I am primarily a TC guy with some cash involved as well. Cash is the only means of payment I have ever had problems with in Asia. I tried to exchange currency that was new but of a series with a high risk of fraud. So not a bank in Indonesia would touch it. In some countries if the bills have any marks at all they will not be accepted. And living in the tourism capital of North America, casinos routinely test every large bill. So almost impossible to meet the standard.

Looking forward to checking this place out on my January trip. Hope they are open by then.

Seems meds were to blame. I investigate commercial vehicle accidents for a living. Lately several buses have been badly damaged and passengers sent to the hospital by elderly drivers on new medications. Meds can actually be worse than alcohol but not as bad as driving tired which is the most dangerous driving act you can commit.

This is the only tomahawk anybody in the US has ever heard of.

I use the Secrets car service. They are always waiting to pick me up right on time. Vehicle in great shape. And my room is ready to go when I arrive at the hotel. Could not ask for more.

Not sure how many people outside of the US will get this, but very funny. I just returned from Mexico a few hours ago. Tijuana is probably the second best mongering destination in the world, imo.

The girls need dance friendly music. Since there seems to be general opposition to electronic music in LOS go go 's that is what is left. Tahitian Queen, while my favorite daytime bar, has a huge problem with the rock only menu. In that the girls trying to dance sexy to some songs not meant to be danced to leaves these girls looking out of place.

Hip hop or rap is what drives in people not near death. Keep some variety.

The unit for sale appears rather nice. The problem appears to be the built ins. I was in the real estate business for many years. The built ins appear rather large for the bedroom and make an already small room look smaller. Getting rid of those and going with a smaller corner closet and perhaps a large dresser would be the best solution.

I Not sure if that could be pulled off today from a US based bank. They watch and inspect every loan carefully. Especially if you specify the purpose. There is such a thing as a HELOC (home equity line of credit) that basically is used like a credit card secured against the equity in your house. The way the real estate market here is increasing, the equity option could be a good one in the next few years. I may have to ask around on my next trip to Pattaya how others finance.

You have obviously never been to Wall Street or anywhere in corporate America. They do this all day everyday.

Ok. So where would the foreigner, not married to a Thai, be able to borrow the money? Do lenders exist that will cater to foreigners buying property in Thailand? Can the loan be arranged through a broker in Thailand and the funds transferred in? Or would I have to search around my local community to find a lender? Just a curiosity. I have given thought to buying a vacation condo in Pattaya sometime in the next few years.

Price seems quite reasonable. How hard is it to get a loan on property in Thailand? Especially condos?

I have always got good service at PBG. I like the location and the staff. I first and foremost am on vacation. So I try to worry about nothing and go with the flow.

I am somewhat familiar with this mentality. My ex is Indonesian Chinese. Her family is surely in the 1% club in Indonesia if not most of the world. I always questioned how her aunties, uncles, cousins treated the house staff, drivers, bodyguards, etc. I even had my favorite maid stand on the receiving line at our wedding. I handled a situation like this years ago working in the security department of a major strip hotel. So give me some background and your answer ye shall get.

I work in ADA compliance transit and have for 7 years now. I have seen many clients go from a healthy body weight to as much as 180 pounds overweight in less than a year. The ADA is now adding a regulation to help these larger folks. ADA bus lifts currently can handle up to 800 pounds in weight. In less than 2 years all lifts will be able to handle up to 1100 pounds. That is scooter and client. We currently have 20 clients who routinely break the lift when they try to board the bus in their scooters.

How would you compare this with Secrets? Better or worse?

Of course. A reverse program could be designed or used in the UK and SEA. But once again it shows a deliberate attempt at being efficient in providing delivery service.
