  9. Just made a booking with GO taxi quick and easy with their online link. Was not asked for forward payment as I have been in the past and 1600 baht for a van so cost between three not much more then the bus anyway and it's door to door. The proof will be when they are waiting for me at the airport on the 29th Oct, I'll keep you posted and give a rating but so far so good.

  19. Just a quick one guys. Popping over in 4 weeks for a short stay. Tropical Berts was recommended to me by an ex pat friend though I gues he has never stayed there. Two questions 1. Being on Soi 6/1 what is the noise like if I wanted to sleep. 2. Guest friendly. I only have 19 nights this trip considered staying here for a week and if okayI'd extend, and if not I'd move on I usually well only ever done the RG before which is okay except for the hard bed. Thanks fellas
  20. Shit I saw a pic of me in that lot, cool my first pic in the post Thanks Hammer
  21. Must be a one off I've had two great trips with Mr Dream with the lovely Pang as my driver and while in Patts we had a driver 3x a week and never ever a problem Mr Dream is great in my books
  22. I actually booked from home and got that price when booking I told them it would be my 3rd stay with them and if they treated me okay I would come again and that was the cost for 30 nights which was good considering most of it was in high season. But I guess you should ask along the lines I did. Goodluck Zed
  23. I'll also keep an eye on this thread, I too am a residence garden fan and have infact only left last week I stayed at residence gardens for 30 nights in one bedroom suite for 36000 baht not bad I thought considering Nov was busy season, I did note though that it was less than half occupied so they will do deals as will anyone else. The Areca I have heard is good and comes with two free breakfasts for you and your barfine
  24. Thanks, we are staying at the residence gardens, I actually just wlked into the first joint I saw before I had breakfast yesterday morning just up from the Nags Head on 2nd Rd Royal something it was called I had a poreclain filling and cap cost 2500 which was more than I expected but still very cheap by home standards. I've got some mor ework to do so I will shop around now and get quotes. Thanks Zed
