  1. Jolly friar. Small dory (not that small at all) 60 baht Small chips (again, a decent size) 40 baht. I will try TB's as it does seem to get decent reviews
  2. Smoking in Gogos doesn't really bother me (much) but I worry about the staff that are exposed to it day in and day out. Surely, that's the real intent behind the laws.
  3. Went to Rutnin when I had viral conjunctivitis and the visit including medication was
  4. Soi 6/1 no wonder I've never seen it 555555555555555555
  5. Was in Swampy monday around 9am (coming home) and Immigration was a breeze tho I can't say there were a lot of immigration officers.
  6. Flying out on the 9th. I was sitting with Chris and we said hi to each other but I didn't identify myself as a boardie.
  7. Was there again tonight. The girls probably have decided to take a long weekend with the pending closure.
  8. Maybe I shouldn't have used her as a salt lick for my tequila shots then huh?

  10. was there last night and the line up has indeed improved by a fair margin
  11. Was there at the same time. Spankys was full of average girls at best. One dance rotation and I was gone.
  12. just haggle them down to 1000. they will balk for about 1 minute and then accept it. BTW, many Patts taxis will go to Swampy fer 800 so if ya add in an airport terminal fee there is no reason a metered taxi wouldn't do it for 1000 all in.
  13. I was a fan of Pattaya Pizza from two previous trips but last nights pie was tasteless. They must be going cheap on the ingredients as this place has slipped many notches IMO.
  14. I just did a stroll down soi post office (13/2) and didn't see it.
  15. Just an aside. I took a mini van from Hua Hin to Patts fer 400 baht. They drop of on S Pattaya rd about 800 meters E of Soi Buakhao on the left hand side
  16. Had about a half a dozen meals @ the P&W on Soi 7 and not one of them was what I'd call good. Let's hope the Jomptien location is better. That fish does look nice tho.
  17. Im in Thailand now. Any recommendations for a copy phone ???
  18. I was queued up waiting my turn in a restaurant in Bkk when a "lady" tried to jump in front and place her order ahead of me and others.. I piped up and insisted that I was next and the cashier stopped taking the woman's order and took mine. If I had to guess as to the woman's nationality I'd have to say she was Lebanese. There are rude fuckers everywhere from all corners of the world and they know exactly what they are doing. Having said that, I hate Russians. Always have, always will.
  19. I think that was sunday the 11th with the rains starting on the saturday night IIRC,
  20. Apparently Thai airways does have 2 versions of the 777-200 including the ER (extended range) which carries up to 300 passengers and 2 versions of the 777 300 including the ER. They no doubt have their business plan but they most certainly don't have to stop for fuel as the opening post indicates. Extra cost in landing fees as well as fuel for a second take off must be quite expensive but perhaps adding passengers that get on and off at the stopover is what make the change worthwhile. The aircraft itself isn't the issue. In fact the 777's in all configurations carry more passengers than the A3
