I got stopped about 6 montha ago although i was wearing my helmet.They were stopping everyone.I have Thai license,helmet,tax but although i have been stopped before with no problems this time he said "where is the green book"? I wasnt carrying a copy or original ,it was in the house so he wrote me a ticket and told me to go and pay his boss at the side of the road 200bt. There was a big queue of people there already waiting and when it got to my turn it changed from 200bt to 400bt. Itwas all written in Thai so i didnt understand.I questioned it but he just kept saying no 200bt,400bt.I paid

I checked them out when i saw the offering 1 way flights from Gatwick the week before new year at £250.Couldnt believe it.Though when you add on all the extras from the budget airline such as paying for food,luggage,check in,in flight entertainment,choosing seat etc it came to almost as much as the other cheap flights.Also it was 12.5 hrs to Kuala Lumpur with a 2.5 hr wait then 3 hrs to Bangkok.Not worth the hassle.

Jetlag,it cost 30,000bt.Didnt get any other quotes so cant compare.

Can anyone recommend any accident insurance.Want to be covered for riding motorbike mainly.I know bupa do it but doesnt seem to cover for much and the bill could quickly add up if you had a long stay in hospital. Many Thanks

I remember seeing a bizarre sign just behind the benches outside the front door of carrefour.Cant remember what it said though.

Modern Smile in Pattaya Klang is the best one ive been to.Dont know about the prices though.Check out their website.

I paid a deposit on some land at a Thai lawyers office here about 6 years ago and when i went back to pay the balance they wouldnt accept it and didnt want to sign the land over.I think they changed their minds and decided they wanted to do something else with the plots. So i was stuck i lost my deposit and didnt have the land. Eventually after about 6 months of messing around i went into his office and threatened him and within an hour he had sent someone to my house with my deposit back. Thats the only thing that worked after trying to negotiate for 6 months.

Jacko,yes she has just started the procedure but they have told her she could wait up to 3 years before anything happens. My mrs sister wants to offload her baby now and she has said if my sister cant take him she will give him to someone else.You know what Thai women are like.
