Sabai inn on soi 2, I stayed there 2 years ago and I had a very big bed, it is a very good value, you can use the pool across the street at sabai lodge and they do ID checks, they have a safety box behind the front desk. Queen victoria on soi 6 is another great place but they do not do ID checks, but they have an inroom safe and it is right in the middle of the action, PM me if you plan to stay there, i know that hotel like the back of my hand. For 1350 baht you can get the FLB special at the residence garden which is a great value and it is the only place I stay now, for 1350 you get alot.

Fat asses shouldn't have to pay more, they have to save their money for food. They should make some of the seats bigger. I remember about 5 years ago I was flying Vegas to Philly and I had the middle seat in CATTLE CLASS. To my right was a Lindra Tripp lookalike, to my left was a William Perry lookalike. I couldn't move a muscle on that 4 hour flight in CATTLE CLASS. I don't think the flight had any other fat people, only the people sitting on either side of me. When we arrived I walked off the plane walking like I just got out of an all gay prision. I told the flight attendant "I fee

Thanks for all the advice guys, it looks like a very nice place, I may be staying there or I may stay at Bella Villa Prima on soi 4. My next trip will be longer than normal so I'll have to change hotels to save some baht. I'm looking forward to my next trip to LOS. Thanks again. cheers kj

I'm coming back to LOS in August for 2 1/2 weeks. I've never stayed at Eastiny Place Hotel, anyone stay there? Any info? I'm thinking of staying my final days at Eastiny Place Hotel, I'll be broke by then and need to save money on my hotel by then. Thanks for any advice. cheers kj

I had the same problem, I emailed Ib (the owner) and he booked the rooms for me at the FLB rate of 1350 baht. cheers kj

Northwest a 3 star? I can see that, except for their Frequent flyer miles. Seems like anytime you try to use their frequent flyer miles there is a rule buster (blackout date) and are charged double miles. I finally got to use my 58,000 miles on NWA, I am going to New York for fathers day weekend for 5 days, the flight to New York was a rulebuster but the return flight wasn't, so I was charged 37,500 miles for a round trip to Syracuse New York. That's not too bad considering flights have been very expensive lately. cheers kj

I just got off the phone with Eva air and I reserved a ticket for August the 13th returning August 31st. I was going to use my 40,000 miles to upgrade on the 2 longhaul flights (20,000 each) but the woman said because I booked before July 1st it is only costing me 15,000 each way, I still have an extra 10,000 for later. You have until July 1st to get the 15,000 upgrade. cheers kj 4 months and counting

I stayed there twice last year and liked it both times. Great food, great staff and clean hotel, they don't do ID checks. They do have an inroom safe and you have to sign for the key at the bar which is also where you check in. After 2am you have to use the back door on soi 6/1, be careful closing the door it slams if you don't hold the handle when closing it. Have fun. cheers kj

I am trying to book my next trip August or September, after the 30th of June we will need 20,000 miles for an upgrade to Evergreen Deluxe from Economy on one longhaul flight instead of the current 15,000 miles. I currently have 40,000 miles so I'll be OK for my next trip. I might say "fuck it" and book Evergreen Deluxe and use 30,000 miles and fly in Business. Economy→Evergreen Deluxe Route/Asia 10,000 Miles/2 Award Cheques Route/Seattle→ New York V.V. 10,000 Miles/2 Award Cheques Route/America Europe Before Jun/30/2004(Travel Date) 15,000 Miles/3 Award Cheques Start

I have about 10 Dvd's from LOS, for the most part they all work fine except the movie 1 Hour Photo only came in French. I have the movie 8 Mile that has lettering on it and part of one scene was missing. If you want the best quality, have a thai cuttie help you buy them, they know where the good markets are. cheers kj

I've flown both and I would only go with EVA. When I call EVA and make a reservation, I can tell them I want to use my miles to upgrade. Also they give me the Las Vegas to LAX to BKK ticket for the same price as LAX to BKK. I have to mail them a money order or cashiers check and they mail me the tickets, I just recieved my tickets in the mail today, I am flying Evergreen Deluxe and getting 125% miles. With the miles I have and the miles I get next month, I'll have enough miles on my following 2 trips to get the upgrades on all longhaul flights. You can book on Eva.com and get bonus miles

That's cool, I return on a Thursday and it would of been higher. Normally I leave on a Monday and retun on a Thursday, which is why I never pay the higher prices like $957, which isn't too bad considering they include the Las Vegas to LAX flight and my next two trips I'll be able to fly Evergreen Deluxe on both long haul flights. cheers kj 41 days and counting

I've always had great luck with Eva, the travel agent has a $50.00 (2000 baht) booking charge. If you book a few months ahead of time, the prices are competitive. Also you can't beat the arrival and departure times with Eva. cheers kj

I was able to accessed my paypal account once in Thailand, I had to confirm I was in Thailand, that all. For some reason paypal does not Transfer to Thailand banks. Why waste your money on Transfering? Just set up a seperate bank account and mail the ATM, I used to do that with my EX and it saves alot of money. good luck cheers kj

My sister eat bad chicken, very sick, go hospital. Need money for doctor and a new chicken. :) cheers kj -
I only fly Eva, they have the best looking flight attendants. ;D I use my miles for the free upgrades on the long haul flights. 15,000 miles I can fly in Evergreen Deluxe on one long haul flight. Once a year I pay a little extra and book Evergreen Deluxe and get 125% miles. I usually have enough to always fly in Evergreen Deluxe on the long haul flights. I have 60,000 miles on NWA but will still fly Eva to LOS. I got NWA 60,000 miles flying to New York 2 or 3 times a year to see family. I just returned from New York and froze my nuts off, still had a ball and ate good pizza. :) chee

dates on songkran fest this year
kjvegas replied to safaribob's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Figure it is the entire month of April, even when Songkran ends there are still people throwing water for at least a week. You are going to hate it, I stayed at the Queen Victoria this April and at 500 (5am) there was some asshole blasting music loud as hell for their holiday. I guarantee you will hate Songkran, most do. Wait a few weeks and go when you will enjoy yourself. If you have to go, here is what I suggest, put an inexpensive camera around your neck and be sure your passport is covered in plastic. cheers kj 29 days and counting -
I've only upgraded from Economy to Deluxe. I've never been in Business class, I am poor white trash ;D. I like to fly Deluxe, I'd save the miles for later, then again I sleep most of the way anyway. LAX to BKK, that is one long flight, hope I sleep that long. Xanax and Benedril should do it. cheers kj 40 days and counting.

If you have 15,000 miles with Eva you are allowed 1 free upgrade on 1 long haul flight. If available you can try to pay extra at the airport for an upgrade but it is not free. good luck kj

Fruit? The only fruit I had was from the TG staying in my room, unless the hotel gave it to me because they feel sorry for me. ;D Maybe they figured I could use a little extra fiber in my diet, wait until they see me next visit, I just lost about 20 pounds (9.09 kilos) :) cheers kj
