Good Prices On Thai Airways From USA
partyanimal replied to partyanimal's topic in Airline Discussion
doubt you'll hear from her till tuesday. 1000 peak season sounds pretty good to me. also larry is a travel agent on Canal Streetbthat seems to have a special relationship with China Air. -
I figure I'll leave the Nana area at 9 and get to the airport at 10. All prior flights have been very early morning so have no idea of traffic at this time.

Money back? No. Hansum man must pay EXTRA for Thai delicacy!

Since the non-stop is more direct, you fly less miles than if u stop at Narita. i really enjoyed the Sing non-stop so I'm hoping the Thai flight is almost as nice. Not holding me breath though!

Yes, it's a great atmosphere to see the fights!

Thanks Tom. When I was checking out fares a few months one of the big 3, Orb, Travelcity, or Exp had a low price but did not include FF miles. Flying from the USA, the FFmiles are very important since they add up quickly.

Good Prices On Thai Airways From USA
partyanimal replied to partyanimal's topic in Airline Discussion
I paid 940, including all taxes, with FF miles for JFK departure on Saturday. Booked in late June, I think. Not a fantastic price, but the very best I could find at that time point for my very inflexible schedule. ueto vacation constrainsts I needed to include Thanksgiving in my trip. At that time it was at least 60 bucks cheaper than anywhere else. But now, it's only 15 bucks cheaper than the Thai website and about 80 cheaper than Orbitz or Expedia. If you live in New York it's tempting to fly back at 1AM Monday, arrive at 6AM Monday and go straight to work. But it seems the Mo -
Are booking classes, (Q, Y etc) consistent among airlines or different. Does anyone know if there is a specific booking class where you don't get FF miles?

Great pool for lap swimming and if not staying at yensabai Condo, u can swim in the pool for 100 baht a day.

Called Thai Airways to price the NY-BKK non-stop. They gave me a price but said that I might be able to get a lower price from Jing and they gave me her number. So apparently she has some kind of specuial relationship with Thai. Back in June, she locked in a price aND i PICKED UP THE TIKETS TODAY AT HER OFFICE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE eMPIRE sTATE bUILDING. If you're flying Thai from the USA, I suggest you give Jing a call and see if she can beat your price.

Aloha is OK, but suggest you only book for a night or two and check out the Marina Beach Resort (not Marina Villa next door). Aloha, Weekender, and Marina have same same beach. You're going to love the Samui airport, numero uno in the whole wide world!

Chaweng sucks GIANT moosecock! Lamai is f*cking awesome! The muay thai is great. Lots of girls and beer bars in Lamai. vv You can walk everywhere in Lamai. Weekender is a good choice of hotel but I *strongly* recpmend MARINA BEACH RESORT (NOT Marina Villa next door) marinasamui@asia.com 66 7723 3116 0 7723 3116 This hotel should be about 3000 baht but is only 1250. I paid 950 as a walk in January, but would pay 3000 if that was the price.

then disregard my post. But somewhere in Terminal One there are free showers.

You're the man Upena! I was looking around there website and I saw this: "In addition to Delta, China Airlines also has codeshare cooperations with Alitalia, Thai Airways, Korean Air, Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines". I'm taking the Thai non-stop in Novemeber and would rather put my miles on China Air than United. Wonder if this is possible? Ideally, I'd like to put one way on China and the returnnon United. anyone ever do this?

I'm not jumping thru hoops to stay at any hotel. Plenty of others available in October.

Sa-teef, I think you're right on about the benefits of a friendly staff when you're onn vacation. For part of my last trip, I stayed at the Whire Rose, the one on Soiyensabai, and while they were never actually rude, they didn't make me feel as if I were a valued customer. Is the Sunshimne Vista directly next to the Welkom Inn, accross the street from the Welkom Inn, or sown the soi? Saw apool on the website but the serviced apartment next to the Welkom Inn didn't look like it had a pool. -
i can get to the point where i input my FF number (starts with WA), then i hit the button and it jsut brings ne back to the screen i was on without my FF number. ordaniraly 500 FF would not be a big deal, but i'm at around 96K miles, so everyone counts. maybe i can get to 100K with a delta trip but the truth is these days is tnhat the LOS is the only place i want to go and i don't fly on business.

Last week I got an email offering me 500 free miles if I take their online survey. However, I can't seem to actually get to the survey to get my free miles. Has anyone else gotten this email and have you been able to complete the survey?

When you get off of most planes from the USA (don't know the letter code for the wings), there is a waiting area and a nearby men's room that has the free showers. There might be others too. After the shower there's a long walk to a totally different wing that has the flight from tapei to bkk or tapei-hong kong-bkk.

Thanks Emil! the 1000 baht is certainly not a strict limitation. this is a short trip so am willing to spend more as long as the value is there. -

Just got an email saying they were all booked up for my arrival date in November. How could a brand new hotel be all booked up for November? My guess is maybe they rented a big block of rooms to peiople invoved in the Asian Games being held that week. Still searching for the perfect 1000 baht Pattaya hotel. Used to stay at the Welkom Inn but there's really only one room I like there and they don't have in-room safes.
