High Returns On Deposits

Be better off walking across the Thai/Cambo border with 10K of Ice gaffer taped to your waist. -
I'm no expert on Thai food but just looking at the signage of the place it appears to me to be a Chinese-Thai type establishment. I don't even know the name of the place because there's no signage in English. I've eaten there dozens of times usually alone but the food seems alien to the Thai (Isaan) Girls that I've taken there. As I said, they do like the food. It's like the Thai equivalent of an English cafe. No nonsense, good food at a good price. Edit: I don't feel that I explained it well. They're not serving up Chinese food but Thai food by Chinese/Thai people.

Lots of complaints. Surely time for Pete to say something. I've mainly gone there to have a drink although I have eaten there on a few occasions. No real complaints about the food, nothing to write home about either. For drinks only it can be a wonderful experience, one of the best spots in Patts to just kick back and chill out.

Do they really do Grouper in batter? When I want Grouper I go to the Chinky/Thai place on the corner of Chaiyapoon (sp?) and Third Road. Absolutely delicious. In fact all the food they serve is delicious and of course at sensible pricing for Pattaya. I have brought TGs to eat there and they all said it was very good food. You probably all know the place, I'd be surprised if you expats had never eaten there. Not atall fancy just delicious food.

I used to eat at Tropical Berts most days on my last trip. The best Full English breakfast that I've eaten in Patts. Consistantly good over several months. Whenever I wanted Falang food as an evening meal again it would be at Tropical Bert's. They serve up a lot of food there and have loads of regular customers. Even fucking German war vets eat and drink there because it's so good. The staff there are top notch too.

The carvery at Queen Vic is good food but it is expensive compared to other places. Robin's Nest on Soi Diana does a very good carvery for a reasonable price. No problem going back for second helpings if you're a greedy fucker.

Had fish and chips at the Jolly Friar on Soi Lengkee and it was the worst I've ever eaten. Think it was Dory? I can still remember the first mouthful nearly two years later. It was just some sort of mush inside the batter. Like microwaved baby food. Yuck. Are they still in business?

Those roasted chickens they sell on the roadside taste odd too. Must let them loose on garbage dumps or something. Scrawny as fuck. More meat on a sparrow. Do they have sparrows in LOS? Don't recall seeing any birds in Pattaya. Go to the beach and look up, where's all the fucking birds?

I'm guessing you could buy a whole chicken at the market for less than 100 Baht.

Awesome photo. I think the balloon was put up by Private Dancer Agogo for their Curry Night.

Are you talking about the one on LK Metro? -
I'm sure most street vendors would cook it for you if you managed to communicate your wishes effectively and made it clear that you would pay them for their help.

Who says you can't get a good burger in LOS?
papillon replied to 9cisco999's topic in Restaurants and food
Me neither and the OP is a frequent poster. Perhaps somebody should drop him a PM, lol. -
280 Baht is expensive just like all the other Falang food in Pattaya. Forget about how much it costs back home, this is basically chicken, rice, bread and a few spices, 100 Baht is about right.

I don't know how to spell it either but yes, Pad Krapow Goong Khai Dow (with egg). -
Ask for Chips next time and not French Fries.

I am renting a storage unit in England. When I get time I will read through the small print to see what happens if I stop payment. If the OP ever revisits this thread, maybe he can explain what happens in LOS.
-
Well I'm not sure about US law but there could be situations where the Unit Owner is not necessarily the legal owner of the contents even though the unit has not been paid for by the renter. For example, a Will Executor, the Court, Insurance Company, etc. It's obviously not clear cut because otherwise there wouldn't be any of these auctions. The Owner of the Storage Company would just sift through everything and sell them at the best market for what he has.
-
Not sure the Storage unit owner would be allowed to look inside the unit and help himself to the goodies.
