  1. It was moving too fast! But since it was foreign turf I would have to think cricket until proven otherwise! Then again, and you would know better than I, are there a lot of ex-pat Americans over there, especially those who may know me? I still close the sliding galss door at dusk unless I am out on the balcony. Whether human or beastie, one can't be too careful.
  2. That is my vague recollection too. I have a definitive picture in my mind about what was in that corner but my brain doesn't compute that now, although I think it was different. Like I said I never went to that outside bar. Strange. I think I have sort of learned to ignore that corner as it was kind of useless space to me before. It did make a nice corner to the circular driveway though. The other side is a driveway into the complex. It goes back, turns right and separates the two buildings on the Soi Diana side. On my way to that second building at dusk had a bat whiz by my head once. Clo
  3. I was just there and walked by often and didn't pay attention. I stayed at the Areca at least twice and never went to that little bar in all my trips.
  4. Stiffies in the seat pouch are not allowed? What's the statute of limitations?
  5. Saw a photo of here not long ago. Hard to believe I had a crush on her as a teen.
  6. After a couple of bouts of moderate discomfort, the following mornings I had bad gas. That is why I lean toward IBS. You bring up a great point though. At almost 68 my core is weak. It won't get much better going forward either. Having come back from overseas, I have dropped ten pounds (still want to lose 20 more) and fell more fit from all the walking, which I am keeping up at home as the weather is not so hot here (100 later this afternoon). In a couple of days it will be under 90 and I will be on two a day walks. My late doctor once told me, "Getting old ain't for sissies!" The
  7. Siam Sam is generally one of the more decent guys here. After you get past 200 posts you will have undoubtedly sorted it all out.
  8. It is what scares me about so called democracies, even mine.
  9. I heard today there is a call for a new Brexit vote with a choice for remaining in the EU. Perhaps this topic is jumping the gun. They are never going to let you out.
  10. During the ultrasound, I was required to do a lot of bearing down and the technician pushe down hard at times on the area in my abdomen where I was experiencing discomfurt. As I look back, the symptoms disappeared then and have continued to be non existent since then. I think it is likely a slow healing abdominal strain but who knows? There are a number of possible diagnoses from a hernia, to what you suggested, to IBS.
  11. I have always been rooting for this but my pessimism about the elites sabotaging this has not lessened.

  13. After training in the military I was (as were all of the trainees) granted a weeks leave and orders to report to my permanent duty station. There was a mad scramble by us all to get our shit together and make it to the airport where we were all on standby. I got a flight to El Paso to change planes for a flight to LAX to get another flight to SFO if I could get one. On boarding the flight in El Paso, a stewardess sat me down in business class. Free booze, a good meal and pockets full of those tiny alcohol bottles when I deplaned. Her bf was a marine and she took care of service men when s
  14. It struck me funny. It will stop striking me soon The Killers
  15. I think same responses July, 2017 As Yogi Berra once said, "It's deja vu all over again!" http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/topic/66486-movie-quiz-11/page-20?do=findComment&comment=1189177
  16. I doubt the latter but the former is similar to what I first thought of. I do not have a hernia per the ultrasound. I have been less symptomatic since the ultrasound and I just got back from overseas where I walked a lot and screwed a little and had almost no symptoms.
