  1. I have always used tap water and don't believe it has ever caused me a problem.Clean your tongue on a TG who hasn't shaved for several days.......
  2. When I tried those dates I came up with £1836, but your actual booking dates come up with that too, so be pleased with your deal.(And for a shitty long layover on the way back!) I saw £2304 for 16thDec/14th. I had to double check whether i had selected economy......you have to avoid Friday with Qatar!
  3. Pick the easy one.....Cary Grant
  4. Seems a bit redundant........ Ask BigD about the advantages of smoking.
  5. The voltage will be lower not higher! Pay attention....
  6. Mutiny on the Bounty
  7. Hey, don't make me feel more foolish than I do already. I was one guy who logged into paypal.....
  8. You missed the quip I think....Soi7 was, fortunate that a few of the BMs contributed to his treatment as he didn't have cover.
  9. Why not PM him?
  10. A bank account here is more applicable for someone who does several trips or has extended stays. There is an initial charge for the ATM card too.You are fine with TCs if you don't mind traipsing to the exchange place every so often, then going back to the hotel to put the passport, TCs and excess cash back into the safe. Apparently TCs can be bought commission free at Lloyds if you use their card..... there have been many posts regarding buying them cheap or 'free'. The extra rate on TCs in LOS normally covers the local encashing fee (33 Baht/CHQ), hence go for bigger denomination, under £100 and you lose. Nationwide was too good to last!
  11. I bought a really nice ruby in Sri Lanka once and had it mounted. The twa$£s at the jewelers swapped the stone on me!
  12. It is not just a question of getting rid of money. In economy you are treated like sheep, and spend hours wandering around terminals trying to find someplace to sit and kill time. When you are older, comfort and money shift in priorities. Standing in a long line to check in for an hour isn't a good start to a 20 hour journey.
  13. Lazy me....Superman.

  16. I find the volume levels a little overpowering and sometimes it is cold enough to see your breath like Central park in February!
  17. I just paid that in £ to fly Biz Class just from the UK. So price is good.....
  18. I am inclined to think the food/ drinks and entertainment for guests consumes more of it.
  19. Generally I go to Lake Mabprachan, you catch some of the guys from the villages having fun and it can be extremely interesting. There was a dance stage last time and a collection of matronly women in red dresses available for short time (dance only.. ). There is a fair set up on both sides of the lake, problem is the amount of traffic, although parking is laid on. I generally take the bike as getting down Soi Siam CC can be impossible in a car if you leave it late. You can go down Chaiyapornwithi Rd to get to the fare at the other side near Wat Nongprue. I also once enjoyed a nice Loy Krathong at the far end of Jomtiem Beach.
  20. Loved it..... Tim Robbins
