  1. One has to wonder Tom, how much the two teams playing in the final, contribute to the actual amount made. Man.U and Barca' was a dream come true, for the FA and EUAFA. Worldwide appeal to a HUGE audience. I wonder if a Turkish and Croatian teams would have drag in as much dosh ? With any luck it will be an English team in 2014, to give you somebody to support- the opposition !
  2. I thought Harry was a bit cheeky, going between Southampton and Portsmouth, but this is as good. Only just getting an equaliser against Brentford in the 92nd minute of the Carling cup, then winning on penalties, after advise from the Everton goalkeeping coach, about our style of penalty, was the downfall of the wee Jockie.
  3. Come off it atlas, apologizing to joe for having a go at the English is like saying sorry to Adolf, for shooting down his Dorniers over London. Let me remind you of a recent quote from joeK 09 June 2011 " Not to say there a zillion un-PC cruel jokes about the Englisschers. Fair game in my books. " Now, I expect and am used to this, from the Scots, Irish, Welsh and a few others and I can understand the reason behind it. I accept it as how we are in the U.K. With joe, it is like watching two blokes walk down the street, both bumping into things. One has a white stick and dark
  4. Now this is an anti (English)FA response I can understand- from a Scotsman. Expected and welcomed, as par for the course - joe take note ! Bud' was the official 'beer' of the last World Cup too. Remember those fit birds in the crowd, wearing orange outfits at a W.C game, to advertise a competitors ale ? Great tactic ! I assume the decision went Wembleys way then? Platini, must have choked on the words. Don't worry Tom, no slight to Hampden, but the FA made a £1m from the last game and EUAFA loads more. Most expensive ticket to final in Rome 2009 was £125. For the Wembley bas
  5. Like i said before joe- Ann Frank and a drum kit. Yes the FA may be corrupt, I have no time for any sports ruling bodies - F.A /M.C.C/Jockey Club/L.T.A/Wimbledon Tennis..... all a bunch of blazers and ties. But the fact that this has swung from pointing out the shortcomings of FIFA to the shortcomings of the FA, comes from your chance to 'have a go' at anything English. Had it been anyone else, I would probably not have remarked about it. You don't do casting for Hollywood films, do you ? It is fortunate or unfortunate that it is just 'The FA' not 'The English FA' to give
  6. Well joe, Brentford have little money and a new German manager. He seems determined to make himself a name in English football by doing well for us. He won't have a lot of money, so may be the proof of your pudding. I'll let you know about Christmas.
  7. Not Swansea I hope. I have great hopes of Brentford going up to the Championship, next season.
  8. My opinion of the Fa is as low as anyone's. However they did at least make a stand, while the majority just meekly went along with Blatter. I do give them credit for that. They also brought pressure to bear on the crooked FIFA system, the outcome of which is still to be seen- but it will. You have to give credit where it's due. I still maintain you are Anglophobic and I don't think I am alone. If I was not English, it probably would not have come to my attention, but I am if nothing else, observant. To criticize a race once or twice is par for the course, but with you it's at
  9. Can't resist it can you joe ? Any excuse to have a go at the English. Any form any subject any time, or is it my imagination ?
  10. It would be great, if before each season, the clubs had to announce their war chest available for buying new players. It would help predictions for the end of season placings. That is as big factor as the Manager, owner, present players- in short, money decides who does well in this caper. QPR are an example of what a few bob can do for you. It will last as long as the owner wants it to. Pull the plug and down the Kermit they go.
  11. didn't you leave the word 'lose' off the end of the last line ?
  12. Could do with some of that rain in S.E England, driest Spring for donkeys years.
  13. so,no bets on him getting a job as Entertainments Officer, or stand up comedian then ? He is one miserable little Ging-er.
  14. The English have always been a supporter of the 'under dog'. In Hounslow all I see is Asian and other kids with Liverpool- Man.U, Arsenal, Chelsea...... Team shirts. Yet the amount of them attending a a game at Brentford is minimal. The downside of this for them, is they will never get that feeling we got last September, beating Everton on our own park. That was our comparative European Final. We get to Wembley once every 10 years, so that too is extra, extra special when we do. It's like being married to frigid wife, you may not get sex as often as you would like, but
  15. Butch is Brentford bound !
  16. The FA, will have to get used to being the Millwall of FIFA. What is it the Millwall fans sing ? " No one likes us - we don't care ! "
  17. Not unlike the England team, every time they qualify for a World/European Cup ? Every goal they score, sends a groan around three parts of these islands and cheers in only one
  18. I've been on about this caper since Dec' last year mate. FIFA is just another level of politics that basically runs itself. A crooked top man will get votes from other crooks, knowing he will sanction their backhanders, free trips, high expenses...... If Blatter was serious about cleaning up FIFA's act, he would have promoted the American whistle blower, not allowed him to be sacked. The rot continues. Perhaps e- mails to sponsors, Emirates Visa from enough disgruntled customers ?? Our Government minister for sport has already said it is no business of the government to
  19. One newspaper, had headline that Emirates and Visa are not happy with the image of FIFA. If they pull out, £1.5bn off the budget. Oh please - please !
  20. Any way tom, you have to admit, this time, this wee man, was spot on with his analysis of that voting farce back in December. That's the trouble with being good sports and playing with a straight bat. it's outdated in the world of football now. Bring back the good old Home Championships where the other teams can kick the shit out of the English for 90 minutes ! We knew where we were with that. Ooo - are -ya ? Ooo are Ya ?
  21. Even more disappointing for the European teams Man.U. beat, to get to the final ?
  22. Adolf, Sadam, Bladd the Impaler..... they'll do too !
  23. Win or lose. A game at Wembley is a bit special. My son couldn't believe how small it feels inside the stadium. I know the disappointment of a loss there, but we have had losses onless enjoyable occasions. Stay in the Championship and we might win a few more games and be playing you at Griffin Park. I did say might.
  24. For Tom's info' The Scottish FA are joining England's (the) FA, to get this election of Seppy boy postponed. So it's not just the English who are thinking like me.
