  1. ............And so on.........Quotes over many threads. Diogenes sees it as an, 'either/or?' You've sought and have the latter in Jacko............But I hope somewhere you also have the former.
  2. Fluck me what was that? Mayor of Hiroshima.
  3. It's a quiet day..........so. Here's 'proof' those Japanese can take an original "and make it betterar" I prefer their Yoko but Billy Preston is missing something.
  4. Like it or not, it's the way sport is going. Look at the 'English' cricket team named for the next Ashes tour. Or any English Premiership side, not so much for the English to feel proud about. Often it's not even English money involved, apart from the punters at the turnstiles. F1 is a fine example of international co-operation: engines from one country, constructors another, drivers yet another. Nevertheless it has been exciting to watch a fantastic comeback and it has certainly put this competition on the map for people who previously thought a race called 'The America's Cup' had nothing
  5. No Gary. .......Tom has shown from his interventions here that he thinks the OP needs it pointing out that Big D shamefully failed to post a link to where he'd gotten the reviews from. Masterfully he expands on this by saying..... 'if Big D had posted a link, all he would have found was a subscription to a consumer magazine', which Tom like a magician produces triumphantly for us. You can surmise for yourself whether Tom's real purpose was to make Big D look bad? Or to be helpful in some way to the OP? Or, to display his own superior data retrieval skills. I know what I think. Then h
  6. Will a motor bike fit in a briefcase? Is it portable in that way? An apples and oranges analogy...... but justify away. Back to the thread. Two years ago, from the Boots in central Festival, I bought very cheaply, a device to monitor and log my blood pressure. A yearly medical check-up at Bangkok Pattaya had, in the verbal feedback, indicated it was slightly raised. I saw 2 of the BP results on that day and they were almost perfect. I assumed 'white-coat syndrome' had raised the first one, which I didn't get to look at. So I bought the machine to monitor my BP at home over a two we
  7. I see it differently. Big D's reply may have been poorly pasted but it was an honest attempt to be helpful. It related to the OP's question. Therefore it was on topic. There was no outright abuse of others, no unfounded accusations Tom, or snide attempts to undermine or ridicule. I thought he was being unfairly treated and judged by someone more likely out of spite, than on content. I nullified his negative vote and voiced my opinion. I didn't think your offering was as useful to the OP as Big D's and I've said so. I'm aware that carrying on with this further would amount to a
  8. Red red red..............................................Ahhhh that's sooooo much better.....................Blood pressure back to normal.
  9. This was a helpful post and I can't see a reason for it attracting a red vote.

Back in your barrel Diogenes!! You can come out when you've learnt to play nicely........
  11. I read on Thai Visa that the recent crashes of planes, trains and auto buses can be put down to ghosts. Evil or disgruntled spirits deprived of their fizzy green drinks and marigolds. Since the 'Ghostess' was spotted dressed in a traditional Thai gown..(spookily like the Thai airways staff's night uniform), helping passengers off the plane....It's also come to light that a painting of a spot in the North, the site of 15 train crashes features a small obstacle on the track....Case solved then! The painting will be touched-up and fizzy drinks and marigolds for the spirits on the Fat Controll
  12. Much more of this and I predict you'll be publicly put on Torque's ignore list. Which means he can deftly, (deafly) avoid your calls to back up his accusations.
  13. On the subject of tennis..........the Pattaya open is being played at the Fitz centre Royal cliff Hotel. I was there today as it's my gym. Some of Thailands best players and a few expats thrown in. Entertaining stuff until rain stopped play. Wimbledon without the strawberries and cream. It goes on until the 15th. If you're a tennis fan you might enjoy popping along. Free entry.
  14. Just went out to panic buy some Aussie wine. 'Yellow tail' 'Linderman's' and 'Hardy's' No change yet in price........even got my usual 10 baht a bottle discount.......... 120 baht. 'You know it makes sense Rodney'
  15. So how do they price between these 3 examples?...........How do they know who bought their baht with what?
  16. Apologies...........As a Cleese fan I had been excited to open the thread but when I saw and recognised the first line as an 'old been done on here before post' I was disappointed. Hence the terseness of my comment. I should have said......Old jokes are the best jokes. However, in case anyone else might feel the same let down in expecting Cleese ............Here's some very 'old' but still 'good' Monty. PS you can see me at the beginning bowing at the great man's feet. http://youtu.be/ta1KfRX06kA
