Have a bad experience did we? I prescribe Pattaya to be taken as needed.
  2. Apologies. Thought I was in a different forum.
  3. Adam, What can I say? Where to start? It was an 'experience'. Too many "What the fuck?; I DO NOT remember THAT!" moments to be healthy though. I vaguely remembered that I had been a little 'up close' with Pun, but not THAT close. And then I stood her up two nights later? I really do owe that girl a drink on her birthday in January. Don't remember the cake at all. Don't really remember Kev & Joy turrning up either. MO & Scumbag were there as well. Nope, missed that as well. A seriously messy party. See you early in January. Try and get down to the party at FLB on the 5th if you can. Thanks George
  4. Speak with the Thai embassy office in Hull
  5. They have 2 bedroom suites available at FLB rate of 2700 a night. Peak seasom is a bit more. Ib and Da run a really tight ship, you get excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

    Amen to that
  7. Residence Garden. Two bedrooms each of which has en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms separated by a living /kitchen area, so each occupant has some privacy. I stayed there for 20 nights in Oct / Nov and if you ask for the FLB rate, it'll cost you 2700 baht a night. Couldn't fault the place. Good service and the laundry always came back even though I never filled in a ticket. It's right on the baht bus route so a journey into town which takes 2-3 minutes to get to Soi 16 costs you 10 baht. Coming home in the small hours, a private hire could be had for 100 baht. Not bad for 4 people, especially when totally hammered. Girl friendly. Good Luck
  8. Loved the pictures Adam. Who was the stripper on the bar. Game girl! We didn't make it to this party unfortunately as we too busy being bored to death in Koh Samet. I know where more fun was had. Well we all mistakes,; it's just that some of us make more than others George So sparkydaves party pics. When are they going to be posted?
  9. I was told by the Thai embassy in London that you can only get an extension if you actually have a visa. I don't know where unziped is flying in from, but from the UK you get a 30 day visa exemption, and there is no way you can get a visa from within Thailand (This is illegal). If you have a 30 day visa rather than a visa exemption, it will only be extended by up to 10 days max. A 60 day visa can be obtained from the Embassy in your home country. The date of entry must be within 3 months from the date of the application. An alternative if you are on a visa exemption, is to do a 'visa run' where you leave Thailand for the day (Day trip to Cambodia) and then when you return you get another 30 day exemption. Hope this all makes sense and assists you in your choice of what to do. (I'm going to the embassy to get a 60 day visa) George
  10. Martin, I was fully aware of the policy and I have no complaint or issue over this. I chose to pay barfine for the evening and it was completely 'up to me' I think that many of us were quite surprised about that. It had been mentioned several nights prior to the event that it should be a good night and an entertaining party, so I was expecting the place to 'liven up' after the prizegiving. I'm sure that we will have a good turnout and that there will be copius amounts of alcohol consumed (Judges names still to be decided) Now, about that barfine policy for hostesses, As long as I pay barfine for a hostess at least one day in advance of my party, then it will be 400 baht? And as she is barfined, she will not be required to participate in the dance competition?
  11. Oh no! Did someone get the hump about a post that mentioned a bar run by Alex (Mulphy) called the Rockhouse that's located in Soi LK Metro? The place that has 3 letting rooms that are well priced and so popular that they are booked up for months in advance? Have I got the right place? God, don't you just hate the plugs for this place.
  12. From FLB, cut through the Beer bar complex and head up Soi VC I think its called to 2nd Road. Cross the road and get a baht bus. We stayed at the RG last time and all the busses go past there and on to Jomtein. 20 baht is the fare to Jomtein I believe.
  13. Doggie, With respect, if that's what you think makes a party, then you really need to get out more. Because the event was advertised as a party, I had to pay triple (1500 baht!) barfine for the evening as long term barfine rules do not apply to Red Badge. Having paid this, I thought that I would at least have a fun evening. How wrong I was. There was no fun. There were no dancing girls and the band didn't play during the whole long and tedious prizegiving ceremony. Just look at the 'party' pictures. Everyone is extremely sober and there's hardly a hostess to be seen. Most of the guys were on draft beer and they weren't buying lady drinks, so the girls just disappeared off. It was a really Cheap Charlie performance. The most merriment I witnessed the whole night was two guys high fiving each other over some stupid prize. Please do everyone a favour and do not advertise the event as a party next year. George
  14. Could it be LK instead of PK?
  15. That is awesome. I wanna job as Security Guard!.
  16. Or at least when you do make them , you know you're not the first to have done it. Pah! (Chris Tarrant, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire")
  17. The hard rock sign just confuses the hell out of me. Who the hell did they pay for a translation to be done? And what was the original meaning supposed to be?
  18. Thanks for sharing Adam. Everyone seems to have had a really great time and Pat looked real good. I didn't make it that night due to the fact that I was still feeling a little hungover from the excesses of the Soi 7 crawl the night before. (So we started at FLB at 19:00 and I think we left the Cherry Bar at around 03:30) The only problem that I have now is that you are getting ever closer to publishing the 11th November party pics. I have no pics at all for that day and I am getting slightly apprehensive about seeing what the hell I really got up to that night. Oh what the hell; publish and be damned. George
  19. 1. The beautiful women 2. The great drinking joints 3. The prices of most things (Well the important things at any rate) 4. The baht bus 5. Stealing the staff from FLB
  20. Careful Alex, Nicely moved to a self promotion plug but the thread is "The Lord Nelson"
  21. Aha, is this you then in the yellow top then? Man, he looks miserable.
  22. Sparkydave, How are you doing? Are the bastards still getting you to work at night instead of shagging Porn? You left the FLB early on my last night in town and within five minutes of you leaving, Yok was in the staff room getting changed and was back on duty with green badge prominently displayed. I did wonder whether I should tell her that as it was my last night, you had paid and left her for me as a leaving present. (Me? Cheap Charlie?) What a bummer though! You'd paid BF the night before and spent a fortune (as did I) getting her pissed, you then paid a tip for a service that you didn't get and to really rub salt in the wounds you had to work all night. When are your TRs going to get posted. I'm up to Day 18 now. That crazy dice game 'quiet' night was Day 23. We are going to have our asses kicked over that night and what we did, but it was extremely funny. How did we manage to devise a game with rules like that? If you win, you lose big time and if a neutral wins you lose 50% of the time? Awesome! Only in Pattaya I guess.
  23. Mikes Shopping Mall on 2nd road. Take your life in your hands and cross 2nd Road. Walk down LK Metro past the Beefeater on your right, past Papagayo on your right, past the Beer Bar complex which includes Nid Bar on your right and past the Areca Lodge on your right. There is a new precinct on the left with Lolitas and The Rockhouse. If you get as far as the VW camper van bar parked in front of the LK Metropole on your left, then you have gone too far. I found that a number of people didn't know the LK complex very well and even taxis were dropping me off in the wrong part. I couldn't determine whether to call it LK Metro or Soi Diana. No doubt someone will answer at put the record straight. Hope this helps!
