  1. Mr Dream I think was about 2200 return trip including 10 cold singha beers when we arrive not bloody bad
  2. Meet Fergus l.ast year and took them up on a round of golf. Alas I was too pissed to see the ball let alone hit it. But the golf and transport is well organised, meet at the bar in the morning have breakfast with the lads and then off for the day. They do organise special rates at the chosen course Good on ya Fergus I'll be over in nine days and look forward to catching up for a few brewskies. Zed
  3. Cant you just bring your ph from home and chuck in a Thai sim card?????
  4. I'm not too sure but I've heard some very good reports from some golfer I play with here at home, he lives in Pats 66 months of the year so is very much a local he will be there on my next visit only 24 more sleeps away. I will be shown the sights there by him and report back while I am there as this year taking the lap top as I am staying for 30 nights. Anyway apparantly it's on the left heading towards Jontiem down a small soi just passed the RG. I'll post some pics.
  5. Residence Gardens my friend has everything, okay you may have a short walk to w/s but apparantly just up the hill theres the stork club heard some good reports. At RG you have pool no hassel all good with guests.
  6. I've got a booking at Residence Gardens for 30 nights mid Oct to mid Nov so obviously some of that high season they have agreed to a rate of 36000 all inclusive per suite, we booked two, and our third stay. We are just comfortale there.
  7. I agree whole heartedly can't go passed the residence gardens, very guest friendly and priced right just booked for a month and this will be my third visit and for repeat business good rates are available.
  8. I've just booked my third stay 1st trip stayed 10 days last year three weeks and have just booked a month for Nov. They appreciate return business and have got a great deal better than the rate advertised here. Sure you may find some where more central more plush and with a softer bed my only gripe. But overall a very good place with no hassels what so ever
  9. from experience and much research I don't think you will get any cheaper through these sites that state they have specials. Cut out the middle man email the resort hotel direct or walk in off the street money talks bullshit walks know what I mean
  10. Nothing wrong with the good old residence gardens I've just booked a month for the third time. We like it as its close enough to walk to the action and close enough to walk home if you so desire and are not too pissed, because of the distance from town its relatively quiet. Internet what who needs that when on holiday just sometthing extra to lug over and back. Reasonable rates guest friendly nice staff and management. I'd recomment the place, hey I've never stayed anywhere else either but if its not broke why fix it
  11. Hey Knortyboy I just dropped a note in the funnies thread about some useful websites with some obliging real estate people who reply and are keen to rent short or long term take a look. The main site I suggest you go to is http://www.thaiwebsites.com/propertiespattaya.asp from there I would choose Pattaya Realty Co. or Blue Vision Good Luck Zed
  12. Try this http://www.thaiwebsites.com/propertiespattaya.asp There a lot of sites here I have emailed some and have got very good and keen responses of these I think http://www.bluevisionagency.com/ and http://www.propertypattaya.com/ were very good. if you just go to the 1st link then look up these two in particular they have short term rentals ie 1 month. good luck. let me know how you get on Cheers Zed
  13. Mr Dream can we use your car and a driver around Pats during the dayamybe three time a week to local golf courses or maybe sightseeing, just wondering what the cost would be, get tired of the baht bus and cant be bothered renting a car for about 12 days in the month.
  14. Well there you go!! I know where I wont be going. Thanks
  15. The site worked well for me and quick. They look like cheap rentals, and what I could be looking for on my next visit, what would improve are a few more photos of the property and a map showing the location. A rental car deal with the short term rental would also be a good idea???? Don't know just thinking of all the things I would require.
  16. 36000 Baht, my trip is from the 20th Oct through to 18th Nov the rack rate is 40000 to 31 oct then 45000 from 1st Nov so I am happy with that. They are guest friendly and far enough from town to get a good nights sleep. It's my third time at the RG and I am comfortable there. They dont ask for a deposit up front just give them the credit card when you leave and all done and dusted. Cheers
  17. Hi All I did make some enquiries with this place. They did tell me they are guest friendly but the big minus was they did not have a pool but said you could use the pool at Tony's which must be near by. The old faithful residence gardens though has come to the party with a good monthly rate including power water and daily maid service, I just wish their beds were a little softer.
  18. Hey they do look rather spiffy and the price looks a cracker too. I'm going to enquiry I arrive on the 20th Oct for a month and haven't booked anything yet, I'll post the results of my enquiries here if you are interested
  19. Guys I will be there this year I arrive on the 20th Oct through until the 18th Nov, bringing my clubs so I'll be in along with my fellow traveller
  20. I heard they are going to melt him down and make a leggo set from him so the kids can play with him for a change
  21. Yeah pay up and be comforted in the fact you have a pillow for the night you'll need it after the flight for christ sakes you are on holiday enjoy it live like a king while you are away. Go out bring something home for the morning good luck
  22. I've only ever stayed at Residence Gardens and never been asked to register a guest there, and I've never had a problem either, But I don't leave money etc around at home either, just be careful and tidy
  23. Hey Guys and there are no girls are there?? Last Year while staying at residence gardens looked around at LK Pavilion. It lokked very very swank and we had a look at both studio and suite, they were furnished to a very high standard, They did say they were guest friendly and all in all they looked very nice. Looking at their site I see studio's are 28000 per month and suite'e 45000 exclusive of electricity and water, which is good price I THINK. Has anyone stayed here or does anyone have knowledge about LK and if they are ok or not??? We are looking at months accom mid Oct to mid
  24.
