  1. You are probably not alone, even among the English, and perhaps it was too early to have a pun with your breakfast coffee. So for Jacko and any non English:- Maplins was the name of the holiday camp in Hi-Di-Hi. It was also the name of the English electronics shop that sold resistors etc...
  2. Gladys Pugh would have gotten you out of bed at dawn for a few star jumps in your vest before a dip in the outside pool at Maplins! EDIT - But I bet there were a few resistors in there (Geddit?)
  3. It felt colder at 5am ....Morning Campers! Hi-De-Hi !!
  4. It should say "Ask your full time carer to call....."
  5. I understand that the pollution is trapped but what is the root cause of the pollution.... Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick again??
  6. This morning the haze was obvious where I am. The Jomtien hospital and Unicca condo were both in a cloud of haze. Prior to that I would consider it a bad day if the Klang Junction had haze viewed from Pattaya Tai.... Any idea what is causing it ???
  7. Of course you are correct and probably your need is greater than mine but I enjoy checking the threads out too!! Only yesterday I followed up one picture and came across a honey farm that was new to me. I started planning my mead brew straight away but found out that it was closed. Despite this it still triggered an idea because, of course, you can buy honey anywhere!!!! There are so many other pictures that have got me out walking to new areas.! Kudos to all that post pics!! EDIT = In one of NDTVi's vids, Adam (Hammer) says that most forum members and long term residents a
  8. I thought it was Luis Suarez in a dress !!!
  9. The cat has been sneezing a lot too .... but that could just be his way of telling me to take a shower!!
  10. After the Leeds game I went outside for a coffee and I felt the air was a bit "smokey".That was at 5am...
  11. Thanks mate! We swapped quite a few PMs but I have forgotten which forum. I wish him well.
  12. Please can you stop doing this! I have no idea where it is ... but for sure I'm gonna find it and pee against the wall to leave my mark...!!
  13. Yep, I was there before you today and I agree the soi dogs were very quiet, as were the dogs on Arunothai. Probably because today is a public holiday and, lets face, it even soi dogs need a rest! I bought Prime Irish sausages there 149 baht. The same product, with different packaging, from the same supplier, is 129 baht free delivery with British shop. There was a BM called Nadia on the forums. A bloke from London called Aidan with a Thai wife from the same village as one of my wives (forgotten which wife!). If it is I wish him well.
  14. I'm lingering down in the mid 70s but I'm captaining Bamford and using bench boost cos nobody is injured (ATM!). My target for this season is to jump up to the top 50 on the first page!!
  15. I forgot to mention something else about my walk there yesterday. Take a look at your picture and you should spot a sign hanging over a first floor balcony. It is advertising rooms at around 3,000 baht a month IIRC (Do you have other photos?). OK, I'm guessing that they are unfurnished and no swimming pool etc but they look recently refurbished and are in a great location ...apart from the soi dogs lingering ...
  16. Drink a few litres of my "Lemon Tea" and you'll be singing the Honky Tonk lyrics to the Brown Sugar tune dancing Mau Lam !
  17. Oddly enough I have just been sampling my latest creation. Lemon Tea with brown sugar. It has been baking for 2 weeks now but I have decided to leave it for another week ... EDIT = I may have to drink it this weekend after all.... Bloody Thai Bank holidays !!!
  18. I walked passed there this morning but it was shuttered up. Opening hours start at 10am which is a bit late for me because I don't want to walk 45 minutes back carrying shopping in the heat. I did see a farang on a bike wearing a sexy blue cycling top ......Was it either of you..??
  19. Thanks very much for this. I now avoid Pattaya Tai and use Arunothai to cut up to Buakhao. In the past I have only ever walked up that road on the other side of that block so I will alter that route slightly and go check it out. It doesn't look well stocked at the moment so will maybe wait a while. In fact it looks quite similar to the failed British food shop in the vicinity of Nirun that closed just prior to Siamburis opening.
  20. Nope. The actual quote was "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not getting anally gangbanged in prison" . It was the Moderators at the time that had the wit to modify the original...
  21. Perhaps the bar should be changed to Le Pun ......
  22. She has certainly Spruced herself up, enough to make a Scots Pine. I don't think she is a Cherry tree but I doubt if Yew would see her on Beech road ....
  23. Send him an email at onlinesales@globaltopgroup.com. EDIT = Whoops I just noticed the dates of the posts. Sorry for my ignorant post !
