  1. Hi Mate, I have been in TQ2 several times and recommend it to anyone...unfortunately I shan't be around on 27th but I'll be bringing my 2 sons in in April. Have a good night!
  2. Could you include your thoughts on the wine list next time you visit a restaurant? I visited the same place about a year ago and there was a very limited choice of red available and no cold white wine so I just turned tail and left. When I go for seafood / Lobster I always check out the fridge first!!!
  3. I had spent some time looking around the Sabai Resort with the Manager there... I really liked the bungalows right at the back of the resort but they couldn't provide a guarentee that they would be open in April. I followed this up with mails which was when they offered me this deal..I think it is also a good deal because I have booked 3 rooms over a 3 week period...
  4. It doesn't just happen on this board...Last year I sat down at a machine and it was still logged on to Adultfriendfinders.com!!!!
  5. I have never stayed there before but I have booked up Sabai Wing for 3 weeks in April at 1350 Baht per room ( I have booked 3 rooms). My 'normal" hotel at Sunshine vista only has a small rooftop swimming pool and this is a big family holiday of 5 adults and 3 children so it is more important than usual. But after reading this thread I now have severe reservations about whether I have done the right thing
  6. Hi Mate, I did a tour round BMs bars at Xmas but didn't make it ito yours..where is it ? I will pop in to buy you a belated Birthday drink in 4 weeks.
  7. I have had bank accounts with Thai Farmers ( Kasikorn) for more than 10 years and I haven't had any problems with them so far. Having said that....I would like to know the name of the bank that pays the best interest to Farangs....some don't pay interest toFarang at all...
  8. Hi Jack, Nice to get another update...thanks I hope they don't finish too soon I had worked out my finance originally for the planned completion this December '07..My last time in they said September and I can still get the money together...any earlier and I am fucked!!!! Something in Thailand is actually ahead of time
  9. Hi Mate, Kamphaeng cetainly has some old ruins which I intend to go around when I am back in April. There are also waterfalls in an easy drive away. The last time we were there a wild monkey attacked us ( I have to admit that I ran away with my beer + let Mama fight it off with a stick). I am putting the family up in the Phet Hotel which has a nice bar outside with live music.. We are near Tamakluah. I don't know too much about the expats in KPPT because Mrs Bullfrog and I have been in West Africa for a couple of years + taking home trips every 3 months...However I have a very good Kiw
  10. 1. Where up country are you talking about??? 2. Is the land town centre, village with road or track access, village with no road access? 3. Does it have utilities ( water/electricity) already available or can be installed? I am building a house between Kamphaengphet and Nackon Sawan. It is village with road access and water and electricity avilable.( Water was only plumbed into the village last year. I will be back in April and maybe I will post photos and an overall cost. I can then PM you with more detailed costs if you wish... BTW this is my second house and marriage in
  11. As it is Gate's birthday I will be flash and guess in Issan Kmer.. PSP - Saysap buy Lovely Gate - Beersap pramboon
  12. Sorry for the late update...Yep I stayed there for a few days over Xmas, yep the location is still excellent and YEP! The rooms are still shit and I will never stay there again....
  13. I am also sure that he is refering to Sabai Resort. I went in there over Xmas to do a Recce for my families visit in April. I was VERY impressed with the bungalows at the back and the other swimming pools seemed OK too. Unfortunately they couldn't guarantee me at the time that the bungolows would be open in time so I booked into Sabai Wing. Anyway the contact address I used for booking either Sabai lodge or Sabi Resort is this. Sabai Lodge [sabailodge99@csloxinfo.com]
  14. I have lived and worked around Asia for 17 years and concur with all of the above statements but would like to add a couple of points. 1. Whilst living in Singapore my ex Thai wife was verbally abused and propositioned regularly by taxi drivers but she just phoned me each time and they backed off. 2. Whilst in Malaysia my Pino GF was often given the same treatment by the Indian faction of the Malay Police force. 3. Depending on where you live and work in KL, traffic at rush hour ( what an oxymoron!) can be bloody awefull and on a par with BKK when the BTS system was being built for
  15. Well it depends on what you want to get out of it and what you are willing to risk to acheive that aim. I was willing to give my life to see my wife of 8 years standing in front of the judge in Surin squirming. I acheived my aim ( obviously without getting killed - YET) with an amount of money I could afford.
  16. I did mate and have never been back since. I also think he was mentioned in another thread for having been arrested
  17. Well it has been edited out...Must of been one of my drunken wanker mails!! Anyway, I hate it when you agree with the owner or Bar Manager to watch a certain footie match on the TV...Sit there spending money for a couple of hours building up to the BIG GAME when his mate comes in and persuades him to change it so you are left wandering the streets at kick off trying to find a bar with it on. This happened to me one afternoon in Cosy Bar Soi 2 / Soi 3 years ago when I wanted to watch Thailand in the Tiger Cup...BTW good on FLB to have the final on in Dec!!!!
  18. Hi Mate, It depends on how much you want to pay and how difficult your problems are. I used Htoosi in BKK for my divorce procedings. My divorce was very involved and therefore very expensive but I would recommend them for the more difficult cases. http://www.htoosi.com/
  19. What is the name of the "Lady in Red" I am sure I recognise her from my Surin days!!
  20. I have travelled on all three airlines long haul, in both economy and business class. All cabin crew seem to have gone to the same BA school of ignorance so there is only a small difference between them but I put AF just ahead of the others...KLM is the only airline that has ever refused to serve me any more alchohol...and LH once had a fucking argument with me cos I wanted white wine with my meat dish!!!! So my conclusion is choose your airline dependent on price, airport convenience and length of any stopovers...Also check which ones are Star Alliance, this way you will have more choi
  21. Yeh..but too many gold shops for the TW to check out!!
  22. There is nothing so overated as a bad blowjob and nothing so underated as a good shit!! So I always go for a flight with a couple of hours stop over to have a good relaxing crap in a shitter with room. This is then followed by a good shower ( I always fly business) and a few free half pints of port on ice!!!
  23. If I am going to the airport I NEVER use these taxis!! They are flagged down as they enter Patts or hang around waiting for a fare. 1. There is no guarantee that even though you have paid the stall holder that they will get a taxi at the right time for your flight ( if at all). 2. There is no guarantee on the state of the driver. He could be pissed up after an overnight wait in Patts or could be tired after having just driven down from BKK also having driven all day around BKK.This has happened to me and we nearly crashed several times. 3. There is no guarantee on the state of the ca
