Tune Hotel, Asoke (Suk Soi 14)

Rucksacks nowadays are designed to cater for that eventuality. It's a non-issue. -
We'll see where they are in a month's time. They've got a bit of a tough schedule coming up.

Uploading multiple photos
CheshireTom replied to Billions's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Step 1. When you left-click the "more reply options" button, a new editor will open as below. Left-click "choose files". Step 2. A file selection window will open as below. For ease of use it's better to have all the pics you want to upload in one folder - I have named my folder "resize" Step 3. A. Select those files you want to upload. B. The "Open" button will become highlighted. Left-click the "Open button". Step 4. A. The files you selected will load into a list below the dialogue editing pane. Left click "add to post" for those files you want to ad -
In Section E (the rear section) there are 15 x AB pairs, but only 13 x JK pairs. From Thai's own seat plans ...
-
You have to hover your cursor over the seat you want the info on and a little info bubble pops up.
-
A, G and K are the seats that DO have a box in front. See Thai A340-600 on seatguru for further info.

FedEx Chonburi are complete and utter incompetents
CheshireTom replied to MM's topic in Expat Issues
Have you ever been to Bangkok? Imagine trying to deliver anything from Nana Post Office to, for example, Pantip by making a succession of left turns. -
That may be true for folk who are trying to present their photographs in a professional, rather than artisitc way. Unfortunately, the general perception of hdr effects is a bit different. I don't think there's any explaining or apologising to do. It'll be a sad day for the forum if folk are comparing your snaps to those of professional photographers.

It's pretty easy to knock out "faux hdr" from basic jpegs in Photoshop ... I like the effect and, as you say, it can make boring shots come to life.

I was always a bit wary about ordering anything to be delivered in Thailand, whether originating locally or overseas, but nowadays I'm fairly happy with the EMS service. For example, I ordered a motorcycle rain-suit from BKK (almost 1,000 km away) yesterday morning and it was delivered today just after lunch. That's a fairly decent service. -

There is a government funded project that's been ongoing for a couple of years now to digitise and reference each land parcel (I'm not sure if it includes all the provinces, or just the more densely populated ones). Quite how each land parcel will be referenced, I have no idea - in the past each Land Office pretty much did their own thing and, as can be seen from the resultant addresses, it was all a bit haphazard. -
Plenty of buses from the Southern Bus Terminal in BKK, or the train from Hualamphong. That said, getting to the Southern bus terminal (Sai Tai Taling Chan) can be an adventure on its own. At the moment, you'll probably have loads of half-wits heading down that way for the Full Moon Party on Ko Pha Ngan.

The food looks good, but at over 300 Baht for two basic Thai dishes and a draft beer it isn't exactly cheap for local scoff.
-
Why don't you just buy the stuff from any supermarket/7-11 like everyone else? Around 15-18 Baht for a half-litre.
-
Agreed. At least compared to the Bangkok Beergarden. The Thai scoff on the menu isn't exactly cheap.

Maybe you skipped the later posts but it would seem that "One is always on duty" and "One is always available" aren't quite the same thing. Personally, I don't believe that negative feedback shouldn't be posted on the forums. It always gives the owner of the business the opportunity to demonstrate how he deals with customer feedback and turn a negative into a positive.

Maybe they should get KFC to do their deliveries. -

I stopped using DHL and reverted to EMS - no hassles nowadays. Previously, much the same experiences as yourself (even though I'm not in Chonburi). -
This thread prompted me to pop into my local Indian restaurant in Hat Yai (which isn't aimed at farangs) this afternoon. Most dishes on the menu are under 100 Baht, but not chicken tikka masala for some reason - 220 Baht plus rice and/or naan on top of that. I've no idea why it's relatively expensive, but it is.
-
A couple of pics would be nice. Is it an Indian restaurant, or just somewhere that has chicken tikka + nan on their menu? The name is a bit confusing.
-
Thanks, Sam. Good info there.

I don't see what's in it for City (fining him) - unless they're only trying to encourage him to bugger off. Good to see Vidic, Jones and Smalling back for Utd though - they all look fresh going into the Xmas/New Year games.
-
What's the legal nonsense with Balotelli at City? I don't think they want that dragging on into the New Year.
-
Maybe he only qualifies for tourist visas. As it is, both Vancouver and Toronto (as well as the embassy in Ottawa) issue non-imm visas.
-
Only if you book one of the love seats. Unless you're a fat bastard, of course.
