Dunno bout pay per use lounges but if you use the fast track service you get access to a lounge in the departure side, not cheap at 2700b though (package G). http://fasttrack.in.th/products.php "40. Whose lounge Fast Track using? FastTrack currently uses Louis Tavern lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport. There are three Business Lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport, one each in concourses D, E and G." EDIT: lol, you can use the Louis Tavern lounges without the need of the fasttrack, they don't mention a price though. http://www.dayrooms-ciplounges.com/cip-lounge1.html EDIT # 2: http:/

ok so your monthly runs to 30k up country, this does not include big ticket items/insurance policies/occasional road trips and "socialising monies". Add to your 30k a month Rent/big ticket items/insurance policies/occasional road trips and "socialising monies" your well up around 75,000 a month in Pattaya......... as I said in my first post, USD 30k is definitely doable, for some. -

The OP was talking about Pattaya not upcountry, just the rent on my house+utility bills exceeds your entire monthly budget. On the other hand, my step father lives in Chanthaburi, his house is far superior to mine, his costs 3900b per month. -

The average Thai's are married to the girls we pay to fuck, the Thai's who pay the same if not more than us to fuck are not average Thai's. -
Sure, as long as your employer is agreeable to it, if they ass you though you can only claim your base salary. How ever you income tax for the year will have already been calculated so Iam not sure how they would get your monthly figure re-adjusted.
-
Yeah sorry Stinky, I had em back to front after just looking at my payslip, my vehicle allowance is taxed, not my housing allowance.
-
at-least you have dependants to claim, im dropping 27% and I get zero back, shits me to tears but fuck all I can do about it.
-
Fuck all you can do about it mate, you can however claim your wife and kids, for the missus its 30,000b and 15,000b for each kid (up to 3 under 25yrs of age), you can also claim 2000b for schooling. If it makes you feel any better Iam paying more tax here than back home in OZ......... I cant claim fuck all as Iam not married and have no kids. House allowances are taxed, vehicle allowances are not (according to my HR dept anyways and they are sticklers for doing shit legit). Check here for what you can claim. http://www.rd.go.th/publish/6045.0.html Only other option is to

meh, I can sell it for what I paid for it so no I did not bother. yep, 285/40/20 tyres dont have the best life expectancy, infact a few months ago I destroyed 2 left front tyres within a week of each other due to the fucked pot hole riddled roads, at 13,000 per tyre it gets real annoying. -

True that, here is what my 5yr old pickup costs me per year. Insurance - 15,000 Tax - 1000 Compulsory third party insurance - 1000 Tyres - 52,000 oil + filters - 10,000 Fuel - 52,000 weekly wash - 7000 general repairs for last year have been 20,000 total = 158,000 or 13,611 per month. -
