BKKBOB gets this one right-BKK is IMHO better than Pattaya. I always take a couple of days in BKK, then move on to Pattaya, and end up in BKK for a few days before returning to the states. Pattaya is nice, but for the shopping you can't beat Bangkok and there are always things to go and see during the day. Just my 2 baht worth. Jimmy

I always have the pocket rocket for the tg with me and the "intimidator" dildo and it is no problem. Never thought to bring a nurse or school girl outfit as I am not a dress-em-up sort of guy. Don't worry, anything you need can be gotten there. NWA is the only carrier I can take that can get me to LOS, so I've been on more than a few flights with this airline. (They must get all their flight attendants from Milwaukee cause they're all chunky just like the women here, and generally mean spirited too. ha) Don't know how specifically the miles for cash thing works, but do know the restrictions will be MANY. I cashed in 60k for the January trip next, and had to ask them for seat availability and take my vacation days at their behest to get a seat. Also, forget an upgrade on the segment to Narita-I told them every time I went to LOS that they could name the number of miles they wanted for an upgrade to Japan, and they refused every time. (I think they like to see me squirm in misery for 12 hours trying to get my fat arse comfortable in that coach seat, the sadists!) Good luck Kevin. Jimmy

I had a feeling that something was up a few weeks ago when Northwest(the biggest affiliate of KLM) made Delta an associate in their mileage perks program. I hope this does not push NWA prices higher, but a clue that this is happening is the failure to significantly reduce fares to Europe after Labor Day as is usually the case. Jimmy

Travel light-do not pack too much, you can buy anything you need for much less than you can at home. Do yourself a favor and just have a carry on in the plane. That way you can avoid going to the carousel for a bag, and you can clear customs and immigration quickly and get your cab to BKK or Pattaya. Have a great trip. Jimmy

I always read reports about how the Nana Hotel is a shit hole. I stayed there several times and I only saw one cockroach. I didn't freak out-I just crushed it. However, the carcass was still there at the end of my stay when I checked out. Jimmy

Yep, If you've a mind to spend good cash checking on a tg, then go for it-but you gotta keep one thing in mind. These girls have to make a living, and they are not going to the Big C to become a clerk in a store. They will do just what they did before you met them-go with farangs for the cash. Is it painful to think about a tg with whom you feel you made a "connection?" ABSOLUTELY! But you are wherever you are, and they are in Pattaya doing what they must, and to pine to the point that it totally interrupts your life, will only give you untold angst. Live the fantasy whilst you are in LOS, and do your level best to let it go until you are there again. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Jimmy

Dennis, I found the Promanade to be allright. The sheets were indeed clean(although when the Hoover got done extracting my DNA they were a bit soiled) and the staff were, if not extraordinarily outgoing, certainly turned a blind eye to me taking two tilacs up to my room on two occasions, and that was all that I needed from them. I never had anything to eat there(save for the girls I brought in myself) so I cannot vouch for the restaurant. Regards, Jimmy

Avoid this place at all costs! The room was 1250/night, and had cockroaches and was generally dirty. The staff was indifferent and the place looks generally run down. I stayed one night, and then moved across the soi to the Promanade Hotel, which was clean, professionally run, and was only 1000 per night. Jimmybb

Tangent, If I were looking for a legit hook-up as opposed to what the rest of the whoremongers and I are looking for in LOS, I would not stay at a hotel like the Nana whilst you are in BKK getting to know this lady. I would probably stay out of the NEP area and maybe stay, for the short term, in an area that is not part of the bar girl and gogo scene. Just a suggestion. Jimmy

I got treated poorly by the desk clerk who screwed up my reservations and I checked out after one night. Other friends have played "musical rooms" and were told to change rooms more than one time during a stay there. That is total bull shit. The prop apparently doesn't give a hoot if you choose to re-book for another tripl It is very well located to the action, but I wouldn't go there again. Jimmy

I'm staying at the RG this coming may for the 4th time. I'm not so interested in the cost(but 1350 seems very reasonable), but I like having the separation of the bedroom from the living room. I just love getting down to business on the couch as a prelude to a shower and what is to follow in the bedroom. In addition, i don't sleep well, and I like to lay on the couch after I've been satisfied in the bedroom and watch tv and have a heineken whilst my tg sleeps in the bedroom. Also, if I get a wild hair on my arse, I can always sneak down and take a baht bus to a beer bar and ogle the talent there while my girl friend dreams about how nice it was to have coitus with as hansum man like me.
