The latest I've been there is mid Nov and the earliest is mid Feb. Never seen the peak season unless payin' a bit more for half empty hotels counts.

Never stayed there but sounds like a good deal.

Thank you. It's unfortunate that the places that I'd suggest people should avoid would make a much longer list. A couple years ago I tried Pattaya pizza and loved it. Next time I ordered it and it was very good but it had taken a step down. Next time it was sheer crap.

I can name 4 places off the top of my head that I'd go to again without any hesitation MK restaurants Au Bon Coin Cherry's The hole in the wall. (only been to Cherry's once.) There is a frakin good Thai seafood resto past Jomptien beach that I can't recall the name but I'd go there again in a heart beat (not Pupen.)

Can't say it was here. There are other forums and other ways to hear about restaurants ya know. I don't often go to the same place twice so I'm always looking for suggestions. There are recommendations on this board (and other boards) for more than one place that I find laughable tho tbh. PBG, Secrets, P&W and China Garden just off the top of my head. All of them are average at best on a good day. Dunno why someone would recommend average. Rather blaze new trails than hunt out average.

Ya know, It's not so much that so many of these places are crap it's that people recommend them to me and then............ Frack.

Flew Tiger recently from CRK TO BKK. The plane was maybe 85% full. Dunno if they are having problems filling the seats. On a side note, I was in the middle seat in a full row. There were many empty aisle and window seats around us but the stewardess wouldn't let me move to one of the unoccupied seats.

Cherry's was nice. 3 outa 4 chippy's were nice. Au Bon Coin is nice most Thai places are nice, International foods that get recommendations from gluttons seem to be the norm.

Actually, I refuse to go to the one on soi 7 due to tasteless meals and so gave the new location a shot. Will never, ever go to either one again.

Have tried 4 different places in the past 10 days for one of my fave's good ole fish 'n chips. The English way with thick chips not American type french fries. Here are the results so far. The chips Last. The Jolly Friar. They have both fries and chips on offer. 3rd P&W Jomptien 2nd The Village Chippy 1st Gooses The Fish Last. P&W Jomptien 3rd The Village Chippy 2nd The Jolly Friar 1st Gooses. Gooses wins overall but their fish portion is perhaps the smallest with the P&W having the largest portion. I'd eat the others any day except the P&W. T

Wouldn't stay at a hotel that charged a joiner fee. Having said that, it's only the high end ones that do so you blokes that stay there can afford it. 5555555555555
