  1. Maybe you guys go to a Pattaya in an alternate universe But theres many Brit Bar owners / managers who supply boxes n boxes of the stuff
  2. At a rough estimate how many automatic tickets do you need to get before you find one that leads you to a Fortuner?
  3. Fortuna Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya 1500THB or 1800THB (Your site lists two prices)?
  4. Is that some kind of German cheap Charlie
  5. Its determined by the surgeon whether to inject or not Mine told be he can tell by your reactions to examination etc if the more 'extreme' course of injecting needed Otherwise its just the protracted series of drops prior to the proceedure
  6. Super-sight is the buzz word phrase for multifocal replacement lenses These may not be for you as they take much more assimilation than the normal monofocal ones. They were explained to me as a 'stepped' lens (think of multi rings like a fingerprint) giving alternately long distance/near distance results, the brain has to 'learn' to decipher these inputs into a single image. There are many types of lenses available and it pays to research first That said I had both eyes done in the one session some years ago in Pattaya (monofocals) and yes it was like switching to HD ...shoulda done it earlier '
  7. Seen that place many times (zipping past my left shoulder on the motorway to Bangkok) TBH it looks good and though I keep making a mental note to look it up every time I see it - Alzheimer's always has these plans elude me :) (doesn't look as cutsie as the one in HuayYai which is only a quick blat down Railway Road away)
  8. I'm mindful of that old quote: "Kissing don't last; cookery do"
  9. Ive watched this place get built from the ground up and it was intriguing being as it was, made entirely of timber and built around existing trees as the structural support! An amazing huge balcony appeared and eventually a plethora of lights. Now low and behold its a most unusual Thai Restaurant. Managed to make the first of many future trips here this evening. After dusk it develops a more 'fairy tale' ambiance. It's well thought out with multi levels ,and sizeable carpark accessed via a 'drive through', Thai wooden 'hammocks' (for over indulgers), and many rather grand water features. Live music and a huge balcony. This is a great way to have a change from the usual local eateries on offer, and of course a great 'brownie point' scorer with the tirak too. Food is an eclectic selection (including frog, crocodile, bird, deer)and quite inexpensive our four dishes , two plates of rice and soft drinks came to just over 500 baht. I'll let the pictures do the talking and finish with directions at the end of the post: If you fancy giving it a try its on Huay Yai Road thats the first traffic lights after the Floating Market on Sukhumvit going south. Turn left onto Huay yai Road go over the railway lines and past the market on the left the restaurant is then a further 100 yards on the left. Alternatively if its easier for you just go south on the railway road, keep going until you run out of railway road and turn left, on past the market , restaurant is a further 100yards on the left hand side. Enjoy .
  10. Just a quick +1 for lanzalad and his boxes Picked one up from him last night Simple PnP device Fully loaded and ready to use Needs only LAN cable connexion to router or a click on settings and choose the wifi network and input password Thats it !! BTW comes with an extra remote which is like the 'magic' remote for my LG smart TV (cursor moves around the screen with movement of the remote) which is another plus So if you want more TV proggies and movies than you can shake a stick at, with no techie stuff or buggerin about these should be right up your street (if you can drive your Android phone, you can easily navigate this device) Got up this morning had it connected ect in minutes, a couple of documentaries and 'volley fire by ranks' at Rourkes Drift before breakfast .
  11. Exactomundo Without researching I was simply following the spirit of the legislation which is simply copying USA introduced bans from all those years ago. The credo is to protect employees' work environment. So if no one else is impacted then he should be outside the interests of this legislation seems that he could be (maybe his employers like him so much they kept the helping hand in their pocket :) ) .
  12. What if his employers gave him the van for his explicit sole use and their permission for him to smoke in it?
  13. Job House Vehicles Income through bank account Oz sponsor All these boxes ticked then as above use visa agency (and wear your trousers with the deepest pockets )
  14. generally have to pay for the exit
  15. Looks a story higher than a lot of condos bought into in Pattaya :) (and it could be company bought) .
  16. Streaming Netflix with it without a hitch Big thumbs up
  17. Look at a lot of undeveloped scraps of land too that where once the dreams of wide eyed 'off plan' buyers
  18. Well if you're daft enough to buy imaginary condos what's the point of bothering with imaginary details
  19. ....and probably buying in quantities waaaaay bigger than any 'personal' needs
  20. +1 Get the Thai account all then give 20K (some a bit more) per squirt up to a daily limit of a couple of hundred thousand .
  21. But don't you need a Judge to send you there
  22. Yup it's what they do (been there , done that & no way around it)
  23. Forget it you're obviously over qualified
