  1. There are at least 3 fast track services at BKK. The least expensive (around 1250 IIRC) has has some complaints on other forums. The one for around 1650 hasn't (and has had a few people comment favourably). You would need to pay for both directions though. E-mail and ask them. It has to be cheaper than paying for arrival and departure on separate days, as it would be the same fast track employee going both ways, I'd think. You just need the CIP passes not the people frankly. I doubt they'd add any additional help if you know the airport. The "CIP" fast track is very fast. I used it arr
  2. Let me put it this way, if they want to work it's either a fee or contingency and if the latter a deposit wouldn't be paid. I doubt I'd hire on a flat rate unless it was only based on success as you just have no idea how hard or at all they'll work. I wouldn't prepay a flat fee either. Debt collection is a gamble for the collector too.
  3. Two comments I have engaged contingency fee collectors for decades and the idea of a deposit is unrealistic. I have not heard of a bank , and maybe it was a Thai bank in the case mentioned, that did not indemnify debit card holders from cloned card abuse. Waiting for three weeks might make them act that way as it isn't very prudent to not pay attention. Sounds more like a band camp story.
  4. Read all the posts as Delta fucks you with redemption rates 2-3X other airlines.
  5. The daily post of the vertical black car continues.
  6. There are few pathogens that get you sick in 2 hours. Certainly not E.Coli for which you'd take a quinilone like Cipro and which would give you the trots. You didn't say what violently ill means, assuming vomiting that would not be a normal symptom of E.Coli (which comes on 24-72 hours anyway - not two). That explains why Cipro didn't work. If you ate chicken it could be Salmonella , nope, that is more like 8 hours to a day to come on. Not two hours. Shigella takes well over 2 hours, botulism you'd be dead so it was in all honesty something eaten elsewhere, excess drinking, bacterial o
  7. Delta actually has three levels so SE Asia can be as much as 370,000 miles round trip. Now you know they don't expire as you need your entire life to earn a flight. And they meld business with first which is a huge difference. They are part of Star Alliance so what are the award level on *A vs. Delta? By way of comparison AA's program flying on Cathay Pacific is 135,000 miles in First. Real first, bed and pajamas first and only 110,000 for Business which is still pretty good if they are the new generation seats. Note the low redemption level on Delta is 120,000 so in fairness they
  8. Apart from a few, the miles tend only to expire if you have no activity. Earning 10 miles from a promotion or redeeming anything, or using an airline mile branded credit card extends the expiry dates. If you can't buy, earn or spend for two years (AA example) then you aren't much of a participant in the program, really.
  9. And what people don't even realize if they are inexperienced, the airline will happily sell you a double rate anytime award for the same amount as a milesaver award in business would cost. When the latter is available - and they won't recommend the better class option. I use ExpertFlyer which is a subscription service that allows me to access the airlines' GDS and I can see award availability, all classes, all types on AA anyway so I can call knowing what is in inventory and also upgrades of all types too. Again, I pay for that an most people would not want to. I have miles up the hoop
  10. Find a member in Pattaya now with a PayPal account. Send them some money. Ask them to do it.
  11. What's missing here and most relevant to BM's is that single seats are often very easy to get. On AA I have never failed to redeem a FF award in 11 years. Also vs. paying top price for Anytime awards usually double the regular rate try business or first at a lower redemption rate. These are easy to get one as most people are too cheap to redeem 60,000 vs. 30,000.
  12. A good place for medical advice vis-a-vis your pecker is a doctor vs. Web boards, just a thought.
  13. Aeon ATMs one of which is at Tesco on North Pattaya road has no THB150 fee. It's a bit of a grind to get to for saving five bucks so it depends on what your time is worth. All ATMs have a physical limit that is not necessarily related to your withdrawal limit set by your bank and that's usually 20 banknotes. So IF the ATM has 1000's then you should be able to get THB20,000 around $650. If your withdrawal limit at your bank is more than that, then do two withdrawals at the same ATM. One thing is I found that the Aeon exchange rate seems marginally poorer than Kasikorn so for $1300
  14. Read the Wikipedia article and then stay away from it. 83% of users quit in the 1st 2 months I guess in part due to it making you puke and not working.
  15. What it doesn't have is the power output which for a power supply is kind of important. But it cannot handle 40W so not of much use for a large amount of $.
  16. What they never tell you is that solar chargers tend to be quite feeble vis-a-vis AC types so it can take days to charge a laptop or an iPad etc. And no sun or cloudy double or triple that. Vs. Putting a note go look elsewhere for $230 buckeroos what's the power output in volts and amps and if a battery is integral what capacity in watt hours? At least put a link to the site with the facts.
  17. I'd think happy or sad, you'd be able to use it as the device or the program can't see you or know how you feel.
  18. Tripadvisor doesn't seem to, to the point that the management replies to the less flattering ones. Not sure of the coverage of all the hotels in Pattaya but probably more than Agoda since Agoda only has listings and comments for hotels they sell.
  19. I bet dozens of BMs are looking for a house that costs $1.2 Million US.
  20. When do you last post a review. I have to admit I haven't so I bet there are a lot of guilty.
  21. The board seems to have substituted the hotel questions and comments for more real time info but I do enjoy reading what people thought of of hotels during the Nixon administration. MM is right if nobody contributes new reviews it withers on the vine. Tripadvisor and Agoda etc., Asiatravel have a lot of reviews.
  22. Queen Vic, nice atmosphere, not loud music but good music, large menu, good prices, cider on draft, Thai menu, cider on draft, good view of goings on in Soi 6, cider on draft, back entrance from 6/1 so you can see the ya-baa'd up ladyboys gyrating in the alley, cider on draft.
  23. Martin is this the type of party where there are restricted barfines or double or after 12 midnight etc., or like normal?
  24. Here are four over the last few days Girl with nice rack video: Traffic outside RG: Rain at the RG: April 18th with TKK:
