I couldn't agree more. I haven't used the regular immigration line in quite awhile now. I do like to take a look at it as I walk by. My usual flight in arrives around 1030. I always see families of Indians and Russians handing their immigration cards to the Thai officers. And expecting them to fill them out. The immigration lines would not be so bad if they had somebody checking that all the paperwork was filled out before they allowed people in line. Like my bank and US Customs does. I do BKK to Phnom Penh most every trip. I have started using Bangkok Airways as it has more flights between BKK and PNH for about the same prices.

Check on visa requirements for Taiwan. I had to get my visa at the consulate in LA when I last went there for an extended stay a few years ago. I was going to work, however, so that may be the difference.

Oddly enough, you could rent the equivalent in Vegas for under 2,000 per month and spend the rest on gambling and hookers.

Happy to. My connecting flight (SFO to TPE) ran an hour late arriving. They automatically put me on a much later flight but managed to run across the airport to make the proper connection. On the return BKK to TPE smoke came out of the engine closest to my window as we are backing out. Plane was towed back. 4 hours later I missed my connection and was delayed 24 hours in returning. This despite a half full EVA flight that left an hour into the breakdown for TPE and would have gotten the 16 of us to our connections in plenty of time. I realize this is China Southern, not China Air. But I would not recommend China airlines to anybody. My return trip to the US was a disaster.

I strongly recommend a ride with Paul and the gang. A first class bunch. Looking forward to another ride soon.

Depends on where you live. 40k a year in Vegas means a nice home that you can own with a low monthly payment. A new or newer car. Regular dining out in nice restaurants and any kind of entertainment you have in mind.

The rep. meets you at the jetway. They walk you to the VIP station. On the way to VIP line the rep. checks out your paperwork making sure everything is filled out correctly. They then hand your passport and paperwork to the immigration officer at VIP. A quick stamp and you are on your way to baggage claim. I had the rep. wait for my bags while I used the restroom. Took only a few minutes and when I returned my bag was waiting for me. Walked right through customs with the rep. no questions asked and out the door to where my driver from Secrets was waiting. The best way never to have to deal with any of this is to use fast trak. It took me exactly 15 minutes to get through both immigration and customs using this service arriving at 1130 am. The best thing ever. I will be booking fast trak service again for my June trip. And the immigration rep. at the VIP station was seriously cute. Could have made big money in any Pattaya bar.
