Very nice, if my dogs were awake they would try and Hump my computer monitor with their Red Rocket. cheers kj

LOS alot of Dogs, i've gotta bring my boys to LOS, they would be in Doggy mongering heaven. Jackcorbett, Good luck to you. I know how it is missing the pets while in LOS. The toughest part about going to LOS for me is missing my dogs, they are too spoiled. I'm sure there is a Thai website for you to look at about bringing pets into LOS. best of luck kj

I've found the best deals on Eva's website. Also i get bonus miles when i book online. good luck kj

I am also 5'6" and I upgrade to Evergreen Deluxe with my miles on the longhaul flight, if i don't have the miles, I usually fly economy and it isn't that bad for us short people. One time I paid extra for Evergreen Deluxe and was still in Economy from Taipei to Bangkok, they only guarantee Evergreen Deluxe on the long haul flights. In September i noticed they have a small footrest for the economy passengers which was nice. Evergreen Deluxe is very nice and one of the reasons I like it is less people but I'm going to fly Economy from Taipei to LAX or SFO next trip, pop a xanax and I

I had plastic knives LAX to Taipei and Taipei to LAX. The Taipei to BKK and BKK to Taipei flights had real knives. kj

What I do is call Eva directly and ask them if the upgrade is available, then i book online and get extra bonus miles for booking online. Or you can call them directly and book over the phone or book thru a local travel agent but online booking is usually cheaper and you can get bonus miles for online booking. I don't like using a local travel agent because they always have a service charge of about $50 (2000 baht). Which ever way you book, be sure the upgrade is available before you book because they only reserve certain seats for the upgrade. I always call 1-800-695-1188 before i boo

The 3rd largest thai city is??
kjvegas replied to cowboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I'd say Los Angeles but that might be the second largest. -
I've stayed at Queen Victoria Inn twice and I've been to Soi 6 numerous times. There is an internet cafe across from Queen Victoria inn, great connections and great service. Everytime i went there, there was a cute bargirl emailing one of her teeroks. The man who works there has 1 Hand but knows alot about computers, he helped me with some pictures (for ebay) before. I think i paid about 1 baht a minute. They also have overseas calls available. cheers kj

I just looked at my account again and I don't see any fee for taking a cash advance. I'm either missing something here or the bank likes me. I just assumed a cash advance is considered a purchase. But what I don't know could fill a dictionary. But I didn't take the cash advance just to save a small fee, i took the cash advance so i could get more baht to pay off TA. I can only take about 12,000 baht at a time from an ATM so a Cash Advance is more convenient. cheers kj
-
I forgot to mention, I do not own a credit card. I have an ATM card with a Visa logo. My maximum daily withdrawl with my ATM is $300 (12,000 baht), i keep it low for a reason. But I can do a cash advance of up to $1000 (40,000 baht) with my ATM card because there is a Visa logo. I've done it twice in LOS, I did it about 4 1/2 weeks ago when i paid TA and i was never charged a fee. I don't get charged a big fee because it was my own money and not credit. If you do a cash advance with a credit card, the credit card company will charge you up the ass. If you choose to do a Cash A

If your ATM card has a Visa Logo you can go inside the bank or go to an Exchange booth and get a cash advance. That will usually get you more cash than just an ATM withdrawl and with a cash advance, there isn't an ATM fee that your bank will charge you. If you take a Cash Advance, you will need to bring your passport with you. Good luck cheers kj

Residence Garden - how long is the walk?
kjvegas replied to MCC's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Saigon Butterfly, Pratamnak Road turns into Second Road at South Pattaya Road, most people don't even realize the road changes but after the South Pattaya road intersection, second road is then a 1 way road. You will see about 5 bahtbuses lines up near South Pattaya road (next to the school on Pratamnuk Road) trying to get passengers, do not take one of those buses, they do not leave until the bahtbus is full. Your best bet is to walk a little south and there will be bahtbuses heading south to Jomtien (unless they are chartered already). MCC, RG is a great hotel and a great valu -
Yes they have food and drinks, the food is OK, I eat but then again i'll eat anything. They have showers, I'm not sure how to get to the showers, I never took one, i must smell like shit when i get to immigration, no wonder I go thru immigration so fast. so the showers are somewhere near the bathrooms. They have internet access in the business center. After you give your Evergreen Lounge ticket in Taipei, take a right and it is a quick left, actually your second left because your first left is for the employees. I'm not sure about beds but you could take a nap in the lounge

If you get a chance to fly Eva do it, you won't be disappointed it's a great airline. They have great arrival times, decent priced and cute flight attendants. If you have to fly SWA, book online Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, they have midweek specials. SWA flies into LAX but not SFO, they fly into Oakland. good luck cheers kj

