Let's hear what's going on with you now...similar to Facebook

The carriers are usually lazy bastards. There is a gas station near our house. The carriers are at the point that they NEVER deliver to the house. Fortunately the gal at the gas station is a friendly helpful type. She must sign for the items and so far I have always received them. If the tracking says delivered, at least I know where they are. Even Kerry Express has started doing that. I guess that is better than having to drive to the post office. -

I just got finished watching the Klitcho fight. Not very exciting, actually boring. I do hope the Mayweather fight is better. I watched it on http://www.stopstream.me/ If you are in Bangkok and want a terrific cup of coffee, go to the old Cowboy bar across from Queen's Park Plaza hotel on Soi 22. They use the French press. Reasonably priced and a large cup. Their food is so-so but OK. Good breakfast. I usually stay at the Honey House 2 hotel that is near the Cowboy bar. -

I have CAT Internet using an air card. It is sometimes pretty good and sometimes very bad, meaning very slow. This month it has been pathetic. I was disgusted enough to tell my wife to cancel it. I had her sign up with Truemove H post paid with the iNet SIM. That SIM is for Internet only. The package is 899 baht per month and gives me 10 GB per month with and extra 2 GB because of a promotion. So far it is pretty good. Anytime I can get 5 Mbps down and 4 up, I'm quite happy. This is one of the disadvantages of living in the boonies. -

Strange that you should mention coffee. I have a drip coffee maker but it is too much bother to grind beans and go to the trouble. I now drink Red Cup instant and just bought a Nescafe coffee maker for it. It is supposed to make the instant coffee as good as coffee from an espresso machine. Obviously it doesn't do that but it is much better than just putting in hot water. It is convenient and I think that the steam and super hot water water gets the best taste possible out of instant coffee. As usual my wife outsmarts me. She makes coffee so bad that I am forced to make it myself. She is a -

Mid May a good friend of mine is coming from Florida for a visit. He is bringing his Brazilian girlfriend with him. That eliminated our normal whoring around. His brother lives in Chiang Rai. We decided to take the ladies to Angkor Watt. My wife always wanted to see it and my Chiang Rai friend's wife also wanted to see it. I spent the day making air ticket and hotel reservations. Everything is now planned except my re-entry permit. I'll be headed to Chiang Khan next Tuesday. This is NOT our normal itinerary for my friend's visit. No Ban Chang visit for him this trip. We could have saved qu -
A young blonde girl in her late teens, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a "handy woman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighbourhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do. "Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint the porch" he said. "How much will you charge me?" Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about £50?" The man agreed and told her that the paint, brushes and everything she would need were in the garage. The man's wife hearing the conversation, s

I think you summed that up quite accurately. I was given a vacation from Thai Visa when I made a comment about one of the leading homosexual posters. He complained that I should be barred. I haven't posted on Thai Visa for several years. My comment was that I thought his type were more peace loving than the more aggressive posters. Pissed him off big time.

I carried 8 loose packs and a carton of cigarettes through US customs. I WAS checked. The guy who was inspecting my luggage smiled and said that he was NOT looking for cigarettes.

I have never been a fan of Stickman but I could change my mind. He has pegged Thai Visa perfectly. http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/StickmanWeeklyColumn2015/George-Thai-Visa.htm

A beautiful day in Sunny London........Photos

It's a beautiful city. It's too bad that the government is giving away the country. What a shame. -
I used AIS for about ten years. I had some problems with their Internet package. Every month they would renew my package. I purposely kept my balance low so they could not do that. They kept sending me SMS messages about my balance. If I topped it up, they immediately renewed that package that I didn't want. I called them again to complain and asked them to cancel the monthly deal. They charged me 20 baht for the cancellation and guess what happened? YES, they renewed it again. That SIM card went in the trash. I now use Truemove H. It too has quirks but at least they don't outright cheat me.

For the old Navy veterans, sausage gravy on toast or biscuits is called SOS. The official Navy name is shit on a shingle. It's great if the gravy is made properly. I had it in Ban Chang the last trip and it was NOT made properly. It really needs sausage with some flavor.

Rich Man Poor Man is one of my regular eating spots. I'll be certain to stop in and try the chicken fried steak. The picture from the Texas Lone Star doesn't really look like it should, but it maybe be worth a try. Thanks.

Chicken fried steak, I haven't seen that for a long time. The last time I had that was at Bourbon Street in Bangkok. Is it available anywhere in the Pattaya area?

Back in the good old days they gave you a scratch off card. You could get 50, 100, 300 or 500 baht cards. Now you get a tiny piece of paper with even tinier writing on it. Now there is a phone shop next to the local grocery store. I stop in there, hand them my phone and however much money I want to put in. They call a number with their phone and BINGO, done.

The problem here in Thailand is that the gangs are mostly underage little bastards who cannot be prosecuted because of their age. Western countries also suffer from these stupid laws. Probably the best way of protecting yourself is not to be a target. No watch, jewelry or even rings. Wearing a necklace makes you an obvious easy target. Be careful when making an ATM withdrawal. Remotely located ATM machines are often watched.

I guess she didn't realize she needed to drive on the left

I'd guess she had a bad yaba trip. -
Since a farang cannot legally own property except for a condo, I'm sure you could find a sweet young thing who would be happy to have that house in her name. What could possibly go wrong?

Where in Pattaya can I buy a cheap hand blender ?
Gary replied to Odense's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I ordered a coffee maker from Lazada on Sunday morning. It came today and everything was as ordered. The Kerry tracking website didn't work, it said no record of the number but my coffee maker came today so I guess I can't complain. -

My problem with AliExpress was after the dispute was cancelled, the seller forgot about me. AliExpress told me that I cancelled the dispute so they could do nothing. The phone was guaranteed for a year. Hongkong Hi5 Mobile refused to answer my messages so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. That got some action. Unfortunately after sending the phone back to them twice, I still had more problems within a couple of weeks of getting the phone back. It is a pain in the ass sending it back not to mention the expense. The guarantee runs out in June and now they say that I didn't buy t -

I have ordered three different items from Lazada. All three were shipped via Kerry logistics. Two came in three days and one took four days. The items were well packed and all three came with free shipping. All three were small electronic items. Since I got screwed by AliExpress, I have cancelled my membership. Most of the AliExpress sellers are fine but if you ever need after sales service, as in a guarantee, forget it. I have a Samsung S4 in a drawer that is just junk. That seller, Hongkong Hi5 mobile, now denies ever even selling me the phone and they refuse to answer emails or messages -
I think he is the worst president we ever had, but, politicians are not to be trusted and all of them manipulate the figures to suit whatever side they are on. I'll repeat, Figures don't lie but liars figure.

I have found Lazada to be a good convenient way to buy things; http://www.lazada.co.th/shop-blenders-mixers-grinders/ -
Unemployment? Do you find it odd that able bodied people on welfare are NOT included in the unemployed figures? Figures don't lie but liars figure.

Rules for immigration offices are NOT the same. For example, I had a certificate of deposit for 800,000 baht at the Farmers Agricultural Bank. That was acceptable as long as I could draw out the money at any time. The 90 day check in had also been very easy. They scanned the bar code on the paper they attach to your passport and that's it. Now they have a new boss. She is a genuine cunt. In November I went for my extension. She says that certificate is not acceptable and it must be in a savings account. I told her that it was always OK in the past. I said I would go to the bank tomorrow and pu
