Ashley had a habit of making false promises. As a Pattaya developer, at least they have managed to complete a few projects and their customers seem to be satisfied with the quality provided for the price.

The restaurant that you show (Chill & Pepper) by TukCom was only actually open for trade for 2 or 3 weeks I recall.

I've just ordered some PC cards on Ebay where they ship from either HK or China. Will keep you posted if anything actually arrives.

Daiquiri Hous The place is clean and bright and fitted out very well with good seating, air-con and sound system. I've called in a few times in the past month, but it's been very quiet with the exception of a few guys that have just walked in to use the toilet and left again. If you're not a fan of Soi 8 style music at Soi 8 levels, then it may not suit you after 8pm, however before then you can select your own from the wide selection on their Media Player once you've prised the girls away from playing Solitaire. I do feel that they are going to struggle to be profitable in their location. As Hammer found out, people don't just wander down that Soi by chance, but good luck all the same.

I remember looking at this airline once before just before they got banned from Europe. They were flying out of Manchester I believe at the time. I looked at several 'alternative' routes and ended up doing Aeroflot via Moscow which turned out to be an 'interesting' journey including being locked in an airport hotel with an armed guard in the corridor when we missed the connecting flight on the return leg.

The restaurant is large and often seems to be almost deserted, however last Friday night there were 6 coaches parked outside and the place was extremely busy.

Visited as Blue Lagoon and then the 'improved' version Wet 'N' Wild. As said by many, not a great surprise, however we were well treated by LVP when one of the crawls paid a visit.

The BiB raided BP2 (now simply BP as BP1 has been closed) after capturing video of a falang 'messing about' with a girl in the pool (no shit!). The owner and the falang were taken into custody and the rest of the falangs 'mates' simply scarpered. Several versions abound about the exact details from here, but the owner basically took the rap for everything and the falang was released without any charge. A fine was levied on theowner and it's rumoured to have been a heavy one (400,000 baht), however the owner stated that he would be back open for business in the New Year and hoped that it would be as soon as 5th January. On a side note, La Guinguette was also raided on Christmas Eve and it has been reported to me that several of the girls (not of Thai nationality) were removed from the premises.

Popped in fo a quick drink after work last night and there were 5 girls there along with the manager John. ( John is not exactly a genial host though, as during my stay of just over an hour, all he did was play games on the computer and a game of pool without even acknowledging that he had a customer in the place.) The girls there do not have very good English skills, so don't expect too much in the way of conversation, but the girl on the right in the picture above is very pleasing to look at and just sit with, so it was still quite a pleasant time. I don't know what the situation in this bar is regarding barfine rates and whether there is a ST room available, so could I ask suffolkcouple to provide this information? (For reference a Beer Chang is 55 baht and a ladydrink cost me 80 baht.)

I was there also last night and I have to admit it was a disappointmernt. The food took an age to arrive (over 1 hour), and was cold (and got even colder waiting for the gravy to arrive). The table talked about in the previous post did provide some relief as the service they received was like something lifted striaght from Fawly Towers. A table of 8 and after more than one hour 2 burgers arrived. 20 minutes later an order of fish and chips appeared and then later the remaining meals arrived (By this stage the first people had already finished their meals).

I took a quick look at the revamped Soi 8 unit two nights ago and whilst there is still some work to be done, the basic bar structure is in place and there are a couple of units already open for business. The area at the front of the bar is quite reduced in size now, but overall it looks okay.

An alternative to a party in a bar, is to arrange a penthouse apartment with a private rooftop jacuzzi; plenty of girls barfined for the night; a few mates and plenty of booze. It was done by a BM called Luvtomuff on another board and was by all accounts a 'very' good night.

I was in Banana Bar just 10 days ago and it was sold 3 days later Still, it's good to see a profit being turned on the deal and I'll be along to see you at your new place soon. Good luck to you and yours in the new venture. (Will the lovely Aoa continue working for you?)

I've been there 3 times and found there to be plenty of girls on the first two visits and very quiet the last time. However, that's much the same as any establishment in Pattaya. They all have good nights and quiet nights. I'd say the place is well worth a visit if you just want to sit, have a few beers and a chat with other patrons (girls or fellow BMs). It's also a good location to meet up as there is no pressure in to buying drinks for ladies whilst you are waiting for your mates to turn up. I still find it strange meeting up with so many service staff that I have met in other places though.

And it's well worth a visit !!! (Especially if you like to eat peeled bananas served at body temperature :clap2 )

Many of the private rentals are for 6 month minimum term, however there are places available on short term lets, but not so many at the budget being quoted. If however, you are looking for an alternative to a hotel and looking for serviced accomodation, then there are some lovely places in the 25k - 40k per month budget. Pete, I popped in for a quick drink yesterday afternoon which ended up as a five hour stay drinking with another BM I was very pleasantly surprised by the number of freelancers that turned up during the afternoon. A very pleasant way to while away an afternoon / early evening. The place is 'HUGE' and is finished to a high quality not seen in many of the Pattaya establishments. CONGRATULATIONS! - A winner

Tonight is the last night that Cherry Bar is open until the refurbishments of the complex are completed, so I'll be along to say "Hi" to anyone that's about tonight. (I also need to cash in the few "LD" vouchers that I have from the past couple of weeks." It would be great to see a good number of the BMs that are in town tonight (even if only for a short visit). If you want to do a simple resize or change in quality, then I'd recommend Image Magick. It's a command line image management tool, but it's quite simple to use. To resize pictures, simply use the the following syntax convert filename -resize xsizeXysize newfilename ( convert 1.jpg -resize 640x480 1_resized.jpg) There is also the 'mogrify' command to apply to many images at one time. I take a copy of the images and apply the following command (mogrify -resize 640x480 -quality 65% -strip *.jpg)
