Purchasing Tickets via Booking Companies- Expedia
Goldpanner replied to jacko's topic in Airline Discussion
OK Cool, but your claim will be against Expedia Thailand. But just thinking, many moons back I had a Business class ticket with Thai that I had to cancel one leg of the trip and they and Opodo refused a refund.I had too many other things going on at the time to even care. Once again it all goes down to the class of any level ticket. -

OK I have just reread your original post (My apologies for not reading it fully in the first place) and you can only deal with Expedia Thailand as it is a separate company, legally from Expedia EU. Your contract is with Expedia Thailand and not Finnair or Expedia UK or EU With respect to Air tickets, with most if not all cheapo economy tickets there is a Fare rule that the fare will be Non Changeable-Non Refundable. Generally you can get a slightly more expensive Economy ticket if you ask, which will allow cancelation or rerouting, but those on Skyscanner are the cheapest tickets with no refu -

Dont let them piss you about any more. Do a County Court Summons online, that will get their attention. You have to send them a Letter Before Action first giving them maybe 2 weeks to pay you or you will take legal action, if nothing then Online summons, it costs a few quid but you get that back. Go for it. I should have done that with my claim against BA but I let them bulshit me for too long before I issued a Claim online and they paid. -
Thats where I went wrong, arguing the toss with BA as they piled lie upon lie. Even when I showed them incontrovertible evidence of their lies they still contnued lying. I issued a County Court Summons and they paid up within 24 hours claiming a 'Mistake'. And the CAA? not worth a fart, toothless setup pretending to set the rules.
-
£25 to complain now? is that a delaying tactic or not?. It will be cheaper to go straight to County Court Action. BA always pays out. The CAA dont give a shit even when told BA broke 5 of their rules on my flight back from BKK several years back. Even when I won my case and compensation against BA the CAA just didnt give a fuck. I just feel sorry for our Olympic Athletes coming back from Rio on BA. Poor sods, and an ancient old 747 too.

At the moment Skyscanner is showing Thai in january at £484

BA Replacing Meals with Chocolate Bars !
Goldpanner replied to Goldpanner's topic in Airline Discussion
They are using aging 777's now with no legroom whatsoever plus an extra row of seats jammed in effectively blocking the overwing exit which they were allowed to get away with. I'm, also not incredibly happy about my last flight both outbound and inbound being served by mincing, foul tempered shirtlifters who jusy didnt give a damn about anything. When I refused the salad they offered and I said they could give me one of the crew meals instead, the fairy just laughed and walked off. -

And just another point the CAA dont give a damn about BA breaking rules either. I made a formal complaint about BA breaking rules in Bangkok and after 5 times completeing their online complaints form I got a standard reply and have never heard from them again. -
BA Replacing Meals with Chocolate Bars !

That sir, sounds utterly disgusting. Now a Vinegar sandwich or sugar sandwich or preferably marmite. But how do you keep a jelly on top of the peanut butter without it wobbling off or do you put the peanut butter on top of the wobbling jelly?? -
British Airways will now serve passengers just one fun-size chocolate bar instead of a meal on long-haul flights, in an attempt to save money. Hungry passengers who used to get a proper sandwich and snack before landing blasted the measly offering last night. Cabin crew still serve a main meal earlier in flights but have been left squirming at what has replaced the second one. Previously, passengers would awake from a seven hour trans-Atlantic flight to a small sandwich, but now penny-pinching bosses have given strict instructions customers can only have one mini choc bar each. Norwegian Wings - budget airline flies Europe to los.
Goldpanner replied to Butch's topic in Airline Discussion
Pretty much the same as GermanWings have been doing for some months now. You pay for everything, luggage food drinks the lot but the flight is very cheap. I mean to try it out next year, I sleep on most flights so just have a godd dinner before the flight. Then again I remember flying Pan AM to NY year back when they were charging for headsets.
