  1. Hello, I just returned from a golfing outing in Syracuse New York. I really suck by the way :). I was teeing off on a par 4 and slice. :'( Not my natual slice, a bigger slice that didn't go anywhere. I noticed the club head was very loose, I twisted it off. I've golfed a few times in the past 6 years and here in Las Vegas it is dry and very hot. I was wondering anyone know how to repair a golf head? Would superglue work? Keep in mind everything I do is halfass :) (just kidding). I would think superglue would work fine, but it is graphite. http://www.freelancerbar.com/pics/zzmem/
  2. I wish, I 'm still tryin to get a job there ;D ;D (just kidding). But you are close. I kind of like downtown Las Vegas. Some of those hotels Downtown you can get a room for less then $20.00 on certain nights.
  3. Thanks for the info, I will have to book it 6 months in advance. When I return home for Christmas I should have enough for the free trip, I also collect NWA miles with my MCI long distance. I am going to call them and ask them when I can use the miles. I am thinking next June I am going to take a leave of absense from my job for about a month, I will give my boss the exact dates after I book the free trip (my boss hates me anyway) :). I'll fly Eva until then, the Flight Attendants are much cutier ;D I get free upgrades to Evergreen Deluxe and I like Eva's arrival times into Bangkok (11a
  4. Not surprised, these airlines are so cheap. I just returned from New York on Continental. When i flew into Syracuse i was on a very small plane, which actually wasn't that bad. But these airlines are so cheap they only gave me a half soda and small bag of pretzels. The only good thing I got out of flying this week was I collect miles with NWA and continental is their partner, 5000 more and I get a free trip to LOS. ;D ;D And the price was great, $350.00 roundtrip, kind of like a sore dick can't beat it. But I normally I fly Eva to LOS. cheers kj
  5. Once again I have to agree with Baz ;D ;D, Nana is the place. The last time I didn't even make it out the door before I met this hottie. ;D ;D I only stay at the Nana if I am getting late, like when I fly NWA. But usually I fly Eva and get in at 11am. I've never been disapointed with the Nana, and that is coming from a guy who works at one the nicest hotel/casinos in Las Vegas. :) kj
  6. They use the MD-11 from Taipei to Bangkok sometimes. I have flown in evergreen deluxe on the MD-11 before. The plane is slightly smaller. Speaking of smaller planes, I just flown on a small Embraer (continental) from Newark to Syracuse. Pretty cool plane just very very small. But back to Eva the Md-11 deluxe class is identical to the 747, just a smaller plane.
  7. Don't forget your rubbers ;D ;D
  8. Mrt, Cool, I like Eva because they have a 5:30pm flight out of Bangkok which I like. The layover is too long in Taiwan and I would of gotten in LAX too late. So I was able to go thru San Fran. and get back in Vegas at 11:30pm. :) KJ
  9. I am starting to think the deal i got sucked :). Mrt, are you taking Southwest to LAX? Southwest has some great deals out of Vegas, the last I saw it was $29.00 each way. That is what I usually do but I did it over the phone and they included the two Vegas flights. Also did you get bonus miles for booking online? I am all set with my ticket, I have all my seats saved also. cheers kj :)
  10. Smitty Hello, yes I know Indian Springs. I am born and raised in Syracuse, New York. I am a Syracuse Basketball fan, I went to Thailand April 8th-April 21st. I took Eva so I left Taiwan (for Bangkok) at 8:30am (April 8th) Taiwan time which is 5:30pm pacific coast time (April 7th), which is also the approximate time of the start of the Championship game between Syracuse and Kansas. What I am saying is I missed the entire game, when I landed I went straight to the internet cafe. I was very happy, it helps having the best player in the country. I will post my story in a few days, I was
  11. That sucks, well except having the child live with him. I really lucked out. In Nevada 1 year or less is an annulment. The court told her what she came into the marriage with she leaves with, she got nothing. I am so happy I never had a kid with her, that would suck. I the end will probably have the last laugh, she is most likely going to be deported back to Thailand. She is a non-bargirl but sometimes I don't think there is much of a difference. She was here on a K-1 fiance visa, I am always writing letters to the BCIS (formerly INS). On a up note, I discovered the LOS so all the mo
  12. That is a great deal. Originally I wanted to book online but I wanted to #1 fly out of Vegas and #2 fly thru San Francisco on the way home (that way I can take the 5:30pm out of Bangkok, LAX flight has a too long of a layover in Taiwan). I get back to Vegas around 11pm and work at 3am, I like to use every minute of my vacation. I booked over the phone and mailed in a cashiers check, I just got my tickets yesterday ;D ;D. Eva is a great airline, I like the service, the cute attendants. I like the evergreen lounge and I like getting in Bangkok at 11am. Unfortunately Southwest does not g
  13. Exactly, and if you have kids you are really F***ed. Guys work their ass off, take care of these bitches (some of) then they go crazy and take everything. The vasectomy is usually cheaper. Thank god I never got my wife pregnant, thank god I got married in Nevada. I am F***ing lucky. I really miss LOS. :'( kj
  14. Just walk down Soi Yodsak and look at all the empty buildings that were once Beer Bars. September 11th didn't help either. good luck kj
  15. Soi_6_slider: Thanks, sometimes I look for the different prices at different Airports like LAX then take a southwest to LAX. I know Southwest goes to Chicago (one of the airports) and I know United goes to Bangkok. Southwest is great, it has saved me bunch over the past few years. The only thing I have to recheck my luggage but that's OK. Hope that helps some. KJ
  16. Soi_6_slider Hello did you ever try to book out of LA and take a southwest to LAX? That saves some money sometimes. I do that sometimes, I just have to recheck my luggage. I called the airline directly (Eva) and saved money. Eva air, 1-800-695-1188. The only thing is if you book on Eva.com you can get bonus miles. But calling them is helpful sometimes and they can work with you. If you book over the phone you have to mail it in. One more thing not related to this, you live in Jax. FL, when the NFL Jaguars first came out they had a different logo, is that correct? I heard they got
  17. Not bad. It is all timing. I have noticed if you book out of different city the prices can be slightly lower. San fran instead of LAX is cheaper sometimes. LAX instead of Vegas (southwest to lax) is cheaper. I track the airfares on my yahoo.
