The rules for non-residency these days are nigh on impossible. You really have to sever all ties, down to bank accounts. They are very quick to deem you non-resident for National Health services though. Whilst working overseas I have made some effort to ensure I still qualify for a full pension, but more recently they seem to deliberately be obtuse. I wish I had put the payments into the bank rather than the black hole known as the IRS.

The 350 baht fare is Pattaya to Bangkok, and includes pick up at your Pattaya hotel and drop off at your Bangkok one. More distance, messing about getting to your Bangkok hotel, more price.

It most certainly is an option.......and good question.I think it was once a valid tax avoidance method, the perpetual traveller! I also know quite a few people who live like this, and would be able to up-and-off if needs arise. Obviously renting. My work life was like that, dragging 2 heavy bags all over the world and living in little boxes with noisy people bouncing off the corridor walls at 3am! But I don't call it living.........and I say I because I look for some more comfortable alternative to what I did for many years during a working life. Another man who tolerated a miserable marriage for 20 years in his semi may well prefer your option. I can vouch for the freedom of not having children, both the physical and financial!
