Great idea having the small bar area Pete. I've not been to your place as yet but it did pass through my mind, with the size of the place, that things may become a "little distant" regarding rubbing shoulders with others. The liaison lady also an excellent idea, an ice breaker for those like me possibly a little shy to make an approach The pictures of the ladies are very nice .Thanks. See you all soon ! -
The best Little Johnnie joke Little Johnnie's neighbour had a baby. Unfortunately, the baby was born without ears. When mother and new baby came home from the hospital, Johnnie's family was invited over to see the baby. Before they left their house, Little Johnnie's dad had a talk with him and explained that the baby had no ears. His dad also told him that if he so much mentioned anything about the baby's missing ears or even said the word ears, he would get the smacking of his life when they came back home. Little Johnnie told his dad he understood completely. When Johnnie looked in the crib he said, 'What a beautiful baby.' The mother said, 'Why, thank you, Little Johnnie.' Johnnie said, 'He has beautiful little feet and beautiful little hands, a cute little nose and really beautiful eyes. Can he see?' 'Yes', the mother replied, 'we are so thankful; the Doctor said he will have 20/20 vision.' 'That's great', said Little Johnnie,'cuz he'd be fucked if he needed glasses'. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are you a PC? One day a Jew, a Hindu, and a Geordie all arrived at their hotel to find that there had been a mix-up with the bookings, and that there was only one room left for them to share. The manager explained that this room only had two beds, but that there was a barn at a neighbouring farm which the farmer, an old friend of his, would let one of them sleep in free of charge. They complained a bit, but since there was nowhere else to go, the Jew graciously said he'd sleep in the barn. The Hindu and the Geordie were just settling down to sleep in their room, when there was a knock on the door. It was the Jew. 'I'm sorry,' he said, 'but there's a pig in that barn and because I'm Jewish I feel uncomfortable about sharing the barn with it.' 'No problem,' said the Hindu. 'I'll sleep out there instead.' So off he went to the barn, leaving the Geordie and the Jew to share the room. They were just settling down to sleep, when there was a knock on the door. It was the Hindu. 'I'm sorry,' he said, 'but there's a cow in that barn and because I'm a Hindu I feel uncomfortable about sharing the barn with it.' The Geordie grudgingly agreed to give up his bed and stomped off to the barn leaving the Jew and the Hindu to share the room. The Jew and the Hindu were just settling down to sleep, when there was a knock on the door. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > It was the cow and the pig.

How much does it cost for a flight from London to Bangkok
N3RGT replied to stewieg's topic in Airline Discussion
Also google Airline Network and WestEast Travel. At the moment non direct flights LHR-BKK are available from around £460 and the cheapest direct flight I can see in Jan/Feb is with EVA AIR at £532. Good Luck -

Quote jacko "I have been very ill twice from a certain well known brand of beer too!" Does it begin with an "S" and end with an "A" by any chance ? -

Safe to eat from the street carts
N3RGT replied to munibung's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
In the past I had really enjoyed eating from the street carts, especially taking a few assorted skewers of meat back to the "Loom" with lady; However I will be much more careful this next upcoming trip. We used to regularly stop off at a particular cart in Soi Marine on the way back to the hotel but towards the end of my last trip in Feb last year I caught a really bad dose of the shits. I had brought with me some immodium but that had almost no effect. So on the flight back home I ended up having to get up to go to the bog just about every half hour or so which got to be a bit fuckin' embarrassing, especially when you get a centre seat ! Went to see the doc back home, giving a sample and a few days later got a letter from my District Council Offices telling me I had contacted Salmonella poisoning, most likely from eating food contaminated by faecal matter. Lovely ! So that's why it's called a Notifiable Disease ! I then discovered that there is not a lot that can be done to counter all the nausea that goes along with the symptomns other than sound advice as to what food to eat etc etc, and to ensure that you don't get dehydrated. My doctor then prescribed some Codiene Phosphate which then solidified things up significantly. This Salmonella Poisoning took me the best part of 10-12 weeks to shake off and was probably one of the most unpleasant experiences of sickness in my whole life. I will certainly be much more careful in selecting street food stalls next time around, and yes I know it's a bloody lottery, but for sure I will always carry some Codiene Phosphate with me from now on which certainly helped getting over the more outward embarrassing signs of this the sickness. Just my experience for what it's worth -
Christmas at the Pattaya Beer Garden

Pete, I'll certainly be sampling some of your fare very soon. Also hope there are a good many freelancers around too -
Many thanks to all who gave replies to my enquiry, even the "swiss rolls" merchant Not one detrimental remark ! Indeed there does not seem to be one bad aspect of this establishment, and I'll certainly be giving it a try very soon. Still can't quite figure how I've not actually noticed it before, but as somebody remarked earlier it is being encroached by the Pattaya Nightlife. The steaks look very good

"QUOTE(joekicker @ Jan 3 2009, 01:02 PM) Sigh. Why did you read this thread? Was it perhaps the attractive TITLE OF THE THREAD that caught your eye?" "What the Hey Thai Learner, don't let that sort of sarcasm worry you. There are some pretty aggresive and unsympathetic people active on this board, who, at every opportunity seem determined to let all and sundry know that they don't suffer fools gladly. Some, even, at the slightest excuse, will take pleasure in pouncing on innocent or blameless remarks others had made, where a more gracious, unsullied response would be far more desireable. Just keep on supporting the CITY

To all those of you who need a break June 30th 2009 - Canoe Trip I am planning a trip for June 30, 2009 to the home of one of the earliest Indian settlements. The excursion will consist of a bus trip to the Cherokee Nation, and a guided tour along the river which runs through it. Cost of the river trip is $2,629.00 Per Person which includes food. If you'd like to go too, book early, as I anticipate space will be extremely limited. We'll do some sightseeing, wildlife photography and that sort of thing.. The highlight of the trip will be the river tour with white water rapids. What makes the trip especially meaningful is that our river guide is a full-blooded Cherokee; born and raised in the area, and extremely knowledgeable of the territory and any obstacles we may encounter on our journey. Below is a photo of our guide , and the river we will be running. If you are interested, let me know as soon as possible. This trip is often sold out a year in advance. OUR GUIDE Her Name is UCAN TUCHUM Don't forget...let me know if you would like a spot on the trip Regards, Chief Beaver Hunter P.S. Have some great stuff for the peace pipe --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't seem to recall seeing this place on my previous trips to Pattaya in Soi Diamond(probably too pissed) , but the menu looks pretty good especially if you're a meat lover. Have carried out a search for the place on this board, but can't find too much information regarding food quality, service, value for money etc etc .This is their website. http://www.swissfood.net/index.htm. It goes without saying(almost), that I have no vested interest, just looking for another half decent place to eat that is in the heart of the action Any boardies got any feed back, good or bad please ?
