This is poorly written. The one way should end at Soi Chiayapruk and not up to second road. Ending at Second road would make getting to many businesses impossible. Then again, logic rarely enters into these decisions. Surely Second road and Chaiyapruk will still be two way?

How many kilometers can your Honda go for the price of a lady drink?

I really think that the idle stop not working is just nit picking. If you were worried about saving two baht worth of benzene, you should rent a MUCH cheaper bike to start with.

There are still a number of high roller crooks who need to be prosecuted. Research Drummond's writings and you will see a lot of names. Most of these crooks are protected by the Thai libel laws and if you can't afford to pay for your legal protection from these frivolous law suits, you can very easily go to jail or at the least end up going back to your home country totally broke. Check out Neils Colov and make up your own mind. -
Yes, the forum is kind of like my wife. We know EVERYTHING!

The kick stand safety is a good thing. I once dumped my Yamaha Elegance because I forgot to put the kick stand up. No harm done but it was embarrassing. Why are there always people watching when you do something stupid?

The battery will run down if the bike is used in nothing but stop and go. The alternator doesn't have time to fully charge the battery unless you can keep the bike running constantly for maybe fifteen minutes or longer.

That bum is very well connected but unfortunately for him, the powers that were have been bumped out of their positions by the more powerful military. I would hope that others that have been scammed will now step up and the truth comes out. I think he will find it more difficult to buy his way out of this one. -
Steak & Co. on Soi Lengkee (updated May 29, 2015)

A good steak that is dry and well done is a total waste. I don't like my steak raw but neither do I like it well done. I like it tender, juicy and pink in the center. -
Steak & Co. on Soi Lengkee (updated May 29, 2015)

I don't want anything poured on my steak. If I put any kind of sauce on my steak, that means it is a poor tasteless piece of meat. Also, there is no substitute for genuine butter. -
If by terrace, you mean a balcony, it's different strokes for different folks. My condo is 60 square meters and has two balconies. The one off the bedroom is at least twice as big as the one off the living room. The large balcony overlooks the swimming pool and gardens. It's great to sit out there and have morning coffee or a drink in the evening. The one off the living room has a clothes drying rack and my washing machine. That is also where the cleaning supplies are kept. Mops, buckets, brooms etc. I wouldn't want to give up either of them. Having a separate bedroom is the biggest benefit of having more space.

My idea of condo sizes is that a single guy living alone can be pretty comfortable in a 40 square meter studio. If you have a room mate, you will be far better off with a unit that has a separate bedroom. She will want to watch Thai language TV and you would want English language TV. You WILL need two separate rooms for that. I also want my computer in the bedroom. A lot of built in storage will also be important. It's amazing how much junk a guy can accumulate. After you live in your condo for a while, you would find that an apartment sized refrigerator is too small. Make sure you have room for a decent sized refrigerator. I also would find it difficult to be without a washing machine and a balcony to dry the clothes.

When I first moved upcountry, there were boys with sling shots who killed the large geckos called Took Gares. They sold the dead lizards to a stupid old man who thought eating them made him more virile. It so happens that a favorite food for these lizards are those ugly dangerous centipedes. I'm happy to say that the gecko population is now stable and we VERY seldom see any of those despicable creatures. Do your best to protect the large geckos. Added - Found on the Internet;

So you prefer to call it an extension. That's really not very descriptive. What are you extending?
-
This is sounding like the nit pickers on Thai Visa. Everyone knows what a retirement visa is yet some insist on calling it an extension. I think they do that just to find fault with people who call it a retirement visa. Spelling errors do irritate me but I don't normally look for posts just to correct the spelling. As far as Siam Legal, no way would I pay $719 US to get a 1,900 baht ($60) retirement visa or as the nit pickers insist on, an extension. The two most common visas are the retirement and the marriage visas. Neither are the exact correct terms but everyone knows what they are. ADDED - A friend of mine was paying an agent 10,000 baht every year for a phony stamp. Just as they were about to catch up with him, he died so it really didn't matter.

I blame out of control disrespectful kids today on permissive parents. Parents who tell their kids that it was not their fault for telling lies, taking drugs and having no respect for the law or anything else. For a teacher or anyone else in authority to have their life ruined by a kid telling plain lies about what some innocent person allegedly did to them really stinks. Not that a 4 year old can do this but older spoiled kids can and do. They do this because they know they can get even with someone who they do not like for one reason or another. It appears that never taking responsibility for you own actions is how permissive parents teach their kids. Defending your kids may usually be a good thing to do but not when the kids are way out of line.

I didn't say that it came from this thread; From a recent BigD post; "Gary gets a lot of spam from right wing nutters. He's good with cut and paste but not so good doing a bit of research to see if theres any validity to the claims made." Maybe you read it differently from how I read it?

The sharks are circling. I'd bet that his woman is after a settlement. How did the child get his eye injured? Did Peterson hit him with his fist or maybe a weapon like a switch? And you have the nerve to accuse me of posting bullshit.

I agree that spanking a child is different than a whipping that causes injury. I went to a Catholic school and the superintendent used a perforated board for discipline. It made some welts but never drew blood. The nuns used a wooden ruler on your hands and that sometimes did draw blood. I preferred the superintendent's "board" of education to the nun's ruler. I don't know of any student who Had any emotional problems from this. You should never discipline a kid when you are angry. It does appear that this guy got carried away. I do feel sorry that this guy got carried away with anger and is now having his life ruined by a bleeding heart lynch mob. Child abusers kill kids. They fracture bones and sometimes a child's skull. They are the ones who need to go to jail. To call a switch a weapon is just plain stupid.

Do any of you actually believe that you can reason with a four year old? Do you believe that a four year old knows when his life or health is in danger?

My daughters son was a spoiled brat raised by very permissive parents. He was totally out of control. During a visit, my son told the parents that the boy needed his ass whipped and if they would not do it he would. He took the boy outside and put his belt to him. My daughter was screaming and her husband was too scared to say or do anything. My son said that he would NEVER set foot inside their house again and he never did. Spare the rod and spoil the child. You can't reason with a four year old. All they understand at that age is pain. It's not pleasant to whip a child but sometimes it is necessary. Adrian Peterson cared enough about his child to discipline him. When I was a kid, my parents would make ME go out and cut a GOOD switch off the tree for my whipping. There was a ditch across the road from my house. There were frogs and other interesting things for little boys to see. Our dog got hit and killed by a car. I took the boy out to look at the dead dog and explained that could happen to him if he tried to cross the road. Did he listen and remember? Hell no. The next time I caught him crossing the road, I had to take off my belt. He DID remember that.

KING ARTHUR AND THE OLD UGLY WOMAN Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if, after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death. The question?...What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him to consult the old ugly woman, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high; as the woman was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the old woman. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old ugly woman wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the woman answered Arthur's question thus: What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life. Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the woman had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was, the neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the ugly woman had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened. The young beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared ugly, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half. Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night? Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old ugly woman? Or, would he prefer having a hideous woman during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments? What would YOU do? What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll down below. OKAY? Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life. Now....what is the moral to this story? The moral is..... If you don't let a woman have her own way.... Things are going to get ugly...

I guess it depends where you live and if you have the free WiFi. As for myself, I'm out in the boonies and am limited to 5 GB per month. There is no WiFi here. Sometimes it is indeed a sacrifice to be able to live in God's country.

How many GB did you use watching the game?

A good friend of mine used to go deer (dear) hunting every year for a week or so.The last year before his divorce, she took the bolt out of his rifle before he left. He never noticed because he never took it out of the case.
