  1. I can echo what MM said You can ameliorate the fees by using better accounts in the UK Halifax for the Swift Transfer and Lloyds TSB for the TCs But if Im reading the OP correctly and the transfer value is £1.5K seriously put the folding in your pocket, chop it up on arrival in Patts (independent money changers) and put it in the Kasikorn for safety/convenience .

Was shown all the latest deals and changed over to a 6meg package there and then for about 200 baht per month LESS MORE for LESS in Thailand !!! shuuuurely it cant be so .

  6. I think he'll be too busy having his kissed by Thai authorities to worry about that .
  7. Money grubbing Thai politicos that's who....hence the action against copy goods over the years. .
  8. Just another symptom of Pattaya succumbing to the mores and pressures from the West And all the usual 'so long as theres a soi 6' blah blahs from turkeys looking forward to Christmas only serve to detract from the inevitable .
  9. ICU is about that, and frankly is an expensive item in any Pattaya hospital. Have a sit down with the consultant concerned and find out the reasons for ICU and the projected stay there (take notes) you can the go speak to the other Patts hospital providers and see if they concur. Think long and hard before you ship him out of Pattaya ICU up the road to Sriracha hospital on financial grounds, I know from personal experience that that equates basically to euthanasia by another name . .
  10. UK Open a Lloyds TSB current account...you can then get as many £200 travellers cheques as you want or can afford with ZERO commission/fees
  11. Correct - why bother to run them if there's a prospect of some dickhead signing up to give you more than you could possibly make. .
  12. I doubt guys with that much to launder would fall for this - people of any persuasion (criminal or legit) with vast amounts of disposable cash are by nature way beyond this level of stupidity . .
  13. Even if you're a stray dog (For darling Tony has even fukked these over ) .
  14. Needless to say this is de rigueur at King Power too .
  15. Oh there are A bit out of the way for the usual pedestrian holidayer but they're there But devoid of any 'sat wai nahm' .
  16. Motels Never encountered a Thai Motel with a pool (they're all short time drive in gaffs) .
  17. Anyone notice how much quicker things are when the lights are broken and sans brown shirted interference?
  18. Lunch today at the (new-ish) Vientiane Restaurant in Soi Nern Plab Wan Very pleasant vast wooden sala affair with masses of seating. Being afternoon was pretty quiet so seating out overlooking the big lotus lake was readily available. Food and service (including the whistle blowing and mad dash with sizzling hotplates) as to be expected with restaurants of this name. All in all very enjoyable and will be back .
  19. Most people on the planet are stupid Is that any criteria to join them .
  20. apples & oranges thats just a bullshit emporium for fleecing wide eyed dopey tourists
  21. TFFT Thought I was posting with invisible ink +1 for the seafront loungers (takes gluttony to new levels ) .
  22. Probably further than you thought Straight through Nakleua from Dolphin roundabout, past the weekly market on the left , straight on through the Traffic Lights where you'd turn right for Bang Lamung Post Office, and straight on till the road splits with a tree in the middle and the seafood market on the left....straight on still (now you have the sea on your left), when the road vias right to go on to Sukhumvit (guess what) you dont, you go straight on...not much further theres a double car park on the right - Moom Aroy on the left The full Dolphin roundabout to restaurant: .
