  1. Decent razor blades are cheaper in Big C than what I can usually get 'em for in Canada. Wouldn't touch the rice picker ones meself. Oh, and I've been goin' grey since I was 22.
  2. and where you live. I pay $1900 CDN per year for the most basic coverage in Ontario. They penalize me about 30% for my neighbourhood and the fact that I moved and decided to not have insurance on my car that was sitting idle for 6 months. I have a fantastic claims record and driving profile otherwise
  3. cant find Nivea on this site but here are our prices for similar product (add 13% tax to these prices) (one dollar is about 30 baht) http://www.londondru...s&Sort=0&Page=1
  4. Funny, eating a Big Mac in Thailand got me back to visit Raunchy Ronnie's a couple of times. Once was in Chicago where a Big Mac set was about $6.50 (195 baht) and in Toronto it was about $7.50 (225 baht) all in. If memory serves it is 119 baht in the LoS. Sorry, no up to date McChicken prices.
  5. I can buy a bottle of imported booze cheaper in Patts than I can in Canada. JD & Jim Beam anyway.
  6. I haven't found deodorants and other similar imported products like toothpaste and hair colouring etc. to be more expensive in the LoS for identical goods.
  7. Ha. I unpacked my bags and my cards were deffo the centre of attention.
  8. unless you get paid in US$ you will be paying a commission @ your bank (2 1/2 % maybe) to buy US$. I buy US$ to go to the Phills because the exchange rates work in my favour (in other words they screw us canucks) but I don't for the LoS.
  9. I always have my DL with me and have never been asked to produce my PP unless im checking into a hotel or cashing tcheques.
  10. well, they better get used to it as the new 50's are due out in March. I'm sure they see new bills from all different countries on a regular basis.
  11. Was in Patts is Sept and was on a bit of a tight budget. I went to all the new gogo's and the first thing I did was ask for a price list wherever I went. Many of them had small drafts @ fair prices so that's what I ordered even tho it's not my drink of choice. This last trip was my cheapest yet(
  12. I had a no show from a couple of Mango massage girls on my first night. Is that comparable?
  13. friendly staff. no probs with service, prices nor times. no food related probs. Thai food is sub par and western food similar to Denny's if that. I know why it get revisited but the food is not why. PS, have the fixed the death drop near the men's toilets yet?
  14. was never very good. dunno where the positive comments come from really.
  15. Im gunna try Cafe Uno on my next trip as it gets so many votes. Globetrotter used to be my favourite until i tried "Pattaya Pizza" PATTAYA PIZZA oops, whilst researching fer this post I've discovered that Cafe Uno is closed and now there is a restaurant called "World of Sports." the initial reviews make it sound like its not as good as the old Cafe Uno.
  16. AU BON COIN been a few times never been disappointed and the prices are reasonable in my opinion.
  17. went there once a few trips ago. saw the prices and decided to just have a bottled water and yeah, the band was crap
  18. what i've found to be odd is the seat belts have been removed in many of the taxis
