Neither. I've just changed over to a retirement visa.

Lots of info available ... get a TG to phone for up to date info (especially during the rainy season) ...

Bell does a service to DM (350 Baht), but AOT does a free service from Suvarnabhumi. I'd take Bell to Suvarnabhumi and the AOT service from there to Don Mueang if cost was the priority. See Firemansam's excellent post in the Airline Discussion section re the BKK-DMK-BKK shuttle service.

Is there a current map of all hotels
CheshireTom replied to twomp's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Most good hotel booking sites should have decent enough maps. This is Combinedhotels.com Whatever you choose is going to be out of date to some degree. -
Thanks for that, Sam. Good info.

Which restaurant? -
Their T&Cs are quite clear. You can claim the tax back, but there is an admin fee applied to discourage you from doing so.
-
Normally they are served (as dips) with poppadoms as an appetiser.

Chicken Tikka Masala - a great British culinary invention!

That'll change when Boon Rawd is doing the distribution. From The Nation ...

240 Baht in Sizzler gets you fish 'n chips (or baked tattie) plus pasta+tuna, choice of soups, a huge choice of salads and a choice of desserts. Good value.

No, like some journalists, they (or at least the Captain) just thought all they had to do was turn up on Sunday to collect the trophy. From ESPN ... "We're all kind of stunned," Love said. "We know what it feels like now from the '99 Ryder Cup. It's a little bit shocking. We were playing so well, we figured it didn't matter how we sent them out there. We got a couple of matches flipped there in the middle that cost us."
-
Well, the point is that it wasn't just "what some guy wrote in the Herald". ESPN gave us an alternative view .... If there was, then: a. I can't find them. b. Europe deserved everything that eventually came their way. Anyway, from the guys at ESPN ...

So, you are marrying a Norwegian in Thailand?

Facebook. He also has a website here.

Oops! From Sunday's Boston Herald ... In it's own way, the article sums up perfectly why the US got beat.

Flights to Start Between U Tapao and Siem Reap
CheshireTom replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Airline Discussion
That's my understanding - international charter flights, but no scheduled stuff. It'll be interesting to see what comes to pass - maybe something like Chinese tourists doing a two-centre holiday (Siem Reap and Pattaya). -
Great stuff! Olé, olé olé olé! Well done to both teams! That puts the cat amongst the pigeons in the fight for Team of the Year in the BBC Sports Personality annual bash.

As Mick said, the Brit Embassy website is the starting point . For the necessary translations/copies, several good places can be found around the intersection of Ploenchit and Wireless Roads (Wave Place and Mahatun Plaza) (5 mins from the Brit Embassy).

That is/was the farang geezer's site. Was his missus going to continue the business?

Do you have a normal Thai telephone/mobile number for him within Thailand? Other than comprising 10 digits, 866 666 8393 doesn't make a lot of sense.
-
That was your driver from the third floor, right?

In defence of BigD, I don't think he's wrongly claimed it's good value. Only that it's good.

LOL - you have my sympathy. I once made the mistake of venturing into one of those Subway sandwich shops in Bangkok with the aim of ordering a cheese and tomato roll. I left 10 minutes later a broken man - and without any sort of food. They might as well have been speaking Urdu the way the bombarded me with this, that and the next option. Needless to say, I haven't been back.
