  1. I'm looking for a competent key cutter in Pattaya. Hopefully a store rather than a kiosk on the sidewalk....one key I need duplicating is a safe key and another is a vintage automobile key...neither are your normal style where a blank exists...these might need a fair bit of skill to manufacture. All advice and suggestions welcomed! TIA
  2. Here's a good YouTube video of the Russian girls passing out flyers. The guy who made it must have been using a hidden camera...no way would the Russians smile if they thought they were being photographed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIK6qX9QuMk

Six women working without work permits were taken from Moulin Rouge with a further 22 arrested at Crazy Russian Girls. Down the station background checks were run on all the women with 25 found to be working illegally. All were detained and face charges and deportation with the club owners also looking at court for illegally employing foreigners. Raids on Russian go-go bars are nothing new with several losing their entire staffs for anywhere from a day (Moulin Rouge, Galaxy) to permanently (B-52), depending on the “agreement” they have in place with authorities to allow foreign women to dance semi-nude in Thailand when work permits for doing so are impossible to get. Moulin Rouge was last busted on July 28, 2013. That theatrical crackdown netted the arrests of 11 Russian employees, including nine dancers, who were threatened with deportation for working illegally or employing illegals. Established for nearly 10 years, Moulin Rouge is hardly a secret to police. In 2008, the “misunderstanding” that led to the raid was quickly sorted out, as the eight supposedly illegal dancers were released by the end of the night and the bar was operating as usual the following night. This time around it’s unlikely anything will be “sorted” so easily with a nationwide crackdown against human trafficking and the current wave of raids on Pattaya bars and clubs in a bid to weed out illegals and visa overstayers. Mention here of "human trafficking" so perhaps this is more serious than previous raids? But then if this was to be a game-changer,then why leave out Galaxy and XO? Might be business as usual, but maybe things are changing and there might be closures?
  4. Thai had a 460 GBP fare but that vanished without trace a month ago.Now offering 520 for 30 day return trip....still a steal. Thai are giving 30 kg baggage plus 10 extra if you join their free Orchid flyer club making it a good proposition.
  5. You might need to explain that to our transatlantic readers! Ronnie Corbetts daughter has a shop called Four Candles less than a minutes walk from a property I own in Brighton.None of the local kids get it either.
  6. "From 3:00 to 4:30 there is 50-percent off and you also get free bread sticks, a warm soft bread baguette accompanied with a bowl of what looks like olive oil with some black stuff in it." The "black stuff" is Balsamic vinegar. Which reminds me of a classic UK television series of a few decades ago :
  7. It's getting late here in the UK.....will finish it off tomorrow.
  8. I'm attaching a couple of hundred photos from Pattaya, taken over the last three or four years and chosen at random. I've got thousands on my hard drive, and no-one but myself gets to see them,so going to change that by uploading a bundle tonight. I keep telling MM I'll post some,so I'm finally true to my word! All are processed in some way....often I see the photo as raw material that I then change,or play with. Passes the time and helps me re-live Pattaya experiences when I get back home. The host programme I use is Photoshop, and then use plug-in filters to dabble. Some are the given presets, others just experiments. I could spend ages knocking up some amazing creations but these are simple ones. Some effects I like are ghosting the image, double exposures, overlays, light leaks, splash colour, ageing, distressing, blurring, tints and chromatic aberrations. I sometimes pop a photo in several editing programmes, and see what results come out the other side. Often I save these altered states and use them as screensavers, and here are some of them. Please don't criticise that they are over-processed! I'm not trying to portray realism. Right....here goes (in no particular order) :
  9. Bubble and squeak without loads of cabbage isn't bubble and squeak. Although it's origins are recycling leftovers, any restaurant having it on the menu isn't doing that (hopefully) but rather making from scratch, so just serving up essentially mashed potatoes is inexcusable..cabbage,carrots and onions must be in the mix. The last portion of bubble I had in Patts was at Little Wonder in the arcade where the steakhouses operate from, opposite Mike's Mall ....they served it cold for some inexplicable reason...was that intentional or just careless? Either way I haven't been back there.
  10. loads of ED pills are produced in China....so would be imported into Thailand.
  11. Spot on. I used to own a sexshop in the UK and still have good contacts in the industry. All the so-called "herbal" ED pills contain the very same ingredients as Viagra etc...in fact, often at higher levels. The sample they send to Customs or a testing lab is herbal but the product that is shipped and sold is chemically consistent with Viagra and the like.Otherwise it wouldn't work.
  12. Feeding the lambs from a bottle looks cute! Never seen that at a market before.
  13. I'm not convinced about the potato variety argument. Some restaurants have used the same explanation in regard to the chips (fries) they serve and yet other restaurants produce the same quality as is the norm in western Europe. Palmers in Soi 13/4 serves up exceptionally delicious chips...so if they can do it,why not others? Next time I'm in Pattaya I'll try the roast there....pretty sure the potatoes will be what I'm used to in the West.
