  2. I haven't seen much of those toys, but a Fino looks pretty much like one.
  3. Was that a whoosh over Joe?
  4. Perhaps as a farang one would not regarded as 'the public'......

  6. I hope so, although I am originating from the other end, ex Bangkok, I want to go to Manchester in May.I would also like to travel Business class... but all I see are fares in excess of £2000! I could buy a row of seats for that in economy...... hey there's an option! I don't feel well inclined to Air India, I flew with them once in Biz Class and it was actually pretty good. My problem would be the transit. When on earth are these Middle East airlines going to release some specials?

  8. Yes, that is how I did it. You become a director with controlling interest. The scaremongers will say it isn't fully legal, but this is Thailand and things 'work' like that. Since the house is already in a company name, that would be the obvious way, plus that is more straightforward and avoids many taxes. You have to ensure the company doesn't carry any debts or liabilities. A second option is to form another (new) company and transfer the assets........ more work for the lawyers. How a farang owns a house is another whole library........ Good luck with the sale. Buying a house that has been lived in may not suit the TGF, but it is a good idea, as the problems have hopefully been sorted, particularly by a farang owner. How much of the furniture and fittings are being included? Water pumps and ACs for eg, TVs and furniture. For a retired guy, ready to live in (arrive with a case of beer, some towels and your clothes) is great.

  10. How do you get to sleep with all those elephants watching you? (I know, draw the curtains)

  14. Hell no, I like cool overcast weather with some rain.Cheaper electric and water bills... Although it makes the grass grow a bit fast, mowing that shit is when I get my tan.
  15. Just the usual morning frustrations of internet hang-ups.Although you seem to have little to do 'over there' at 2am. Other than make snide comments that is. Got any regarding Liz Taylor and her addictions?

  17. You are quite right, I have not read his book (did HE actually write it), and may have his reaction completely wrong. But to say I am ignorant of his habits is also erroneous. Perhaps you and him can crack a joke or two over his habit and his incomplete bag of plums. Mr Downey, while being at least as infamous, was hardly flattered by Mr Gervais. Sometimes people don't like to be reminded of their failings, and to talk ill of him might be considered snide. I respect Jimmy's skill, his waste of it I would not insult him with, I am sure he knows.
  18. Pretty tacky, I hope you will be there to ask him yourself.
  19. I hope they manage to stay up in the sky unlike a more modern USA aircraft currently in Libya.
  20. I have a soft spot for this guy who I recall from the TV comedy in the UK called 'Please Sir'....Often played a bumbling policeman..... Deryk Guyler
  21. It would be cheaper to buy a new car than to get a new MP 3 player......

  24. Yes, my experience of seeing Somchai cleaning his patch did actually involve him removing the rubbish... and throwing it back into the sea further along. Is the rubbish some clever scheme to prevent the erosion of the sand?
  25. From the rank outside the airport, I last paid 1500 baht. I think that included tolls and the 50 baht rank surcharge. It is a bit of a gamble as one week, the girl on the desk may offer the 'fixed price'... another day they try it on. Generally the meter is turned off. My information may be dated as the last 3 or 4 trips I have booked Toom for 1200 baht.
