"No problem sir can fix that now for you.......Can I have credit card......Charge is 30 pounds" Brand new 3 days old-fucking joke. Needless to say I declined......
  2. Ok Ken thanks..... Will do later today.......at the moment am using Chrome which on the surface looks very similar to FF, but trying to use IE brought back all the reasons I swithched to FF in first place
  3. Internet Explorer was default browser with chrome loaded from factory.....Both work fine. The obvious answer is just to use Chrome but as I installed FF and it worked normally, until shut down and then wouldn't open on restart ??
  4. Have uninstalled including bookmarks etc (which the first time I didn't) and add ons but reinstalled, with no success. Checked work off line but thats ok. As Internet explorer and Chrome are working perfectly it must be setting somewhere ?? Cleared Cache and Cookies.
  5. Thanks for reply but the issue you make re Firewall is what Im trying to check HOWEVER not being too bright on PC's actually finding out how to do it, is another matter ! Theres Mcfee anti virus which I assume forms part of the firewall ?? How do I check.....Spent hours last night trying to suss it ??
  6. Using a new laptop I downloaded Firefox and it worked perfectly fine. Toshiba Satellite 660. Closed the laptop down at the end of the day, and on restarting it will not open any websites on firefox. IE the default browser works perfectly fine, as does Chrome which was pre loaded as well. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail......There is a Mcfee anti virus which I hadn't activated as yet (only got laptop yesterday )as hadnt had time to sit down with the laptop...... I haven't touched any settings to my knowledge ?? Any suggestions ?? Cheers PT
  7. Were the seats still 34" pitch in economy on the Airbus, or were they smaller and included that infuriating foot rest which further reduces pitch ??
  8. Been asked for my mine probably around 10 times on road trips between Pattaya and Khorat within road blocks, but only once in Pattaya after minor traffic infringement..... Told him the passport was in the house on the Darkside, and he never mentioned it again.
  9. Used to buy 20 or so Jacko. Did get stopped just once in late 90's with bag full of shirts including footie shirts.....55 in total Custom guy as he's pulling them out asked if there was anything in the bag, other than shirts.....No I answered. Tells me to put them all back in and sends me on my way !! Obviously my innocent face.......
  10. Caught shipping that amount and serious investigations start....... 20 kilos shipped to different addresses in UK might get most through...... Candys as mentioned was the shop I always used to buy from.....quality was always very good.
  11. Tell you what I was in Delhi airport on I think it was 12th July of last year and the Dreamliner was on I think its world tour for first time (correct me if wrong) It came in to Water cannon from both sides.......I've never seen so many people on an apron after it pulled up. The Indians were all over it like a rash........no security nothing !!
  12. Me and Condoms are no longer an item......
  13. Yeah but that $7 price at Dubai was 20 years ago Jacko !!
  14. Out of Heathrow return they are coming up repeatadly around the 550 mark re economy..... Have never seen Singapore this consistently low ??
  15. Having only ever travelled Morchit to Khorat Bus Station previously I was wondering if others had travelled the Buriram route VIP or first class ?? Any specific carriers you would recommend ?? I did actually travel in reverse from Buriram last September but I got dropped off in the middle of what looked like a shopping centre, rather than Morchit !! One I'd never find the place again if I tried, and two I'd rather travel point to point knowing exactly where I am !!
  16. 4 quid in Garfunkels in T4 last summer..
  17. Yeah just keep to one beer or you'll lose all your saving at Dubai prices..... I can remember about 7 dollars a pint, 20 years ago so christ knows what it is today !!
  18. Not harsh Jacko... He's advertised for years and years with his blurb that he will visit patients at home.......The Darkside is not that far ??
  19. Absolutely bloody useless....!! I developed some fever in 2004 really bad out at our house in Soi Nernplabwan......Despite advertising home visits when my wife at the time spoke to him, he complained that Soi Nernplabwan was too far away, and just to go to the hospital..... In the end she called an ambulance ( just 200 baht !) from the Pattaya Inter and stayed there one night...
  20. Looking to book Jet Airways via Westeast travel for 2 month trip in March.... Flight cost 167 pounds Taxes/fees 316 pounds !!! Aren't taxes meant to be going up 1st April as well ??
  21. Too far out of the way.... Taxi fares start to add up over the course of the day making any accomodation saving, totally pointless.
  22. As I personally like a break halfway I would suggest the Gatwick departure..... Assuming you're on Emirates enjoy the brief transit in Dubai.
  23. The Thai bus used to be booked from the offices just opposite to the Carlton Hotel on soi 5 just to the right as you come out of the hotel for the return trip.... From memory the Thai Tourist Police office was next door...... I used to sit at the bars to the right just waiting for the bus to turn up in abject misery !!
