As I hoped it looks like things will settle down …...at least for a few days. Thai police yield to protesters ahead of king's birthday by Aidan Jones BANGKOK, December 3, 2013 (AFP) - Thai police abandoned their defence of the besieged government headquarters on Tuesday, allowing unruly protesters to cross barricades in a dramatic move that eased tensions ahead of the revered king's birthday. Several days of street battles between demonstrators and security forces suddenly gave way to hugs and smiles after police said they would no longer use force against protesters trying to storm Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's offices as well as their own headquarters. The sudden change in tactics came as the nation prepares on Thursday to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 86th birthday, a day normally marked in a spirit of calm and reverence for the monarch. "There's a mutual understanding that everything must be calm and orderly on this auspicious day," National Security Council chief Paradorn Pattanatabut told AFP. "It's a positive sign and talks could be held after the king's birthday. It will take time to solve the problem by negotiation," he added.

Predict the date of the knockout games in Pattaya

Yes I saw that clip about a year ago but I don't think it 'quite' fits into the 'trend' as no one was watching, more an example of completely random violence. This vid reminds us that there are some sick people in our midst. Many 'unprovoked' attacks succeed not because of a normal person's docility…….But because we are incredulous and suffer that frozen 'death' second of hesitation thinking ' What have I done? This can't be happening!' No one in the wrong place at the wrong time can protect themselves from these sneak attacks such as suffered by that poor girl hit from behind. -
Predict the date of the knockout games in Pattaya

I don't think Zsa zsa is engaging in America bashing here. He's identified a 'craze' which, whether it originated or not in America, has begun to take hold there and elsewhere. Historically youth crazes 'do' catch on. In our, ….. (old farts')…. days, from watching America's movies and listening to her music we in the UK and the rest of the world aped her youth culture. The good and the bad…..From 'Jive' through to the 'Twist', 'hola-hoops' to 'Twerking'. From Teddy-boy Zoot-suiters with bicycle chains and steel combs, right on to today's 'Shopping Mall' and vicious 'Rap culture' Now, with the internet it's even more likely that what we see in the Youtube clip above will spread. I think all Gabor is asking is how long before it's here? And I'm thinking how long then before it's replaced with something else, even worse?…….As that's the trend. Don't shoot the messenger. -
Funny you should say that…... I went to an optician. He covered one eye and asked me to read letters from top to bottom on a card stuck to a wall. "C D Q H T U X J R S L M Made in Hong Kong" I did the same with the other eye and he said, "Mr Atlas you have perfect 20/20 vision. What's your problem?" I opened the cardboard shoe box I'd brought with me and showed him an enormous turd…….."Every time I pass one of these it makes my eyes water!!"

That was pretty impressive Billions…………I'm getting one of them man-thongs. As for the English response to the Hakka at Twickers………Forget Morris dancing……Given England's broad ethnic makeup...Here's some of the team practicing their retort for tomorrow's game. http://youtu.be/QplJdxx1ais

Busy sport's W/E ………….Football friendly 3 am tonight, England v Chili and some meaningful WC qualifiers. The Sweden v Portugal match stands out and France's game. Rugby League World Cup quarters….Then Union…..the big one at 'Twickers. Having to watch that silly mating ritual/dance by the All Blacks that seems to be about shagging a sheep called 'Arty' In a 'Pan's People' flying V formation…….With eyes bulging, tonques flapping and the crouched, slapping of manly thighs they bellow, 'Cum arty, Cum arty, koraa, korraa.' This always puts the wind up the opposition who are told they have to watch because, the Kiwi's say, it's nothing whatsoever to do with trying to psych the other team out and gain an adrenaline rush for there own side. It's a cultural thing, they say and very rude and disrespectful if their opponents don't stand meekly in front to accept the challenge. Seriously it wouldn't be the same without The Hakka, but I admit too I liked the Irish approach from some years back and when other Polynesian countries give it back. F1 in Brazil….Davis Cup Final……. Anand and Carlsen's world Chess Championship matches 5 and 6. It's going to hard this week end to find time to get a shag in.

I always get a multi-entry when I renew my visa. It's job done for me. I don't usually leave more than 3 times a year so it doesn't make financial sense at all but it's just one precious page of my passport used up and nothing to worry about when, as a couple of weeks ago, i needed to arrange a quick trip to the UK for a mate's wife's funeral.

Rather than pay the Business price………. I've convinced myself that I enjoy eating my dinner with my knees on my chest in stowage!! After all, I reason it will buy me a lot of ST's. However, each time I fly I employ a cunning plan…..that more often than not…... actually works. I always travel non-peak and mid-week. I ask at 'check in' if the flight is full. If the flight is 2/3 or 3/4 full, (as was the case last week with BA), I wait in the departure lounge until I'm about the last to board. There's usually another couple of, 'Cheap Charlie Cunning Fuckers' with the same plan. We ignore each other while at the same time recognising each other's MOD. It's important to board just in front of these buggars or they will get first pick. Being just 'about' last……..I stride purposely down my aisle, and trusting in my strategy I pass my allotted seat and walk through to the back. (Flights tend to lump you all together for the stewardesses convenience and the rear of the plan will have spaces). Finding an empty row of 3 I dump myself in the middle. The middle seat claims for you as strongly as any German beach towel that these three seat are your territory and any other Cheap Charlie Cunning Fucker can…….Foxtrot Oscar! I stay in this seat for about 45 mins to put off being joined by any of the other passengers who under the ruse of going for a piss are actually scouting for a better spot. After that I lift up the arm rests collect all the pillows and lay back thinking of all those 'free' BBBJ's….ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

I did find a clip of an Asian girl on a 'T' bar but it looked too much like my first attempt at it for me to sympathize with her more than laugh at her. Some of these however…………..

Condo suits me. However a bad neighbour and that can all quickly change. Though management here have sorted out any problems for me very efficiently. I like the bumping into people in the condo's shops, the pool or, the lift. The sense of community is welcome after living in a detached house in a Buck's village for umpteen years and never really knowing anyone outside my social scene or the Squash club. New girls come and go. There's always an opportunity to flirt and build up a frisson of expectation with a few. Some unresolved but fun all the same. If you're old or infirm.....or pregnant!! Security will check on you each day if you request it. I paid off the investment of my own money 2 years ago as my ex wife had bought my first condo out of feelings of unnecessary guilt...(though she'll never know that) and the profit from the sale of that first one 2 years after I bought it was 550,000 baht. When I sell this condo I should also expect to make a reasonable profit. I calculate that over the last 2 years I've saved a conservative estimate of 400,000 baht. The main thing for me is it's mine...........and can be handed down to my son. Overall I'm glad I bought and didn't rent........... My big mistake was not buying more when they were so cheap and the pound so strong........Ce la vie!
