I booked for early Febraury and I have the 1350 rate. Also when I stayed there in September they wanted to see a Credit card for guarantee. I don't own a Credit card so I was able to give them my ATM card with Visa logo no problems. They never charged my ATM card and I never gave them a cash deposit. cheers kj 59 days and counting

Using the Thai Toilets take alot of practice, something everyone should do before going to Thailand. If not you will have to bring alot of extra boxers with you, it can be very messy ;D ;D Seriously, your best bet is to try and take a healthy one at your hotel. Thai toilets are a nightmere especially if you've had a few cocktails. Pushing Mud in Thailand can be an adverture, it just takes some practice. I'm more mad when my finger poks thru the paper, that really sucks. ;D ;D FLB has Farang friendly toilets. cheers kj

I just looked at my EVA tickets for the first of February and they say U class. I booked my tickets with EVA, not a travel agent, maybe that is why they won't allow upgrade or miles with R or H. ??? I booked economy and upgraded to Evergreen Deluxe on the long haul flight. All 4 tickets say U class. I always fly EVA, about 3 times a year. I am now an Executive Member, whatever the hell that means. Good luck cheers kj

Ty_stick, I only fly EVA and I had that problem once, I had a very short layover in Taiwan. They told me no to worry about it because if the flight from America is runing late they would wait, they told me there are probably alot of people on your same flight from America. If you want to call EVA the toll free # is 1-800-695-1188. If you do get stuck changing airlines they would put your baggage on the correct airline, each airline has a different code, just like each airport has a different code. Well I have only been back a little over a month and yesterday I booked my next trip to LOS. Yesterday I also talked to the scheduler at my job for the first time in about 2 month, she was pissed at me for calling in sick the day I went on vacation from LAX. She also gave me a day off in January so I could go to New York for my Mom's surprise 60th birthday. Anyway, I called Eva the reserved February 1st until the 12th. Harvey, That sounds like a great deal. I just got off the phone with EVA and they quoted $641.00 plus tax which should make it just over $700.00 for February 1st until February 12th. That fare includes as Vegas to LAX, actually the fare was the same out of Vegas or LAX. I have to mail in a money order so they can send my tickets. I'd like to book online but they do not include the Vegas to LAX and I do not own a credit card, which is required to book online. I took the Bus from Pattaya to Korat twice. You leave at a different bus terminal, it takes about 6 hours which really sucks. If I was you I would pop a few pills and sleep all the way to Korat. good luck kj

I was in Pattaya mid January, I didn't think it was all that busy. I'm not exactly sure when the high season ends, I assume when Songkran starts in April and the farangs are turned off by the event. cheers kj

It is definitely worth it. I am only 5'6" and I feel cramped in economy. I'll be flying Evergreen Deluxe in February when I go. Also sign up for Evergreen Deluxe frequent flyer, you get 125% miles when you fly evergreen deluxe and you get to use the VIP lounge. If you sign up for evergreen deluxe, you will get at least 1 free upgrade on the long haul flights on your next trip. cheers kj

I normally fly EVA, however I have close to 60,000 miles on Northwest. They have a cash and miles promotion but it ends December 18th and I want to go to LOS after the Superbowl which is the 1st of February. Does anyone know if the Cash and Miles are done more then once a year? Is this promotion a one time deal? A similair thing happened to me. I was in Pattaya 3 weeks ago and this little girl gave me her email address and password if I send her a picture that I took of her. After a quick look there are about 4 guys emailing her and she is giving them all the same line "I love you, I only have you". ::) I normally wouldn't care what they do, as I m one of the biggest butterflies when I go to LOS. cheers kj

Sounds like I have to book ASAP. I just saw $871.00 on Eva.com in Evergreen Deluxe for early March. I think $1071.00 in Evergreen Deluxe isn't too bad, Eva is a great airline. I am a Member of Evergreen Deluxe, I like the Evergreen Deluxe lounge in Taipei. Eva has some cute flight Attendents, one of these times I might have to rub one out in the bathroom (just kidding) . I also have the LOS blues, I just got back 2 weeks ago and I have to wait about 5 months to go back. cheers kj

Soi 6, Sometimes I'll book a flight out of LAX and take a Southwest to LAX. Sometimes it saves me alot of money, the only thing is I have to recheck my baggage. I booked with Eva last time, I saw it was over $1000.00 on Eva.com, I changed the day from Friday to Thursday and it was $750.00. I think the day you leave is important. I called Eva at 1-800-695-1188 to book it, they even gave me Vegas to LAX, I had to mail in the money order and they sent me my tickets certified mail. good luck hope it helps you. cheers kj

How about the Penthouse? I've never stayed there but it looks like a cool place, it is on soi 13/4. I'm not sure if they have inroom safes but excellent location. I always request a room on the top floor, less noise. good luck kj

Try the residence garden, I paid 1350 a night. I'll never stay at another hotel, great hotel at a great price. You won't be disappointed. kj

I just came back from LOS, I could see they are trying to clean the place up a bit, especially in Bangkok. I was in a Taxi to the airport and I could see the road crew cleaning the signs overhead. When I was in Pattaya the local police shut down some of the street vendors who were selling knock off merchandise. A few hundred stormed city hall. Once I was walking into The Royal Garden mall on the beach road side and I could see the vendors on the street pack up quickly when the police arrived > It is still a great time, I could not tell the difference except when i went into classroom
