Sending postcards from Pattaya
midlifecrisis replied to benny27's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Interesting post. I have never had a problem with postcards from Pattaya or Bangkok and have sent many to countries in Europe, the USA and the Philippines. But this is an interesting topic. It reinforces my fear (for lack of a better word JK) of trusting the post for important matters. -
Accomodation required for 2nd Trip!
midlifecrisis replied to whackydre's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Whackydre, I have stayed at the Pasadena Lodge. The rooms are small but nice. The hot water control of the shower was a pain in the ass (literally) On my next trip I am staying at the Irish Rovers. Having taken many a motorbike taxi ride past Pattaya Bay Resort I will say it is out of the way on a long side soi between Soi Diana and Second Road. It is not a short walk to anywhere! I swear by LK Metro though. Mid -

"Screening Passengers By Observation Technique" (SPOT)
midlifecrisis replied to SmellyFarang's topic in Airline Discussion
I won't vote since your choices are intended to prove your point and not ask for an honest opinion. Both answers demean the government or the people doing the job or both. bye troll -

Skytrax - Best Airline Awards 2010

Thanks Bill for the update! Actually from San Jose to SFO with a door to door shuttle it is no more a hardship to get to LAX from our airport. -

Skytrax - Best Airline Awards 2010
midlifecrisis replied to CheshireTom's topic in Airline Discussion
Interesting but relative to what is available for your port of departure. EVA is the only premium economy out of SFO to my knowledge and certainly the only bird that gets me to Thailand before noon (midnight + one day). I am getting too old to suffer economy if i can avoid it and wish I could afford business class every trip. -
I like Witherspoons and Secrets but both are expensive

I agree with you. TV money is huge but we can turn off the television too.

Airports were closing in Europe last week. It isn't so much if it is coming back it is more about will it will end. The winds blow the ash this way and that. If it blows it your way the airports might close. It is not predictable.

I have always thought that sports stars make excessive amounts but so do movie stars and CEOs and the top performers of many professions - including doctors and lawyers. As far as movies and sporting events go, if we want to register a vote in disagreement with the costs of a ticket associated with these high salaries, we can stay home and watch it on cable TV in re-run status. Otherwise, if we go to the cinema or to the stadium, we have no reason to bitch! We are part of the problem! If we see it as such.

I'll be darned! That is a wakeup surprise!

The last couple of minutes were nerve racking for fans of both teams. That is what I meant.

A nail biter finish. 8 more wins to go!

I am with you Joe! I told my fellow Sharks fans at work today that if the Sharks lose game five it will go seven games and the odds would be with Detroit - even though they would be playing in San Jose. I know picoman is an unwavering fan - where are you picoman to trash my lack of faith?