  18. $660.00 plus tax is about what I paid, that's a great deal. Kind of like a sore dick you can't beat it :). I fly out of LA but on the way back they have me going thru San Francisco so I can make it back to Vegas to work at 3am. When I am on vacation I use every minute. The only that sucks is the 14 hour flight to Taiwan but I took 2 xanax and 2 benedril, 1 melitonin last time I slept 10 hours straight. But i wouldn't encourage the xanax, the benedril and meltonin are ok. When you are checking in at LAX ask them for the evergreen lounge passes. It is really nice especially in Taiwan. Th
  19. jacksonj You might want to call Eva air directly at 1-800-695-1188. Sometimes they have better deals then evaair.com. I did that a few days ago and got a great deal. I had to because I fly out of vegas. The only thing you get more bonus miles when you book at evaair.com
  20. Dave, All I did was call Eva Air at 1-800-695-1188. Then I told them when I want to go. The woman on the phone said the online price is not always the same as over the phone price. It was pretty much the same price out of LAX but they included Vegas to LA. If I was to leave one day later it was over $1000.00 (weekend) so i think it pays to look on the internet and see what days are the best price. Also I looked at the times on evaair.com and saw LAX got in about 2 hours later than San- Francisco. LAX does not have too many late flights into Vegas and I work at 3am. Sometimes I will
  21. I just booked on Eva Air for $641.00 plus tax ($700.00 max. total) out of Vegas. I have 32,000 miles on Eva so I can upgrade to Evergreen Deluxe on the two long haul flights. I transfer in LAX and Taipei and on to Bangkok. On the way home I go thru San Francisco. LAX does not have any late flights (after 11pm) to Vegas so I booked my return through San Francisco. What I like about Eva is they leave Bangkok at 5:30 pm. Eva air has some great deals right now. I booked it over the telephone because I needed a flight out of Vegas. 1-800-695-1188. Usually I take a Southwest to LAX but $641.
  22. It is definitely worth it. I always get the upgrade on the long haul flights (LAX-Taipei-LAX) to deluxe class. It is very nice I know when I go to economy from Taipei to BKK it sucks. I never paid for the upgrade it has always been free for me. But for $150.00 it is worth it. I found it is cheaper to book on Eva's website then Expedia, Orbitz or travelosity. You should join the evergreen club. Everytime I travel I always have enough miles to upgrade for the next trip. I think you earn more miles when you are flying in the higher class.
  23. Mrt, Thanks, I have 52,000 miles with NWA and very close to my free flight. When I go home to Syracuse N.Y. in the end of June on Continental (northwest partner) I should be close to my free flight. With the free flights they make you book so far ahead of time. Probably early 2004. I will probably end up going EVA in early September for $650.00 out of LA. Plus another $60.00 for Southwest to LA. That way I can get my free upgrade to deluxe class. I like Eva because I work at 3am and I can take a flight out if BKK at 5:30pm and return to LA at 8:30 pm. The only thing that sucks bo
  24. You can book a flight at any travel agent in America. Just get the dates and they can book a one way flight back to America. My ex I in America had 2 children in Thailand. When I went to Thailand and brought them to America I bought two tickets in America (one way) at a local travel agent no problem. You can also book when you are in Thailand they have travel agents all over. In Pattaya there is one that I know of on soi yodsak near the Queen Vic. I think you can book a one way on Expedia or travelosity or orbitz. What I like to do is print out a good deal on the internet and take it to
  25. I have been looking for tickets in late August but the tickets seem to be very expensive for July and August. June seemed cheap but that's too soon. If you can wait they go down a little in September. Out of LAX on the 11th and returning the 25th of September I found around $600.00 on EVA plus my Southwest to LAX ($55.00). I can even get a free upgrade to deluxe on the two long haul flights because I fly so much. If you want to fly July or August you are going to pay a fortune, over $1000.00.
