300 baht because my rental co.(Thai) didnt pay the lic fee. The cop didnt care that it wasn't my bike, didn't care that the co. was renting unlicensed bikes. He could've charged the owner twice, Once for the fine and once for the lic fee but he had a sucker tourist with cash in hand. He wouldn't get a share in the lic fee so why would he even bother? What would a cop do back home? Throw the book at the owner and give the poor renter a break but no, not in Thailand. Cash money on the spot (they had an empty beer box full of cash no foolin'). I paid up and was allowed to continue on my unlicens

Rented bikes here for a total of maybe 10 days now. Was pulled over twice for no reason. They are just looking for cash. End of.

Just started to look around a bit in the gogo's in Patts and there seems to be a lot fewer non smoking signs than I recall seeing in the past.

Found 'em at the "liquor" store on the corner of second road and Pattaya Klang. 25 baht each.

Took the 2nd class sleeper to Chiang Mai and didn't see a western style toilet.

from what I gather the first class sleeper cars (bought used from Japan) have western style toilets.

did seem odd that no aircon was available mid day. for an aircon non sleeper ya need a DRC (deisel rail car) that leaves BKK @ 08:05 or 22:50. This chart says there were sleepers available with aircon at 13:00 (S) but that wasn't the case and there was no restaurant car either (R.)

I was there last night around 8ish. Cold Chang was 60 baht and one obvious fl at the bar. She wasn't too bad looking but had a few too many miles on her for my taste.I asked for a glass for my beer and didn't get a chilled one like guys buying pitchers did. Oh well. Not a fan or the food there so I just order the fries @ 60 baht. They came hot and fast but weren't any good. They tasted like they had freezer burn or something, kinda a wooden stale taste. Did the overnight to Chaing Mai.. Was nice, Did the day trip back and it was a nightmare. Too much air con and the ticket claimed the journey was 2 hours shorter than what it was in reality. Too much to handle after 10 hours or so.

yes. I used their form. not getting responses in the norm in Thailand IMO. I think most staff just delete them because they cant understand them and don't want to leave evidence that they aren't doing their jobs.

Emailed D apartments a few days ago with no response. Called them just now and they say they have rooms @ 1400. There is no 1400 price on their web page just 600,1000,1100,1200.1300 and 1500. somehow I dont think they were offering me a discount on the 1500 room ,lol,