Eva is all I fly. I've found the best prices are on their website. I just returned yesterday and I paid $750 and i left on a Saturday night (9/18). The $750 also included my Vegas connections on America West. I'm going back to LOS Superbowl Sunday, I found $591 plus tax out of LAX and i'm flying Southwest to LAX. Try to book a Southwest ticket to LAX if you can, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's Southwest has midweek intrenet specials. Another thing you could do is try to book a ticket thru SFO, sometimes it is cheaper. You could also call Eva at 1-800-695-1188 but bookig o

There is a very good tailor inside Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok called "Peter's Clothiers", it is located near one of the entrances. If you are walking into the hotel from the shopping plaza area it is the first shop on the right. About 3 1/2 years ago I had 3 nice suits custom fitted and they are still very nice, great quality. About 3 years ago I had 2 silk shirts and 2 black dress pants custom fitted, I still wear those pants everyday at work, they are made very well. There are a few tailors in Pattaya at the start of walking street just past the open air bars near the water, I bough

I don't like the Universal Gym on Beach Road, it isn't a bad place but it is always too crowded. I like to go a gym where there is no people, I work out at Gold's in Vegas at midnight when noone is there. Actually I'm leaving in a few minutes. There is a gym in Jomtien called Hard Body that I like to use, it is 3 stories, a few businesses to the right of KR bar, no AC (which I like) but there are ceiling fans and you can pay by the day but you are better getting a 10 day or 2 weeks deal. Here is a picture: good luck kj

Is anyone else waiting for prices to drop
kjvegas replied to ting_tong's topic in Airline Discussion
After September 4th or 5th the fare decreases, I was going to go to LOS in August but they charge us up the ass with the summer fares. I'm leaving September 18th which is a Saturday night and paid $750 (30,000 baht) on Eva which included my Vegas - SFO connection. I booked Economy but have enough miles to upgrade on both long haul flights but I have to fly cattle class from Taipei to Bangkok. I was originally leaving September 17th which is a Friday afternoon in Evergreen Deluxe and was paying $950 (38,000 baht) out of LAX and I was taking a Southwest air to LAX so it was well over $1000 -
You'll like Eva and the flight attendants are very cute. I ordered my tickets on Friday afternoon at eva.com and they just arrived today with DHL. I couldn't fly NWA again because I am scared to death of the flight attendants, they all look like Linda Trip before her sex change, I am fairly certain Linda Trip was once a man, that is one large mammel. cheers kj

I only fly Eva and I always fly in Evergreen Deluxe. Evergreen Deluxe is very comfortable, great service, cute flight attendants and at a reasonable price. I think Evergreen Deluxe is better than any 1st class here in America. I highly recommend Evergreen Deluxe. cheers kj

I once again had to change the day I leave it's my third time this year but this time it is only 1 day. I was supposed to leave Friday afternoon out of LAX and get into Bangkok at 1:00am on Sunday but I had to change it to Saturday night out of Vegas and Sunday morning out of San Francisco (1:00am), I get into Bangkok on Monday morning at 11:00am on Eva. I was paying $947 including tax in Evergreen Deluxe out of LAX on Friday afternoon and I was taking Southwest to LAX. Today I changed it to Saturday night and paid $755 including tax on Eva.com and that includes the connecting flig

Cowboy, I've never flown United. I'm in New York now, i flew Northwest. I think Evergreen Deluxe is better than 1st class on most flights here in the states. I flew in cattle class from Vegas to New York and sat in the first row of cattle class and was looking in 1st class, I could see they are wasting their money, no legroom and no footrest like Evergreen deluxe. 1st class It didn't look too spacious but that could of been the large flight attendant taking up all the room. cheers kj

I usually call Eva at 1-800-695-1188 and book thru them. I have to mail a moneyorder to LA and they mail me my tickets. The prices are very close if Eva includes the Vegas to LAX connection. On my upcoming September trip I am paying $850 out of LAX, if Eva included the Vegas to LAX connection the ticket was close to $900. But I've had flights on Eva where the prices were the same with or without the Vegas connection. I am paying $70 on Southwest so it was about the same price, I did it that way because some of the flights to LAX were either sold out or inconvenient times for me, I have

I leave Friday September 17th (afternoon flight) and I am paying $850 plus tax on Eva in Evergreen Deluxe, not a bad deal. Economy is usually $200 cheaper. I was originally paying $1200 in August for Economy on Eva but I had to change my trip recently and even saved some money. cheers kj
