get closed due to bickering....(and me being too lazy to selectively remove posts, which also winds people up). Much as I quite enjoy watching planes, not sure I could handle 9 hours of it.... I just did the snooker and that was a trial.
  16. I recently had to take out a tree in my garden.... I thought my wife planted it but she insisted not. It was a Banyan tree and boy could that sod grow... mostly underground. From a seed I guess. It had already damaged my grey water drainage and I feared for a wall, my pool and it breaking up concrete next door. Didn't like to do this but I feared I had to act....

  19. Not free then? That is all very comprehensive Bill but a bit mind numbing. I simply figured if my Thai Mrs can't register, as she is not old enough, it is unlikely I will be able to. it will get sorted but as is often the case here they will debate the hell out of it first. I have hopes private hospitals will eventually be offering paid for vaccinations, because the government organized one is failing to do the job. Until then, or infections plummet, I am leading the life of a hermit.
