Two nations divided by a common language.
Code Monkey replied to Eric_Olthwaite's topic in Idle Chit Chat
I quite fancy a fag right now .....I'm allowed to say that - I was raised in England! -
Don't want to state the obvious but if you have the phone number of the hotel, then why don't you either make a reservation by phone or call them and ask them for the email address??

Loy Krathong -- BKK or Pattaya?
Code Monkey replied to Mescalito's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I've only celebrated Loi Krathong in Pattaya and will do so again this year. It's a beautiful festival and a lot of the locals adorn traditional costumes adding enormously to the atmosphere. Whether you are in Bangkok or Pattaya, you are sure to have a great time. -
I think all air hostesses should be drunk! One way to make the long flights interesting!

I'll have to remember to log on once I'm there....I may not be able to post any pics until I get back though. One more day to go! [smiley=grins-jump.gif]

I'll be staying there from the 8th onwards ;D and I'll let you know after that if no-one else responds.

Ok, the shared taxi to Pattaya has been arranged for the 8th. I'm still hoping that there's going to be a member on the same flight from Sydney to Bangkok on Thurday 6th November....anyone?...anyone?.... ???

The most comfortable rooms in Pattaya
Code Monkey replied to mrstein's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I remember reading your review and almost considered not staying at the Areca Lodge but then nearly every hotel I contacted was booked (Dec 20th - 29th 2002). Areca Lodge was one of the few who could accomodate so I had little choice. Turns out it was a great choice! As for the robbery, his box was the only one robbed? I agree, stupid to have so much cash sitting in the box. [smiley=shame.gif] I guess that's why they only allow one escorted guest in at a time ::) -
Hi SteadieEddie, I'm staying at the Majestic Suites which is very close to the Nana - in fact just around the corner from the traffic lights. Send me an IM and we can exchange details.

The most comfortable rooms in Pattaya
Code Monkey replied to mrstein's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Not where I come from. The bed sizes in ascending order are single, double, queen and king. I haven't heard about the safe deposit boxes being robbed at the Areca. What I liked about the safe deposit boxes was that they are in a separate room next to the reception desk and they only allow one person in at a time escorted by the receptionist. You're dead right about crossing Second Rd though. You have to take your life in your hands each time! ::) -
I arrive in Bangkok around 10:30pm on Thursday 6th November and will be travelling to Pattaya around noonish on Saturday 8th November. Anyone else want to share a taxi? This is a long shot, but is anyone else travelling from Sydney to Bangkok on the BA10 flight on Thursday 6th November?

Late arrival Hotel question
Code Monkey replied to aniteowl's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
anitowl, I arrive the same day around 10:30pm but I will be staying in Bangkok (Majestic Suites) until Saturday. Have you considered spending the first night in Bangkok and having a little fun instead of going directly to Pattaya? Last trip I stayed at the Areca Lodge and the deluxe rooms sound just right for what you are looking for. I'll be staying at the Penthouse whilst in Pattaya this time though because I want to experience the 'porn factor' and because it's right slap bang in the middle of eveything! ;D Otherwise I would have no hesitation in staying there again. The most comfortable rooms in Pattaya
Code Monkey replied to mrstein's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I found the Delux rooms at the Areca Lodge to be very comfortable but the bed was Queen size... I'll be staying at the Penthouse in a few days time and they have King size lifted beds...will let you guys know when I return ;D The only place I've seen 'King size plus' is in the Party room at Edens....you could easily have 15 girls on the bed and still have elbow room! ;D ;D -
Now that'd really be pushing your luck!! ;D

John, I think some people found it was getting a bit ridiculous and a bit annoying having too many members with large gifs that made reading the posts difficult. The other reason could be that these members posting in the 'Open to Everyone' section defeats the purpose of not talking about the bar girls when you have naked girls as a signature. What you could do is use the kangaroo as your avatar instead of having it as a signature.

There's a small bit here... http://www.freelancerbar.com/cgi-bin/yabb/...;num=1061060226 I stayed at the Areca in December last year. I thought that it was a great hotel and they are guest friendly. The room I had was the double deluxe room that had a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The room was large and tastefully decorated. It had a large tv with good reception and plenty of sockets (unlike the Flipper Lodge). The bathroom was also large and very clean and had a tub with a shower. Very good water pressure! They don't have in-room safes but they do provide boxes in a locked

new visa fee ;500 baht now 700 ?
Code Monkey replied to aj's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
So true! -
My previous trips to Thailand have all been short ones but I still spent the first and last day or so in Bangkok. The next trip in November will be for 23 days! ;D ;D ;D I'm spending the first 2 days and the last 6 days in Bangkok ;D as I feel that I still have a lot to learn about what to do in Bangkok. If this is your first trip, then I suggest that you spend the first two days in Bangkok to see whether you like it or not. Both have lots to offer but what suits one person may not suit the other. ::) Everyone has their own opinion but the only way to know for sure is to find out for your

new visa fee ;500 baht now 700 ?
Code Monkey replied to aj's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I must be the paranoid one as I put away 3000baht in the passport after arrival. 500 for the tax, 1000 for the taxi, tip and snacks and beer at the airport while I wait. The other 1500 is in case of emergencies during my stay. Then just before I have to through to the departure lounge, I change the rest of the baht left. I wish I had kept some baht now so I can just leave the airport as soon as I collect my bags instead of joining the line at the exchange booths. ::) -
Hi Iwan, Your best bet is to go to the FLB and meet a few members who will show you around. Try to make one of the meetings and get introduced to the other perverts! Watch what they do and do the opposite! ;D I'm afraid that this is going to involve walking down Walking Street and your eyes will wander and you may be tempted to pop in (or be dragged in) to a few bars as you walk towards the FLB! I'll be there from 6th - 29th November. Pattaya 8th - 23rd November. 21 days & 12 hours to go! Hopefully see you there, if not, have a fun and safe trip!

Sounds a bit funny. ::) What is the problem with the girls and reception? ??? The girls and reception are well used to butterflies as it is so common. Is there something to hide? ;D
