  1. There used to be "Formula One" cafe over the road, not sure if it's still there, as I haven't been for a couple of years, but if so, it was ok for a breakfast. In the R.G itself the breakfast menu, I think, still finishes sometime mid/late morning, then its on to the menu proper. Certainly agree about the walk to Walking street. That works up a nice thirst
  2. Police have just released details of a new drug craze that is being carried out in Yorkshire nightclubs. Apparently Yorkshire night clubbers have started injecting ecstasy just above their front teeth. A police spokesman commented that the dangerous practice is known as "E bah Gum" A Yorkshire man takes his cat to the vet. Yorkshire man: "Ay up lad I need to talk to thee about me cat". Vet: "Is it a Tom" ? Yorkshire man." nay lad I've browt it wi me" A Yorkshireman's dog dies and as it was a favourite pet he decides to have a gold statue made by a jeweller
  3. Dreamy but entertaining and in truth the aspirations of many. BTW you've been reading too much porn
  4. Tom, that price of 78K baht does seem very good.Whilst I realise that fares do vary dependent on which direction,source/destination one is headed. At an exchange rate of around 45 baht to the pound sterling, that equates to around £1750. A popular ticket source used by quite a few on this board, WestEast travel, advertises the same flight, Jan 2014 thru June (different direction) for FROM £2039...and that seems to be an "offer" I have only used EVA premium economy so can't comment on travelling "Royal Laurel", but the video, food menu, facilities etc look pretty civilised to me.
  5. Thanks Monkeyman. Believe it or not I did initially try this but with no effect.(I guess that my pc was unresponsive at the time). Just did it again and it worked so many thanks to you sir
  6. When starting or replying to posts the Blue Tool Bar featuring amongst others font size, emoticons, text justify and my media is greyed out.I expect this will be something pretty simple but so far I have been unable to rectify.Any body have any idea on this one. BTW my enable emoticons options box is ticked. Thanks N3.
  7. Not splitting hairs here, but I always thought it was as useful as a...... As useful as condom vending machine in the Vatican. As useful as a one legged man at an arse kicking competition. As useful as an inflatable dartboard.
  8. Brilliant pics Mr Firth. Many thanks. They have clearly gone to an awful lot of trouble("lest we forget") to keep the whole place in a "re-constructed" state. The "Arbeit Macht Frei" sign over the main entrance is always a grim reminder of the nature of these places and as far as I know the common slogan at the entrance point to the other German Concentration camps. Sometimes the large size of these places escapes the imagination but from the overhead view pic it's clear to see the huge scale of operations they had going. Interesting pic of the commandant's house, where presumably, he, his wife
  9. Thanks MM that was pretty dumb of me, BUT, you are able to see the voting results displayed as a result of others actions, whether they be positive or negative...right ! That was my misunderstanding ! Oh yes, and I just found the light switch!!! Cheers BTW Activating that "switch" has also affected the font and text editing for the better.
  10. I still do not get any voting buttons on my posts and emoticons are greyed out. Done all the suggested fixes on this thread. Using Google Chrome.Emoticons do work though using I.E ???
  11. I don't think that the carbon monoxide from the traffic fumes ingested whilst sitting in the back of a baht bus helps much either.
  12. This happened to me earlier today but now appears to be working ! I'm also using chrome.
  13. Fascinating report thanks Aussiechic. I keep meaning to have a try at the fishing ponds near to Pattaya, but never seem to get round to it.(can'think why ) Saw lots of footage about the Arapaima on Jeremy Wade's fishing programmes here in UK. They can be huge beasts, at their largest exceeding 400 lbs in weight. This species is native to South America mainly in the Amazon river system, where they are known locally, as pirarucu . Did you get to weigh the one you caught ? It must have been quite a thrill to have tangled with such a fish as this.....what perhaps about 30-40lbs ? Great report and
  14. I think MM said they will be playing on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Not sure if that has been modified though !

  16. Might have been helpful to give the link http://www.emirates....CFUbKtAodf3wAZQ
  17. ttk thanks for the pics. I had heard they had moved the evening buffet area around. Looks like they have added another "wing" at 90 degrees to the original. On my last stay there was some building going on at the rear of the hotel. Anyone know what that has become ? I presumed at the time that it was construction of apartments or similar. This hotel has always been a favourite of mine due to it having so many excellent attributes, the staff in particular, but also the very cordial manner in which it is run.
  18. What about This is a regular in Central America and does taste like chicken !
  19. Hi All, I remember I posted quite a while ago looking for advice on accessing free photo editing software, and was directed, by some kind soul, towards the Irfanview software http://www.irfanview.com/. which is excellent. I found another similar programme the other day which is "Photofiltre" https://www.google.c... This is another excellent free software programme which some BMs may be interested in. It is completely free and has a good range of cropping and editing tools.
