  1. Yes Bell have been going for as long as I can remember.......Was using them from Superserck apartments on the undeveloped 3rd road back in 1994 and probably before as well....
  2. Yes there was a Thai bus that used to run 3 times a day from Don Maung to Pattaya... Caught it more than a few times after once to often being somewhat scared of the antics of the Bell Bus drivers.
  3. Go Pattaya Park and swim against the current...... Best exercise you can get.
  4. I was completely pissed off this morning before reading this.... Classic...
  5. Add to the list at same departure dates..... Singapore at 540 pounds Cathay Pacific at 550 pounds.... Now that is very cheap for those two......! Cheapest non stop was BA/QF at 738 pounds....
  6. Further to your post yesterday and my PM was it your intention to run 4 open trading windows from the Dongle connection ?? I would add that whilst I found the Edge connection excellent for Spreads, as soon as I opened for example Pattaya 105fm than the speed was not steady..... I normally keep Reuters financials open at home with broadband but found that as it constantly updates I was losing speed via Edge. Just a question of balance I guess. When trading I just kept a single tab open ?? If you get a decent landline set up though, shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Ais (one to call)....around 800 baht a month unlimited.... Have sent you PM also re your message. PT
  8. Interesting that some are saying that Customs jurisdiction applies even after exiting the main doors to the Airport..... Where does the boundary end ?? On that basis that you can be stopped outside of the airport than whats to stop Customs following individuals to Pattaya or wherever ?? Cant help imagining that these individuals on the concourse could well be pulling a scam ?? Would imagine some quality ID could easily be knocked up to facilitate a scam ??
  9. Just a pity Spurs dropped 2 points yesterday..... Big one next week at the Etihad but Spurs without Adebayor so opportunity for Pav or Defoe to come into the side.....
  10. I was in the centre of Buriram couple of hundred metres from the Irish Bar so in a heavily populated area, so was pleasantly surprised....... In fact in the Irish Bar, Brian had an open connection to his Wi-Fi and I couldn't see any difference whatsoever when opening/closing positions....
  11. Further to Jackos previous response I can say I operated Spread Trading accounts in Buriram last summer for 2 months using no more than an Edge connection and a dongle..... Never once did I lose connection or get any lag on trades.......I'm not on dealer referall and trades were instantaneous. I could have been using my connection back in the UK it was that good...
  12. Well there is certainly a quota on booze and fags and no doubt electricals etc, but my point was than in 20 years of trips Ive never seen anyone searching.
  13. I was having a disagreement with one of the Moderators on Thaivisa who claims at least one in ten people are searched after picking up your bags from the Carousel..... I had to take exception as I have never to my knowledge even seen anyone from customs inbound, let alone be searched !! (maybe they are indeed there !) They claimed they are constantly checking for Alcohol and Cigs rather than anything more sinister. Any of you guys been stopped over time ??
  14. They were all available yesterday, and checked again today and all still available. All online via travelsupermarket.com

  17. Just pricing up a 2 month trip starting 1st March and really surprised at the prices available with very short transit times, out of Heathrow.... Jet- 460 pounds Oman-470 pounds Qatar-477 pounds with numerous flight options Sri Lankan-488 pounds but extended transit.. At those prices Qatar it is.... Source was Travelsupermarket although am going to run a few other sites as well....
  18. I posted on I think another thread that this Sapphire Place was very poor according to couple of my friends who had gone out of there way to try it out...... Needs to get its act together as being somewhat off the beaten track needs to establish itself pronto..... When next in town will try it out myself.
  19. Papps have had a look and they are fair old size for the money..... The only issue I would imagine is how good if any is the noise suppression from the traffic outside ??
  20. Monthly rate for electric is very good compared to many others at 4.5 baht a unit..
