Can only echo those sentiments, its a good place built on sound business ethics, occasionally things will go wrong although i can only think of positive experiences in the dozen or so times i have been there.

not sure where the previous poster heard it , but i heard it on radio in Australia , they were talking about a charging incident , some guy head down charging into the quarterback and how they were using the helmets as weapons. The american correspondent then mentioned that the average lifespan was something like 20 years less than normal. Dont know if theirs any actual facts but to it but it seems that their is an urban legend about it.

I see it as a different two groups a) your general everyday person , seeing someone who has just started a business having a crack and wishing him luck. youre everday group of "knockers" , doing what they do best. go and see how many "rancid" breakffeasts or other meals these same types seem to all be eating. Kiss Food is a perfect example , they probably do a 1,000 meals a day, however look at the "its unedible", i wouldnt feed my dog food from Kiss etc" comments that come from the same types of people.(not being the tasty food in Pattaya is a long way from not feeding it to a -
Hussey has a test average of about 55 his first 20 odd tests he averaged 90 and his last 30 has averaged 20 , he was very fortunate to even be in the side for the start of the ashes series , he has found a little bit of form but his spot cannot be be guaranteed for any great length. IMO their is no danger of Ponting loosing the captanicy and if he did it would go to Clarke

Yeah its getting like the early 80's , Hope Border can get a heap of runs and its rains for three days and we can force a draw. The Ashes is lost , I cant see us winning 2 tests.

Drink Wise, What Do You Normally Order?
nus01 replied to Jiklo's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Beer 70% of the time (SML) But 2-3 weeks of virtually drinking everyday i struggle to keep up the beer so , i end up switching between Vodka Soda, Vodka Lippo's or Jack & Coke. A guy put me onto Singapore Slings and a couple times every trip whilst having a swim in the hotel pool , I have a few Singapore slings. -
Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.

Baht buses will come right by the hotel doorstep and youll be 5 or so minutes to walking street, cost is 10 baht. I walk to walking street quite a bit and probably takes 30 minutes. Their is approx 20 odds bars , three GO GOS , THREE SOAPY VENUES ALL IN within 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Soi 6 is about 10 minutes walk Pattaya is very easy to navigate your not really more than 10 minutes from anywhere on a baht bus and baht buses come by every 30 seconds.

Looks a really nice place, id have no problems staying there. Where i am coming from as examples like yours above show how cheap quality accommodation is , yet crappy rooms above a noisy bay can be virtually the same price or a few dollars less. The difference between a really nice place or a dump can be $100 over 2 weeks. Most of us are here on holidays , so why wouldnt you want a little luxury in your life.

If they keep producing wickets that allow teams 2,000 runs to be scored for 20 wickets its going to be a boring 0-0 I fly to Adelaide tomorrow with about 20 mates for the Adelaide test

This sounds what were looking for, when you say short course is it all par threes. Is it a proper course, with proper greens and a golfer off a 20 handicap would be happy enough to play to fill in a few hours,? Is their a website i can have a look at?
-
Thanks for the replies , a couple of good sites for me to look up. I actually played Bangpra Golf Club which was about 60 minutes drive from memory.

What is the nearest Golf Course to Pattaya, i have played Bangphra , but thats a whole day expereince. I am looking for a course neaby that if I go to Soi 6 for a short time my mate can catch a cab play a quick 9 holes and be back at the hotel within 2 hours. Which Course is the closest, and what are the costs involved eg Taxi, green fees , club hire etc

keep your chin up mate, you done the right thing and recived a couple of backhanders for your efforts , but in the long run people that do right by their fellow man get their rewards

When you say the computer is so slow it run any of the programs, Is it a case that the virus has effected your registry and and wont allow you to open any programs? I recently had a virus that did just that. If that is the case then you can get the programs to execute by clicking Start run type command then paste the pathway of the program you want to run , eg c:\mydocuments\programfile\malwarebyte.exe or whatever the prgram is your trying to run Malwarebytes got rid of it for me, the Virus i had was VZ.EXE go to your Task manger and look at the process and see what

A bar lady and 13000 baht
nus01 replied to THE DRUNKEN DUCK's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Top stuff all round. If i lost my wallet whilst overseas id be happy if it was returned even with the money missing. If its got all the credit cards in there its an absolute recipe for disaster for the trip. -
Its my hotel of choice, have stayed there four times (last time being July this year) and will do so again when next in town. The Hotel is about 80 meters from second road, first time i have ever seen mentioned it being dangerous walking back at night. Most of the bars there seem to go pretty late always one or two still operating with the lights off well after closing time. The only rooms to avoid are the cheapies in the front for 700 baht, and the Dolphin Pool B rooms, the rooms are nice but youre at the back of the building with no views any other room you shouldn't have compla
